As a HI3rd player, CN community is the wild. I mean, even most in CN community do not support this plots. And while in every community there will be some deranged people, only CN making stuff like this.
And they get better rewards than SEA/Global too.
I've been playing HI3 for 3~ years now, and I can still say that, while CN community is insane, the Global community is almost equally stupid.
There was a translation post of a well known CN CC and player apologizing for what CN did and the a good portion of the global community went and started shitting on them for being "CCP slave" because they were trying to "Improve their image". Captainverse is also so controversial in global because... there's a dude in it. While CN Community wants it to be harem paradise, the community outside of it is OBSESSED with talking about sexuality and gender - a lot of people complain that the captain being a character is "Lesbian Erasure propaganda from the CCP" and to "Let lesbians be lesbians" (Both actual comments taken) - even on most platforms right now, if you see a post of a "Captain" character and another female character in the HI3 universe, people will be absolutely screaming their asses off.

I wish that things were different back then with Mihoyo. I'm a global player and looking back at this again, it's shameful and embarrassing. Not it became Hoyoverse and it's under a tight leash to CCP and the CN Community. As much rewards and content we get, it won't be grand as it was nor will it be fair unless CN has a say in it.

Funny thing is Chinese games are full of smut...or used to be. Also go to any Chinese gaming web portal and you'll see borderline porn ads plastered all over them. As a person who play honkai impact third for a bit….the hatred for CN is unreal….so let me speed run more incidents from Honkai Impact….the Kiana armpit incident, male playable characters incident, Kiana “bunny” ears incident(basically her hair looked like bunny ears.This was a limited event skin you could get for free if you spent money pulling during the lunar new year update.they had to change it)…flower censorship incident…and many…many more….and more to come. So yeah….there is a LOT of bad blood between Global/SEA(south east Asia) and CN.
I wish there were videos made about all of the incidents. Shit is wild. Now we barely get lewd stuff compared to og HI3

I live and work at another game company right by Mihoyo's building and randomly saw Da Wei walking to the office (I assume) on a Saturday last spring. I guess they arent too worried about lunatics these days, but also really surprised me that the CEO was just walking around on the street by himself.
Also you'd be surprised how easy it is to get into one of these companies. Just pretend you forgot your id and squeeze in with a random employee as they swipe their card and you're in. Or literally ask the security guard nicely to buzz you in.
I remember, despite not even playing any Mihoyo game at the time. There was some criticism on Fu Hua being center stage in that music video. She's heavily representing China, with Chinese clothes, name, calm and demure. And CN was NOT happy Fu Hua was suddenly in a bunnygirl outfit, because "she's not like that".
I couldn't roll my eyes harder at that...

We have lot of skins for Fu Hua that doesn't represent China or whatever bs you talking about. We also saw in story, versions of Fu Hua that she was an simple woman that didn't had any relation, or desire, to follow the very conservative vision of her father for her life.
Fu Hua was usually calm but never demure. There's so many chapter where Fu Hua is legitimately angry, she goes against people that she believes are wrong or is completely crazy that what you saying is just incredible dumb.
If you don't play the game, maybe you shouldn't believe on everything you read online.

All I have ever heard is "references from something"
I was there at the time. It was never about Fu Hua it was always about how we got something special for once instead of the same old. The Fu Hua thing was an excuse to rile up some others but the main bad actors were just mad. It's not like we even got more currency. The Fu Hua center stage part is even fansplained to be Senti/Shiki-chan due to the eyes going red.
Regardless this is old drama, so it's wild he's covering it now when the 2 communities have moved mostly past it.

As a HI3rd player (2019), the video forgot to mention that when HoV's (Herrscher of the Void)'s summer skin was about to release, they had to make her dress longer AND repositoned her winning pose because CN players yet again cried over her panties showing a bit underneath
Yeah, it's really ridiculous how gacha communities can get. I mean there are things that gacha devs have done that made me pissed off at them, but never to the extend of these insane people. I mean really assassination attempts? That's beyond insane. I still like Mihoyo's games mainly Honkai Star Rail, but it really sucks about not getting great skins like other games such as the ones Tectone pointed out, Azur Lane and Nikke. I guaranteed if those skins were in Miyoho's games especially like bikini Raiden Shogun in Genshin and bikini Kafka in Honkai Star Rail. They would make tons of money, but they can't do it cause of fear of more assassination attempts or the Chinese government cracking down on them. I also will say though I don't really agree with Tectone on the whole bring back bully in school, but there definitely needs to be more discipline. It's crazy how much parents let kids get away with, and that leads them to be horrible adults when they get older.
Honestly i think just straight up bikini skins, bunny girl skins and other stuff that falls into the same category is just stupid. If you're gonna design a skin i want it to be cool and not "default sexy costume type b" you can just look at art online if you want that.

They wanted to change kiana hoFi battlesuit because it was sexy. And even her charge attack where she does a sexy pose. In the end hoyo change her charge attack to a simple sword strike. But they didn’t change the character Design. It really sucks how much power CN player have over HI3 man I want more for Global players.
The reason people did not talk about this is that it happened while everyone was busy having a freakout and breaking Google TOS over the fact that they did not get enough free stuff in Genshin for the anniversary.

