I'm 13. Made this today for my father as it's father's Day. It was my first time baking. And everyone said it was super amazing. And my dad also said he would've eaten a lot more if he didn't have diabetes. I was glad to listen to these comments. All thanks to you Tasty.
Edit: For the people asking why I made sweets for my dad who has diabetes, just letting you all know that people with diabetes can have moderate amount of sweets as long as their sugar level is balanced. Plus, my dad has type 2 diabetes not type 1 so he's on the safer side.😊

A few things to remember while making these brownies:
    1. Cool your butter after melting or it’ll cook the eggs that you have put.
    2. Cool your melted chocolate as well
    3. Make the egg, butter and sugar batter light yellow in colour.
    4. As I used salted butter, I didn’t put anymore salt.
    5. This recipe is accurate for the chef in the video as per his oven. But for some ovens, cooking time might exceed by 5-8 minutes.(I’m talking by keeping in mind the same temperature)
Be patient with the brownies and enjoy 😉

I agree with some of the comments I've made these brownies countless times because this is hands down one of the best recipes I have a few pointers that you should know before making them,
    1. Pls melt the butter completely or else your batter will get too thick.
2.Use less sugar than what the recipe says because trust me it will be too sweet, I use about 3/4 cups.
    3. Use bakers chocolate.
    4. use a mixture of white chocolate and dark chocolate, the mix makes these 1000% better.
    5. If the batters too thick or you've over mixed then just add small amounts of milk until its the same consistency as in the video.
    6. Find a pan that is the right size.
    7. Everyone's oven is different so keep an eye on them as sometimes they can overcook or undercook

me and my friend made this today by yourselves and they turned out great :) we're only 12 so if you want to try it but think it's too hard, just go for it! here are some tips/hacks that you may need while doing this:
    - use baking chocolate. if you use normal everyday chocolate, like cadbury chocolate, the melted chocolate would not melt properly and it would harden again really quickly (even at room temperature)
    - if you happen to not have white sugar, ou can substitute with brown sugar! it tastes just as good :)
    - do not put too much salt. make sure to flatten out the top of the measuring spoon before pouring the salt into the batter
    - let the melted chocolate cool down for awhile before adding into the mixture! if not, the eggs may cook!
    - do not over mix! if you do, the batter will come out really thick and it would have a cake-like consistentcy after baking, if you happen to accidentally over mix, don't worry! just add milk until it has about the same consistentcy as the batter in the video :)
hope these tips/hacks helped you! good luck with your brownies

about the toothpick. the tip works with cakes but not exactly with brownies so you check to see if there are cracks on the top for a fudgy brownie. if you do the toothpick tip then you’ll end up with a cakey brownie if thats your preference.

i’ve made these brownies many times and now they’re my go to recipe! i would definitely suggest them. a few things i did wrong the first time:
-not waiting for the chocolate to cool before mixing it in, the eggs could have cooked
-folding the batter too much after adding flour, forgot where i heard it makes the consistency of the batter not right and i think they come out more cakey or something?
-i also bake it for longer than them but my oven is probably different from theirs
-and a little sea salt to garnish never hurts!
to whoever plans to make this, have fun and good luck! :)

    Finalllllyyyy!!!
I have been trying brownie recipes for a while now and have always been disappointed with the results until today.
Got the perfect fudge (baked a little extra so that it isn't too gooey) and the winner - the perfect crusty top 😍
    Things I did:
    •Used semi sweet chocolate chips.
•Reduced the salt ! 1 tsp is wayyy too much. I added 1/4 tsp and even that brought in the needed saltiness.
•Added a tbsp of flavourless oil (I had seen it in some other recipe that it gives extra moistness to the brownie)
    • for someone who doesn't like too much sweetness , reduce the sugar a little.
    • I used 1/4 cup brown sugar and 3/4 cup regular white sugar. (Again , brown sugar adds to the flavour of the brownie)
    Enjoy y'all !

