Well maybe if you re-entered the world instead of residing indefinitely in Hearns bowells you’d see a conversation and a difference of opinion without anyone owning anyone.
It’s because Eddie is the antithesis of everything he stands for - not using privellege and other peoples work to build wealth and status whilst actively abiding by rules of society. Simon probably is jealous of the moment that Hearn is in, not just for the value of hearns business, but also off the back other when he picked it up when match room was already worth £150 mil. If you take this, combined with the fact he has actively lied to and manipulated the truth with Conor Benn - who STILL hasn’t proved his innocence - he comes across a talented, spoiled and selfish individual that sets one standard for everyone else and another for himself so that he can have success. Hearn, although very very good at his job, his a total slimeball.

The myth that Joshua quit was started by Tyson fury and people ran with it. Joshua was soundly beaten by Ruiz in the first fight, which is embarrassing enough, but he didn’t quit he tried to stall and buy time and the ref saw through it and stopped the fight. His reaction when it was stopped was one of disbelief as the golden boy of boxing he thought he’d be allowed to take the break. There was a stage in boxing where everything fury said became gospel when he’s actually one of boxings biggest liars.
@@teradac2 he’d already spat out the mouthpiece deliberately on one occasion the ref could see he was trying to buy time he literally said ‘what do you mean?’ When the ref waved it off he got away with taking breaks against takam and thought he could here and it backfired
Yes I agree. I think there’s a difference between taking an action that in and of itself is quitting - as in, taking a knee and not getting up etc. Rather than actions that people like to interpret as quitting and state it as fact. “He spat his gumshield out - clearly that means he wanted to quit!” yeah or perhaps he was just trying to buy time pal. If you are having to speculate or interpret it then you can’t state it with any degree of certainty. All we can say for certain is that the ref asked him if he wanted to continue on four occasions and Joshua said yes every time.

A very enjoyable interview. The speech quality of each participant definitely added to the charm, for me. Simon, my fav guy! Eddie, always a charmer salesman. Hat's off to you all.
This comment is directly aimed at you Simon. It's apples & oranges. Dubois literally kept taking a knee against Kevin Larena he eventually got his composure & stopped Larena. Against Joyce he took a knee & against Usyk , Dubois took a knee . That's 3 occasions. With AJ he was buying time to get air. He got up to his feet "4 times" despite the 3rd round Ruiz punch gave AJ a concussion. AJ got up on 4th knock down & nodded yes he could continue.
I agree with Simon…the promoters will not be needed..they’re only there due to the promotional rights they have with the fighters. Saudi could shut down promotional outlets overnight once they have the experience. Eddie will be on the Saudi payroll soon.
Oh god not again. Eddie wiped the floor with Jordan twice before, he's not in his league with the patter. Using a few large words here and there doesn't cut it.
It fascinates me that Jordan thinks he go into these 'discussions' with Hearn on a level playing field. Jordan is a fan. Despite my thoughts of Jordan being a blow hard, I think he genuinely likes boxing. However, because Jordan has run a mobile phone company and a football club, he thinks he knows everything about every other business. He doesn't. And it always shows in these conversations. And when he is shown up in these conversations he then tries to make trvial points about what the word 'ecosystem' means. Nobody cares about who used the word ecosystem first on Talksport. Just one thing to pull up Hearn about. The idea that small-hall shows are seeing increases in attendances because of the interest at the top of the sport is ludicrous. Even Matchroom's 'big' domestic shows this year have failed to sell out. And it's really noticeable. I think it's going to get harder and harder for Hearn, Warren and Shalom to promote domestic shows at the O2, Copperbox, MEN, Echo Arena, Sheffield and sell nearly all of the tickets. Perhaps more eyes are drawn to the sport. But punters are not going to turn up at UK city events to watch 8 fights on a card where you are 95% certain who is going to win 7 of those fights. Boxing is not booming. Boxing is in trouble.
Love watching interviews with Eddie, for all he's a businessman he has a true passion for the sport and speaks like one of us with passion. I haven't been to an event since '97 at London Docklands Arena and o how the sport has changed.
People talking about Simon being bitter, and for sure, I think hes been bitter towards Eddie in almost every interview...but in this one I think its actually legitimate. Eddie Hearn's claim that him and Frank will be needed from the Saudi's is just pure delusional or denial. As Simon rightfully said, and its just the unfortunate way the world works, is that if you have the money, you will almost certainly have the resources to do exactly what Eddie and Frank are doing and theres no real reason for Turki to actually keep these guys with him, besides the fact that he has a good relationship with them (which he clearly does). However, if he wanted to, he could simply take Eddie and Franks whole stable of fighters from them in a heartbeat...you think fighters have this undying loyalty to their promoters? No hes not eddie is an immoral snake oil salesman. When he talks hes like a guy in a job interview, spin spin spin. Every answer is designed to put the correct slant on things and mislead people
My wife is sitting next to me watching this on the TV, doesn’t know them and just asked “Do the two on the left not like the Eddie Hearn guy”? 😅 even the untrained eye can see the agendas.
Frank told you all. 'Simon' It's gonna be a game changer and thus far it has been!
Simon admires Ed really.
simon looks like he wants to be in eddie hearn place.. lol.. Simon Seemed so un happy when eddie waa talking about his new netflix show.. Just watch his whole face... Real hater...
Simon Jordan needs to grow up. The best example of a sour faced hater.
I remember last time when Eddie "owned" Simon on the Conor Benn situation and then Conor's career went on from strength to strength.....oh wait 😂😂

I think you’ll remember Eddie telling Simon, “it’s a marathon not a sprint” (Conor’s career) 😊 plenty of innocent people get convicted. True fact, but tbf you only like to take snippets of detail and twist it into something that suits your narrative. 😩
@@rossj2410I'm sure if he was innocent he'd prove it and be boxing again in England. Don't you
@@Matt-OB78 please don't try to use things like logic with these fanboys. It's their kryptonite 😂
This whole debate feels like a boxing match itself! 😂 But seriously, it's kinda nice to see them finding common ground, even if it's rare. Eddie's got that charm that always shines through, while Simon just can't help but stir the pot, right? 🚀 Can't wait for the fight, it's gonna be wild!
Fail to understand how Simon has a platform, really, who cares what he thinks?
Either pompous idiots like him or morons who think he knows everything about anything when he's much closer to knowing nothing
