I found your channel when Covid pandemic just started. Since then, I watch your videos almost every day. Your creativity on this channel also played role in my understanding and accepting of myself as a member of LGBTQ+ community.
And right now, when my home, Ukraine, is going through terrible times of russian invasion, you are still here, helping me to forget about everything and be calm at least for duration of one video. Your creativity and your friendly voice can change the day.

Totslly feel that. During the first lockdown i almost died from a drug overdose. And adens Videos were one of the first things that gave me real comfort while readjusting. Watched practically Everything he ever did on youtube. It really helled me

Just started it up and already in love with the build
lobing this build. Love the rant about the items in this new world. 90% of the debug items are from Cats and Dog, Get Together and Cottage Living. Have they ever reused so many items from other packs before? It's also frustrating that none of the actual new plants are in build mode at all! Just debug, So none of the game Changers could use them in their builds, and even worse they only have single swatches! Which makes those lovely greek pines look SOOO copy and paste!
Speaking of Historic Italy, you should totally do a build inspired by the Show “Medici” on Netflix, based on the real De Medici family who ruled Renaissance Florence. the settings and architecture is absolutely stunning, with palaces and churches and cathedrals and the most beautiful halls and staircases, as well as the furnishings (and costumes)
It’s definitely worth a watch regardless of whether you choose to build it or not ❤️

I completely agree about the world, it's pretty but at the same type seems kind of empty and and not different enough from Oasis Springs, I guess almost too generic.
I think that we also don't have lots in the town center, it would allow for more varied builds within the pack (including townhouses) 😓
I'm just building oasis springs in this style instead of buying the pack
It is nothing like Oasis Srping, though I agree it's a bit dissapointing. At least it's better to build Spanish and general Mediterranean houses here rather than the dessert which doesn't really make any sense.
ngl, the main selling point of this pack for me isn't the world, nor CAS, it's the few gothic windows and arches, I NEED those

Marvelous build!! I also wanted to let you know that the chairs for the chess table are in the dining chairs section. That is in case you want to know. You don't have to change a thing.

EA has continued to sell defective items/packs, again and again, if we bought a fridge that doesn't work, we'd send it back, or get a refund.
Why do they think it's ok to keep releasing packs that are constantly broken, buggy and made with recycled content?

Oh this is the vibe this build ✨✨✨✨ . I was excited about this new world too, it feels “recycled” especially after the detail and vibe that cottage living brought you can tell a lot of blood sweat and tears went into CL - this world feels pushed by an overhead corporate deadline that is interested more in profits than creativity and it kind of shows…. If the lots weren’t created by sims creators like Harrie etc, think I’d tap out of this pack altogether because it’s really giving me “EA is trying to gaslight us” vibes lol. The lack of build buy items is astonishing really. Dats just me 2 cents luvs.

I'm Eastern European and while not Ukrainian, I really appreciate you talking about it. So many people outside of Eastern Europe brush this off, I haven't seen much of other influencers talking about it and it's kinda sad. I do understand that without experiencing the whole regime yourself it's hard to understand how dangerous it is, but I wish to hear more influencers (simmers included) talking about this war and using their platforms for awareness. Yours is one of the few builds in this world that looks close to authentic Italian, so thanks for building this! Also yes, lavender grows here. I was so pissed off at this world. They called it "mediterranean inspired" which doesn't do justice to any of the cultures they drew from, used all Italian names (so it's really an Italian based world with a splash of other cultures because maybe they think we are the same? Bit offensive), and then didn't put anything of any of the cultures involved, like not even a couple more flavours of pizza if they really wanted to be steretypical and sad, did not put enough assets for the builders to make genuinely mediterranean looking builds (I know they worked hard and did their best, no shade on them, they weren't really given enough to do better than what they did). There is not even an Italian/Mediterranean restaurant here? Not even new gestures or interactions? Our country and culture already gets steretypised and treated as a destination place a lot, and this was our one shot at a bit of representation and what we got was... the steretypical, destination wedding-like representation we always get. I am not even angry at the devs, they did what they could, I guess. I don't know who is responsible for conceptualising this and diminishing our cultures as pretty window dressing for weddings, but... It was just disappointing, really.
Agree with all of this. I was specially appalled at the lack of Mediterranean food. Not even an Italian food stall, or even a mishmash Mediterranean food stall with stereotypical dishes like pizza, paella or gyros. Even that would be more than we got.
Devon did a great job, it really looks like an old traditional country house that got renovated.

Devon did an amazing build, to be honest. It really looks like an Italian country house. I love all the Northern African elements as well, because yes, there is a lot of influence of that especially in the southern regions and I feel that whoever thinks about "the Mediterranean" often forgets about the fact that half of it is in North Africa and not in Europe.
And while it's true that there is a melting pot of cultures, it is also true that each of them is distinct and this world looks Italian but feels also very very very generic and non-specific because they tried to mix up pretty much a little bit of everything, unlike they did in other packs, which ended up feeling more authentic. I was really sad also because they did better with other cultures, from what we've seen so far, and I feel that here instead they completely dropped the ball.
@@AuroraPatera yes, I was very disappointed about the genericness of everything. The town for me was the worst offender, the building shells were so bleh, not mentioning there are no lots there, you can't even visit the lighthouse like in Cats and dogs. The options of having a Tartosa museum, or an old fisherman house by the port!
@@limecilla7612 Right? They recycled all those assets from Cats and Dogs and didn't do anything remotely interesting with them. And if they really wanted to push the whole tourism angle and the mediterranean as a destination, I could see it become an amazing expansion pack with hotels and a little bit more assets and culture. Make it a wedding & honeymoon expansion. What we got was a pack that is quite shallow (I mean even Selvadorada got more in terms of "culture" even if it's made up, which is a valid approach, they could have done the same here) and doesn't even work! By the way, I love your idea of a lighthouse or a museum, or a fisherman's house. It could have added a bit of depth and authenticity. And maybe some more local families? Most of the NPCs we have are non locals that moved in from abroad, which is fine, if it's balanced out? I guess?
The name of the world, however, seems to be some kind of misspelled Spanish town. Tortosa, in Catalonia, very close to the coast, though it actually doesn't have a coast line, but a river.

The Mediterranean world should have been in an expansion pack. I was really wanting a greek world but I doubt we will get one now and this one is disappointing.
A lot of recent itens with plants are rebiulds or adaptations of old plants in debug even. Even the new pack pergolas and the new flower fence have the same flowers of those wall flowers. That's really boring specially for a pack so expensive
So...no church then....cool. lol
It’s sad because the Mediterranean coastal towns in the basegame art have so much colour and life to them and then this world was just bland… Imagine if it gave the same energy as the town from Pixar’s ‘Luca’ with the rolling hills and colourful buildings and coastal cliffs but instead it’s another flat world with flat lots and the main town area is full of ugly bland shells :/