I will say it like this. There weren’t really other incidents. The people that tell you you can’t like her only said it because of you. Like I am very active in the community and even know people from Chatroom 1 (ptsd stare) but I never met someone like this in this community in like 3 years or so. Also the bunny girl video is reuploaded. You can just search for it. Also the bunny girl incident was like the only big drama there was exept maybe the beach skinn one also mentioned in the video. And the current people hate part 2 before it releases.
its always like this ..played a mobile game back then and chinese players had direct communication access to the devs via QQ/wechat and they know what banner/event is gonna drop and what future characters are gonna be way before global players did and some games provide “vip” Customer service features that give whale players special perks

Oh, there is another funny “incident” with CN players, Girl’s Frontline 2 cuckoldry saga. Long story short, in GF1 you basically control an army of robot/gun girls that you can get marry to or vowing in the game. Now in sequel game, your original group got disbanded and scattered, so when you find out that one the playable characters from the first was traveling along with a dude called Raymond(keep in mind this was during the Beta), the CN players went fucking berserk, saying shit about being cuckold by Raymond. In the official release of said character, Raymond got changed into Estel(i think?), but the dev add in a Lighting charm on that character design which by a bit a stretch connected back to Raymond. After all that, they started looking into the book all the girls were reading in the game version of a lounge, they quickly identified the book’s name( i think one of the books was The Handmaid’s tale), the CN players now started to go even more berserk about being called a pervert tyrant that only see woman as object from the meaning of the book. Oh, and to rub salt in the wound, one of the protagonist from the list of books is called Estel so yeah…funny time for CN players.

I remember when playing hi3rd since 1st release (before global) and stick with my account(cn server) then the new rules come, you need a Chinese id to play it, you got a limited time hours per day playing it (depends on the id), you got a warning when playing it at certain hour(arround midnight i guess). Then i quit playing it lmao XD

So like, it was kinda crazy being a player at the time and all this went down, I honestly thought it was a cool little 3D animation of the characters, mind you this was happening on the global sever and we never are treated as well as the Jp server, and seeing how that whole thing turned into pure chaos and even the Devs sent out an apology in game with meek rewards and then they gave jp an apology reward that was WAY more tangible for the game, crazy shit
(Note: I wrote Jp server, I haven’t played in a very long time, it was the CN server that got pandered to a lot, not the Jp server)

yeah when i started playing HI3rd my friend recomended i play in the southeast asia server because the updates are faster and when i heard this the first time the people i met there that speak english they basicly said "yeah we dont talk about the people over at CN"

Talking about PGR for a sec, I actually was seeing ads for it for a bit there and I thought it looked neat. However I wrote it off cause all mobile game ads are absolute garbage and they're a dime a dozen. If I had seen some channels covering it, or some articles on the game I might have actually checked it out. Personally I think seeing coverage of the game is more effective than basic marketing on RUclips.

As you know there's Imaginary Tree and each leaves on that tree is a world/universe.
The universe where we exist is called captain verse.
Main Story Verse is separated from ours and it's of higher dimension that Captain Verse. Another one that is of higher dimension is where Adele come from (the Rosemary Rita universe).
You can do quick check on the Honkai Wiki regarding Imaginary tree and Captain Verse, there's even the dimension structure too.

In my own experience, it's not that HI3 community didn't talk about it, we did, a lot even, because it was going to be an exclusive thing for Global but the CN playerbase just has to chime in and ruin it. I myself know just how f-ed up the CN community can be, and sadly it's not just in HI3 but other games over there as well, it's crazy.
I think we simply don't care anymore because at the end of the day, whenever something wrong happen to the game it's most likely because of the CN community and we all will just roll our eyes and go "Oh let me guess, is it you guys again?" this one in particular, we're just tired of just mentioning it for the hundredth times or more.
And no I'm not saying "CN players bad! Grr!" some CN players I know are really chill and wholesome, so in my opinion the CN community is just like Twitter in CN form.

I was there when the bikini incident happened. About the "suggestive" part, you can see the underwear in the bikini costume when it first released but then that "person", complained thus making the pose, which now covers the pantsu, look weird and unnatural(good thing Mihoyo made it more natural though. As for that "person", apparently, it was a kid, and no he did not save money for the frigid empress, he's been using his mom's wallet. I still remember channel 1 cursing that kid 🤣. The funny part of it all is that in the story there are only 2 groups of couples that are apparently lesbian and those are Bronya and Seele when they are childs (and the curious thing is that it is not even known if Bronya is only lesbian or not, it could easily be said that she is bisexual for a topic that I will take up later) and Yae Sakura with Kallen Kaslana, but, the thing is that apparently, those ships are specifically from one universe bubble, since the plot of honkai impact is about multiversal stories in the sea of quanta and the issue is that it is implied that Seele and Bronya will be together in each universe... but people confuse that with romance when being together It doesn't mean "fuck" in every damn universe (friendship between women exists dudes xD)
I still remember the drama that was made with Adam from "post honkai odyssey" because the fans believed that they would add playable men to the game and people lost their minds hahaha (as an aside, I think "post honkai odyssey" is a variant of kiana's universe and the others because I think there is a kind of ship between Mei and Bronya with Adam)
