- Top 10 Richest Black Communities In America
Today, we will take a look at communities that have higher-than-average populations of African Americans. These prestigious neighborhoods are where African Americans are succeeding in terms of income, homeownership, and academic achievement. Since this Top 10 list highlights *communities*, we have selected predominately black neighborhoods with less than 30,000 people and our researchers have factored basic indicators such as cost of living, economic equality, and livability.

This is great! I grew up in Baldwin Hills across the street from the affluent. It is crazy how a street in Los Angeles can divide two different worlds. I would run through there to remain unbothered. Everyone I saw was black with big homes and it helped me realize that I could do it too!
I'v lived in Ladera height's
As a Mexican
They all thought and confused with the damn gardener
All these rich blacks. Dissing me
I liked them area. Near everything

@@will9317 omg I’m sorry for that experience about the mistaken identity. But ladera is still nice correct. Your neighbors are still nice to you right?
Thank you for this comment
Being from the West Coast I always knew Maryland was a very progressive place for black folks but I had no idea how progressive that was! This was an awesome educational view. Also, as a LA resident seeing Ladera, Windsor and View being at the top was awesome because they are some of the only black communities in LA that hasn’t succumbed to gentrification. Thank you for the awesome content!
Maryland, no different than most southern states (Mississippi /Louisiana/ both Carolinas/Alabama/Georgia/Delaware /Virginia) [not Texas /Florida] has a black population of over 35% & nearing majority black status state wide (black Americans control half of those states individual counties rural/suburban/urban) !! The reason why you don’t have any large black counties that are majority black outside the south is because most Black people live in the south California is not even a place for Black people to economically politically thrive. I don’t even know why you went out there
Due to it close proximity to DC
They were already pretty wealthy to begin with. Gentrification wouldn't happen there since it was already well off
@@javionriley8739Well it wasn’t always like that !!!
California has the 5th highest black population in America with over 2.5 million
Do one without celebrities. Do one with people who went to school and talk about what career path they went down and y
Exactly
Do you think everyone who lives in these communities are all celebrities??. They also did mention other successful people who weren't celebrities....
Loved this!
There should be way more black communities like this across America. Half are in Maryland.
They mentioned top 10 richest black communities in America. Of course there are way more.
there is they have the super nice secure communities all over America. The rent is free also! they even get cooked meals !

Proud to call Maryland home.
I am a very proud resident of Fort Washington, MD. When I moved here, I didn't know it was on this list, but I did know that I wanted to be surrounded by other successful African Americans. Being situated on the water is an added plus. Finally, its proximity to the cultural diversity and historic climate of Washington, DC (home of my alma mater, Howard University) is just icing on the cake.
Wasa Blessing too Grow up in Kettering in the 80’s 🙏🏾 when I saw Woodmore🙌🏾😳 inspiring 🙏🏽
Interesting to see that Waldorf, Charles County Maryland a county next to Prince George County, MD didn’t make the list. On another video it was mentioned that Charles County is the second wealthiest black county in America.
Seen it mentioned, Charles County has now surpassed Prince George County, MD . And that's all good too!
beautiful , i lvoe to see this type of progress@@whereisthedollar
Charles County is the definition of black excellence in the United States. Although it’s new on the scene, it’s something to see if you’re an African American looking to buy a house.
Charles is the highest now over Prince George’s

