My story. When 18 met a nice girl, she was catholic. One Sunday I went to church with her and that very day the priest had a speech how to spot devil worshiper saying they have long hair, dress in black and listening to heavy metal. Can you imagine the look I received from the audience of this clown? Somehow best memory of my youth, I was the perfect match.

@@maxsyruj5872- Am a Catholic now, and there is widespread recognition within the church these days that from roughly the 60's thru the 90's the church really faltered in how they were teaching and reaching iut to the youth, and lost a good chunk of them as a result.
I think within the context of Metal music (not to mention popular music in general) the real unfortunate aspect of it is that there's nothing Satanic or demonic about the actual music of Metal, the frequencies / BPM etc., it's all the behaviour and lyrics which are truly the least important part, which every metal fan recognizes when they try and get non-metalheads to like it... "just listen to the music".
Personally, I think a lot of Christian metal bands are trash because they also think the lyrics are the most important aspect and that they have to overcompensate and praise the Lord in every verse.

I was 13 in 1978 when I bought my first Priest album "Hell Bent For Leather/Killing Machine. I had heard of the band but was the album cover made me buy it. I took it home and put it on the turntable and after listening to it I knew I would be a Metal Head for life even thou I didn't know what a Metal Head was at the time. To me they are the greatest Metal band of all time there are a few close 2nd bands but maybe because Priest was the band that turned me in the Metal direction is the reason why I think their the best.
