Brent Ive seen a lot of renditions of this piece, and I have personally been working my own for a while. Trying to perfect the nuances and come up with my own ideal interpretation. Yours is by far the best Ive seen and I constantly draw a lot of inspiration from it, thanks man. Please upload more videos. your technique is beautiful.
I've listened to quite a few versions of this piece now, but I always come back to Brent's interpretation of Assad's work. When I'm having a rotten day, I listen to the second movement and without fail, by the end I'm calm and happy. Thank you Brent!
Your fingering of the main theme with C7 rather than C9 as written is genius, as it means that you can play the middle voice D without using your 4th finger, which is hard to use without muting the melody. I think I'll adopt this!
Absolutely superb Brent! Working on this piece myself and you just do it so beautifully. I noticed your left hand is a bit different than what the score (the one I have anyway) would suggest...
@@brentcrawford2574 is your guitar an spruce or cedar top ? I am looking into both, of course sometimes cedar seems a little more softer or some of the brilliance is missing, although I understand this can be adjusted somewhat with technique and different strings ? Your thoughts ?
Because I am looking to upgrade in guitars, and have found that the world of expensive classical guitars can be wrought with pitfalls, as you must know.

Why has this guy only got 12K views!? The world should hear this!
This clip is underrated!!
But seriously, why doesn't this have more views? You play in a way where every note really means something. I keep pressing replay. Bravo.
Love this. I've seen some recordings of valseana where it's played disconnected from the emotions it contains, but you really captured it. Amazing job
Soon I will be paying $300 to watch you at Carnegie hall in NY. Again and again, what a STELLAR performance, doc!

Wonderful performance of this hauntingly beautiful piece, Brent! I hope that I am able to play it half as well someday.
Wonderful playing and such beautiful technique!
I would like to know why a sound of a guitar enraptures me and transfers into an another dimension (a wonderful dimension) like in this case.
