thanks Dave , I love your informative videos, as soon as the aftermarket cams hit the market im coming from Michigan to get cam installed and tune my bike . I cant wait by the way I have 2024 street glide 117
Dave, what are you using software wise to tune the Impact ECU, TunerStudio? Are you prohibited from using anything else, i.e TTS, DynoJet/Powervision, etc.? Just wondering what the all in cost is going to be for a customer wanting the Impact ECU ($$$), Tuner (?) and tuning cost. How far away still are we from cracking the stock 2023.5+ ECU?
The impact ecm cost 1599 plus installation and tuning. It's not a cheep system but it offers a lot of options. I hear that a flex fuel sensor kit is being developed and this will enable you to go to e85 and the system will self adjust for it. Very exciting!
Always enjoy your videos, very informative, helps a guy not spend money twice 🥃
Thank you!
The Air Cleaner test definitely surprised me!
That is very informative and interesting. Thanks Dave and Jay.
Thank you!
Good info Dave thanks for sharing this video!

Great, thank you!
Great info Dave.
This is great... and surprising. Thank you!!
Awesome findings ty
Have you done a Thundermax vs Impact shootout on 23.5 and newer bikes? If not, is that something you would do?
Dave, as always great work and info. Do you find the CVOST has excessive valve train or lifter noise?
Yes, the 121 non vvt st is a noisy engine, it sounds like an old woods cam!
@@JDsCycleWorks just wondering since my old 110 CVO you did the black ops lifters..

Tunerstudio is free, we have custom built our instance of tunerstudio, and laid it out how we want it. You dont need a license to tune your bike.

JD can you buy this for a 2020 road glide with the 114 that ECM already has a Thundermax
They are working on this ecm for earlier bikes. I don't know when it will be available though.
@@JDsCycleWorks thank you JD
@@JDsCycleWorks oh question do you think that this ECM will be a better performer than the Thundermax
Hi Dave. Got a question do you tune it with 1 to 1 throttle ratio or no. You leave it like factory set. Progressive.
I do not max out the throttle control settings in all the riding areas, it will cause some ridability issues, we learned this years ago.
Does the impact take away all riding modes
No, it keeps the riding modes active.
What about the fr “VVT’s” does it do them? And or have u done one?
Yes it does. We have a video out on the cvo 121 VVT bike with the impact ecm.
How many Dave hours re-tuning for the new impact over the Harley tune?
I would expect around 6 hours to dial it in.
8 and 5 gain over the SE tuner, but didn't you say in the last video this Impact ECU was over 3 grand?
If that's the case, then the gains to dollars aren't worth it.
Screw that, I will leave my SE tuner on...
It is 1599 retail... not sure where this 3 grand figure is coming from
What's the cost of the dyno tune session with the Impact ECM?

Great job Dave!! We need more info on the cvo st anyone coming out with a really good tune for a stage 2 yet?? Dynojet or thunder max?