  • @honganhvole9586

I just made these brownie today and they are really amazing!
I used the measurement in grams interpreted by Lisa J in the comment, which is:
    230 grams chocolate
    170 grams butter
    160 grams sugar
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    96 grams flour
    32 grams cocoa-powder
    1 teaspoon salt
However, I modified the recipe a little bit to suit my taste. Because in Vietnam we don't eat food that are too sweet, I reduced the amount of sugar to only 70 grams. That really works because last time I followed the ice cream recipe of Tasty and ended up with a batch of super sweet cream that I could hardly eat. So, please consider carefully before you start making these brownies.
I used 65% chocolate for these brownies. If you use other types, remember to modify the amount of sugar based on the percentage of your chocolate. My brownies are not really sweet, full of chocolate flavor and really tasty!
My family is not very fond of fat so I used 150 grams of butter instead of 170 grams. Next time I will try reducing more.
About baking time, I baked them in 25 minutes in total. Different ovens work differently, hence you should watch out the time. You can use a toothpick to test whether the cake is fully cooked or still raw.
The chocolate chunks I used are the same 65% chocolate but I wish I had added more to make the cake more fudgy. Next time I will try adding some extra chocolate chips.
Don't fold the batter too long or it will become as hard as a bread dough. If so, slowly add some milk and mix them until you get the same consistency as in the video. Mine was still a little bit dry when I baked but the brownies came out so good.
So these are some tips for you! Try it because this is super delicious! I'm waiting for my parents to come home and try these amazing brownies with me!

  • @amybelleordona

I am making these right now! Will be updating!
    Update:
I made this using Ghirardelli 70% Cacao baking bar for the ganache that would be poured into the batter, and then I used Baker’s semisweet 56% baking bar for the chunks of chocolate that were to be folded into the brownie batter. I also used Hershey’s Special Dark cocoa powder instead of regular cocoa powder because I’m not a big fan of brownies being too sweet.
I followed Tasty’s recipe exactly and I still found the brownies too sweet to eat. The brownies were very decadent because of the dark chocolate that I used, but I wish I used less sugar.
I used a 9x9x2 inch pan and I had to bake the brownies for 35 minutes instead of 25 because the brownies were a bit undercooked when I initially pulled them out. This gave the brownies a nice crispy top layer and a nice fudgy inside. (I am a fan of fudgy brownies rather than cakey ones)
    Tips:
When melting the butter, chop it into slices to allow it to melt faster. I used my microwave and I melted it for a minute using 10 second intervals and about 5 seconds in between each interval. I didn’t melt it all the way. I melted it until only a few chunks of butter were left and just stirred it until it disappeared. Then let it cool while you chop your chocolate.
When whisking your butter and sugar together, you don’t need an electric mixer. You’re going to have to whisk the crap out of it though until the texture looks similar to Tasty’s. (This took me about 5 minutes.)
If you’re super into sweets, use as much sugar that is stated in the video. But since I got a headache from eating two bites of my brownie, I suggest probably using only 3/4 or 1/2 a cup of sugar when making these things.
Lightly fold in the chocolate chunks. Mine were near the bottom when I cut into them. They didn’t sink all the way to the bottom but it’d be nice if they were on top of the brownies.
If you’ve ever tried Pizza Hut’s Hershey’s Brownies, these taste practically identical to that. (If you made your’s like how I made mine)
Good luck everyone! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! :)
    2nd update:
They taste better after I refrigerated them overnight, but they’re still too sweet. I made a second batch today with a few modifications and I’ll see how they turned out once they’ve cooled down.
    3rd update:
This time, I used Baker’s chocolate and I used the unsweetened one (100% cacao). Because of this, I ended up using the 1 and 1/4 cup of sugar. The brownies were just right for me! Not too sweet and were decadent! For the chocolate chunks, I used German sweet chocolate (48% cacao) and they weren’t overpowering! Still used the special dark cocoa powder and it was fine. The only thing that did end up changing though was the baking time, I left my brownies in for 30 minutes and they were too dry. So, I’d probably change the baking time to 25 minutes, maybe even less. Overall, I’m happy with how they turned out!

samreena khan normal. Because you already add in cocoa powder I wouldn't personally use dark chocolate as it becomes a dark chocolate brownie rather than your original normal tasty brownie. Unless you want an extra dark brownie.
I mean you could always get rid of the cocoa powder though and use all dark chocolate instead.

I finally made them, and they we're great! A couple of things:
I used a 4 oz. German Chocolate Baker Bar to melt and mix into the batter.
I used a different chocolate - 4 oz. (a little more than a 1/2 a cup) of Milk Chocolate morsels - to just mix into the batter. I wanted a sweeter brownie.
I was able to achieve the fluffy mixture of butter and sugar. It required a good amount of hand-mixing though.
25 minutes was not enough time to bake the brownies I made. I ended up leaving them in the oven for about 20 - 25 more minutes in total after taking them out in 5 to 10 minute intervals. They were just too raw for me to eat.
Other than that, it's a great recipe that's pretty easy to implement.

