Saeed Anwar aur Inzamam dono Pakistani legend hain. I was too young to watch Saeed, but I had the fortune of watching Inzi bat, and Indian bowlers just totally failing to get his wicket. Ek baar tik gye toh out hi na hona. Same with Mohd. Yousuf. Yaar seriously missing Indian team touring Pakistan and vice versa. My father first introduced me to cricket way back in '02, but I only properly started from '04. Sadly, my father is no more, but I have those sweet memories of watching cricket with him all those years. He was always full of praise of Inzi. - from Delhi.

MUST READ: Saeed Anwar was a elegant and classy batsmen. For such a small and slender frame he was strong and his timing was impeccable.
His timing was such that sometimes he would defend the ball and it would go for a boundary. A simple flick of his legs would go for a six. It was
a work of art. He was also very consistant in making 50's and 100's. He made so many runs in a 12 year career. After the death of his daughter
and falling ill himself he slowly withered away around the age of 30. Saeed Anwar at his peak was the greatest batsmen I have ever seen. He
faced legendary bowlers like Mcgrath, Warne, Ambrose, Gough, Murli, Donald, Pollock, Srinath, Kumble to name a few. His fantastic 194 against
India in India infront of a hostile crowd was one of the greatest knocks witnessed by many in a ODI match. The 194 stayed a record score for 13
years until it was broken. Saeed Anwar scored a total of 20 ODI hundreds in 12 years. If he had a 24 year career like the legend Sachin Tendulkar,
who knows... Saeed Anwar would have also had around 50 or more ODI hundreds! Since his retirement Pakistan have yet to produce another
opening batsmen like him. Peace my people!!

Chennai was the most lovable crowd any player could have to appreciate the spirit of true sportsmanship, In his post match interview Saeed Anwar gave a special acknowledgment for the Chennai crowd. They will all be legends who gave new to the game when cricket was growing in their respective countries. Grew up watching the great S. Anwar...even though I was a right handed batsman I copied every shots he had ever played....specially his signature flick and square drive. personally i feel saeed anwar, brian lara are more talented players than sachin. Dont compare talent with statistics. Statistics is one of the parameter to assess whether he is great batsman. For example, rohit sharma is more talented than virat kohli but statistics says different. I still remember the day when anwar scored 194 against india, in which he hit 4 consecutive sixes in our legendary bowler kumble. Sachin made 200 after so many years.
Yes indeed, but nowadays people like fast cricket like T20 which is i think it is totally disgrace, after all the real beauty of this game is test cricket like 1999 indo pak test series. I still remembered the which u are talking about when Saeed made194 and Rahul dravid made a wonderful century too but india was bit short to lose that game.