most are not aware of places like this so it is good to see it showcased. People like to think every black person live in the hood.
Honorable mention Southfield, MI
Not sure it still is but it was when I grew up there
I just looked it up..68% is black and it’s considered one of the safest neighborhoods i
@@lynese_luxe Growing up there felt like a black oasis. My high school was predominately black and we celebrated black excellence. Good Schools, nice neighborhoods, manicured lawns etc.
Wow, 'll have to check that out, Michigan is beautiful but im not sure how comfy id feel there , glad to see spaces where black people are allowed economic advancement@@MLHarris2379
What do people do there?? Sounds like a good spot, plus it looks like Detroit is finally making a comeback
We you have money and don’t need anything from one another this is what you’ll have in every neighborhood
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
PG County, Md aka Home of Black Excellence aka Pretty Girl County aka Basketball County. Signed a PG county native 💕🫶🏽
Hi neighbor! 😊
Yeah but yall are racist in PG County also AGAINST your OWN PEOPLE...NOW THATS SOMETHING YOU SEE IN THE RICH MELANIN COMMUNITIES. WE DEAL WITH IT ENOUGH FROM WIGHT PEOPLE...WE DONT NEED IT FROM OUR OWN PEOPLE MELANIN PEOPLE.
Your next video should be about rich Black Communities in the Midwest. ☺️
let us know when one exists. And no, renting an Airbnb in a rich neighborhood doesn't qualify for a black neighborhood.
Shout the communities left out of this list because it lets everyone know that there are many more
those are prisons not towns.
Do you ever feel like you're in a dream and then your kid wakes you up to make breakfast.

Yup!! We are thriving here! So many entrepreneurs like my hubby !
I went to high school in Uniondale and its no rich place
Where’s Atlanta?

10 min introduction! lol
Hillcrest NY “USED TO BE” an affluent black neighborhood .. Not so much anymore.
The Fact is that it’s in an expeditious process of gentrification by the Hasidic Jewish community…
This video must be talking about 20 years ago??🤔
Hillcrest isn't even predominantely African American. It's predominantly Latin American these days. People from all ethnic groups have participated in gentrification.
Jewish are NOT THE JEWS. THEY'RE NOBODY BUT PEOPLE WHO STOLE YOUR HISTORY, IDENTITY AND TOOK A FORM OF YOU TRUE JEWS AKA YEWS.
Washington DC and Atlanta Georgia has the richest most educated blacks in America
OK. But Atlanta isn't 65%-80% Black with a small population like the point of this top 10.
@@Eugene-pt5lu your ok is enough... you must could not make it in Atlanta have you ever heard of prince George county Maryland DC is still chocolate city
@@Johnny-vo3zy What does making it in Atlanta have to do with the cost of tea in China? This was about super majority black communites of collective wealth A major populated city would not and meet the criteria . Besides Atlanta Metro has the 11th Largest Economy in the Country, and 22nd Largest Economy in the World, so its not like she thirsty to make small towns rich list.
Oh I lived in Glen Burnie back in 1994, so yes I've driven through Prince George County to get to DC. Yes I understand the 2 decade alternation between Prince George County MD and Dekalb County GA for the highest income County with a black majority.
I hope I cleared things up.
@@Eugene-pt5lu you are saying what I said hahahaha now go to bed
@@Johnny-vo3zy On the contrary, Atlanta was not relevant, so no we wasn't saying the same thing.
Oh I'm only 47 minutes into the Graveyard shift. I won't be going to sleep anytime soon.
This list seems biased towards the DMV area. 🤔🤨
It’s not it’s just a fact number wise.
By pass the long ass intro 2:50
It's great to see some black people who educate themselves and get out of poverty. A lot of black people stay in the same vicious circle and only have excuses instead of being more resourceful.
inresting. all of them are liberal and democratic voting states and cities. but the suburban. you never hear candance owens and officer tatum and racists maga on here.
I haven’t seen any or yall hiding
Maybe that's not your circle.

Hey, when Donald Trump bragged in 2017 that he was giving most Americans a tax cut, my taxes went up $3500.
Theres one thing thing that all black men deal with when going to prison for the first time.. They also meet their father.
LIAR..black people have lowest income sadly..
I feel like mad retired drug dealers live in these towns😂

In other words, not in Africa or in the Caribbean. 🤣🤣
What does the Caribbean and Africa have to do with this? The title literally gives the geographic context of the video.
The richest blacks in the world are from Africa.