I made those today and they were SCRUMPTIOUS, honestly the best brownies I’ve ever made!!! They were fudgy, chewy and crispy on top 🤤🤤. Only thing I would have changed is the chocolate, I used Hershey’s semi sweet chocolate chips but I didn’t really like the flavor pf it (it was the only option available). I also reduced the sugar to 1 cup and added half cup brown sugar and the other half regular sugar, it wasn’t too sweet, just perfect!! Definitely recommend this recipe

About a week ago I made these brownies and so many things went wrong but they still tasted amazing and me and my mom inhaled it in 1 day
    1. I didn't achieve that smooth consistency of the butter and sugar so the sugar sank in the bottom and caramelized
    2. The chocolate pieces sank too and formed a layer that stuck
    3. It was waaaaaaaay too sweet
    4. 20 min was definitely not enough
So today I remade them and made some modifications
I used this recipe with "the art of brownies " meaning (butter with chocolate) and I heated half a cup of milk to melt the sugar then added the eggs... Left it in the oven for 50 min
It came out PERFECT 👌 👌

This was delicious! However, when I used the recommended amount of butter, the bottom of the brownies had excess butter stuck to it when they cooled. It looked white, and the texture got wet (it was hot outside when my friends ate them). So, I would recommend reducing the amount of butter (and sugar bc they were a little too sweet) by two to four tablespoons.

I made these today and they turned out amazing. the only thing is it definitely does NOT look like the ones in this video but tastes really good either way 😂
tip: don't add that much sugar. I only added half a cup and it was already really sweet. because once you add the chocolate in it makes it even sweeter. but then you gotta be careful with the cocoa powder ratio. but its fun! keep trying guys. I'm not the best baker but made some pretty delicious brownies :P

No way. When I added the cocoa powder, it made the batter extremely bitter because it was unsweetened. If anything, add more sugar if this happens. It makes them taste so much better!

I made this and here are a few things:
    - Add 1/2 tbsp baking powder, because mine didn't rise without it
    - Add 1/4 cup oil, or water, so it's not too dense.
    - I used brown sugar and it turned out fine.
I loved this and it was an amazing brownie! Highly recommend y'all try it.

Hi, brownies are unlike cakes. Typically, they are not expected to rise at all. Cakes, on the other hand are meant to rise a lot which constitutes for their airy texture. I understand, though; that you have a personal preference of brownies. I would suggest you to watch Laura Vitale’s recipe for a cakey brownie. They might fit into your expectations. :)

Have listed down the recipie :-
Chop a whole bar of chocolate (8oz- 1 cup) 100% cocoa
( Since there is a lot of sugar, you wanna make sure there is more cocoa in tge chocolate to balance out the sweetness)
(Melt 4 oz or 1/2 cup and save the rest for chunks to add in later)
3/4 cup melted butter (250 ml)
    1 and 1/4 cup sugar
Whisk until it becomes a smooth paste
A mixture of 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of vinegar (30 ml) ( I used this mixture in place of two eggs cos I am a pure vegetarian)
2 teaspoons of vanilla essence ( 10 ml)
    Whisk until smooth
Add the melted chocolate (4oz or 1/2 cup)
3/4 cup All Purpose Flour ( Sieve )
    1/4 cup Cocoa powder ( Sieve )
    1 teaspoon salt ( Sieve )
    Mix till batter is smooth
Add the rest of the chocolate chunks ( 4oz or 1/2 cup)
    Mix
Add to 7×7 inches/ 20×20 cm square baking pan
(Make sure it is greased with either cooking spray/butter/oil/parchment paper)
Bake in 180 C oven for 20-25 mins
If you are using convection microwave, set the temperature of 180 C for 15 mins first then gradually increase time by 5 mins and see texture till it reaches 20/25 mins ( Since convection cooks faster, yoy wanna make sure that you have not underbaked or overbaked.)
    Thanks....

This really is the best brownie recipe ever. I make sure to have my batter really really thick through each step. That’s how I get the perfect brownie. I mix a LOT and a LOT, very vigorously!! I know that as long as my batters really thick, it’ll turn out great!

These are just divine. I was worried when I took them out of the oven because I waited a few minutes and when I bit into one, it was pretty cakey. But an hour later they were completely fudgy. Here are some things I did:
    - I used chocolate chips instead of chopped bars, so for whatever reason when I melted them the consistency was pretty thick. I added some milk to thin it out so it was like the consistency in the video.
    - I thought the amount of sugar Tasty listed was wayyyy too much so I used about 3/4 of a cup. I made sure to whip the butter and the sugar to the creamy texture that was shown in the video, for this I had to use an electric mixer.
    - I used Hershey’s dark chocolate cocoa to further suppress the sweetness, so I recommend that for people who like that dark chocolate taste.
    - When I poured my batter into the pan it was a lot lumpier than in the video. The brownies still turned out amazing but I didn’t get that crinkly top. It might have been over mixing, so maybe add the chocolate before completely folding in the flour to get a smoother consistency.
