Nicest power rack I have seen yet on here that anyone made of wood.it looks like furniture bro.I want to do something similar.I just slammed together a quick one when this shit hit and now that it's a year later and gyms are closed a third time and they had already been closed 7 month's out of the last year I want something more permanent
I just bored my holes right in center of the 4x4’s with plans to also use rogue attachments and then watched this video and realized they’re not going to fit 😑Guess I’ll be making my own j cups lol. Thanks for sharing
Very nice power rack design. I have a couple of questions: 1. Are there j-cups that can fit the 3 1/2 inch frame comfortably without having to off-centre the holes or cutting out slots in the side to slide them in? 2. Can I use longer wood on the back part to have the power rack further from the wall so I can make the Buff Dudes DIY pulley system without the plates hitting the back wall/mirror?
Hi, glad you liked it. To answer your questions 1. Not sure re j-cups. I just bought the Rogue j. ups and worked with those. 2. Yes, definitely have longer wood at the back if you like - there is no limit on that and it won’t affect the strength of the rack. Mine was the length it was to keep the rack from taking up too much garage space. Good luck!
Thanks very much. Good point re costs. I don’t mention costs in the video. not sure of exact figure. Wood was around £300. Other brackets, screws etc probably another £100. safety bars, pull up bars, mats etc all extra
Now this is what a call a true work of art! Thank you for the videos and the blueprints!
my pleasure - are you going to build one?!
@@grahammethold i want to try
Thanks for putting taking the time to put up the plans, really helpful👍

Ah well, live and learn. Good luck with your build
amazing!
Do you think an actual 3x3 post would be too weak or did you just not find one?
Good question. I didn't look too hard for actual 3x3 posts. It would probably be OK.
You also got to have the money to buy the truck to get all that stuff home
Love your videos G.. Did you ever make a video on your pulley system?
I did actually - I just haven't got round to making a video about it!
Nice vid and thanks for the powerrack design pdf! When is part 2 gonna come?

What did you do for the pullup bar
I purchased that from Rogue
Amazing design. Not sure whether you mentioned it in either of your videos but how much did it roughly cost?

Where did you get your wood from please?
Jewsons
Hi .. Congratulations .. Great job .. But you didn't show the pulley system ... When you have some time could you show it?

I am going to build one of those!
