Hello sir I am a chemical engineering student, and i would like to ask where did you get the ln K expression from and the correlation coefficient data.

    Dear Sir,
Please explain phase composition at bubble point and dew point.
We started with liquid mix of known composition
Then we calculated bubble point and vapor phase composition
Now we are calculating dew point of mixed vapor. So yi is known
When we divide this by ki we will get Xi which is component conc in liq phase
But this is going to be different than the initial composition.
Is this understanding correct Sir ?
    Thanks and regards

I don't understand question. Bubble point and dew point calculations are required to be done in the design of distillation column when it is desired to separate a feed of given state and composition. In most situations the design objective is to produce near pure products at the top and bottom. The lighter component is separated as distillate and the heavier component as bottom. When these two compositions are specified, the bubble point and dew point can be calculated as explained in the video

      Dear Sir,
Thanks for your reply. I understand now that the specifications for distillate ( I e desired purity of lighter component) i
s led down first. And composition of vapor phase is assumed to be same as distillate. I was trying to relate vapor composition calculated at bubble point to the vapor composition at dew point.
I hope I could explain my misunderstanding.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
      Yours sincerely,
