Used to be an Android snob when I was younger. Rooting, installing ROMs, bootloaders etc, but after bricking my Android and my grandpa gifting me an iPhone, I haven’t looked back. Not to say I dislike Android or love Apple ( I don’t), sometimes it’s nice that to have the assurance that my phone can do things well enough.
ProRaw is where it's at. Even on my 13 Pro Max, anytime I care about the photo I take, I turn it on. I left it on for my last ~16 day trip to Germany the entire time, and the the latitude in the files is amazing. I only really find myself discarding photos because of poor composition (ie. my fault), rather than because something is blurry, too noisy, or exceeds the dynamic range the camera is capable of. I had my a7iii along as well, and didn't even touch it.
I’m using iPhone 14 Pro (yah not the max since my hands are small as heck. Do wish they bring out a Pro mini in the future) and I’m having a great time with it. The reason why I stuck with Apple is because I don’t care about having the best features or the most modern standard looks and functions of a phone. What I want is easy use, reliability and conveniency use in my phone even if it’s not the actual best in its field.
Do you also have a problem with the battery health dropping faster than normal? Or maybe i have a defective one? 😭🤣 i have it pre ordered and after 7 months it’s at 90% batt health 😢 tho I’m a heavy gamer but i use phone cooler so it won’t over heat but still my xs max hold up to 88% gaming for 3yrs.
@@bianxx nope still have 100% Battery health and I have had this phone since December last year so roughly 5 months. I play Pokemon Go pretty much every day and watch nearly everything on my phone these days everyday too. I also most of the time watch anime on the high seas so yah I go to sketchy websites everyday so I do a lot of stuff that supposed to affect my battery health and so far nothing. The only difference I have been doing is that I have been charging less since my phone lasts like a good half day after we heavy use before I charge it (granted I don’t run it down too zero so when it hits a certain point I feel like I need too charge it I will) and then once I charge it at least once it has lasted the whole day which again heavy use, plus since getting this phone I have been mostly charging using MagSafe (like since I got it I only used the cable once and that was for a very hard grind day in Pokemon Go) since my last phone was iPhone X which I of course didn’t have access to MagSafe. But because my last phone was iPhone X (which I only had a Year & a Half since the battery got pretty bad and I accidentally dropped while in heavy rain that was windy outside for quite a long while and I only noticed I dropped it when I got home but luckily for me I live in village in the UK so knowing possible where I dropped it was easy to find but because of that unfortunately made the centre part of the screen no longer able too sense touch so I was forced to get a new phone. The phone I had prior to the iPhone X was the iPhone 7 which I had the longest as I had it in the year it was released and the reason why I upgraded from that was because the phone battery got bloated and wasn’t keeping charge any more and the screen was coming off so yah definitely needed to upgrade from that one) so don’t know if that could be the reason why I haven’t had any battery issues as of yet. Now because I mentioned I had both the iPhone X & 7 before I got the iPhone 14 Pro I of course never used the phones from 11 to 13 (13 Pro series being the time people have said was the best battery on the iPhone) so I can’t say anything properly on that front but for my overall personal use I haven’t experienced any problems.
Literally tried this last week and returned it, went back to my 13 Pro - the 14 Pro Max was great but not enough differences to make it an upgrade + way too unwieldy for me!
I got the 14 Pro Max day one after trading in my 11 Pro Max and the phone has been great so far. However I’ll be trading in my 14 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max for usbc and the new telephoto since I go to concerts quite often. The zoom is something that would be really nice.
Loved my 13 Pro so much that I decided to double down and get the Silver 14 Pro Max with 256GB. Did I need to upgrade? Absolutely not. But I’m glad I did. Hell the battery gains were worth it alone. You get used to the size of the phone after a while too. iOS is great when I need to get work done, Android I use for weekends and for fun.
How heavy is the 14 Pro Max in comparison to the 13 Pro? I've seen many concerns over the heavy weight and am debating if it's worth switching... I also have the 13 Pro right now
@@kinchix It’s a noticeable difference in weight with the 13 Pro being 204 grams and the 14 Pro Max being around 240 grams. You’ll notice the weight as soon as you pick it up. It took me a few days to get used to the size of it tbh, but it’s now a very comfortable phone to use.
iPhone 12 Pro Max user here. I had zero interest in the iPhone 14 Pro Max after its announcement. The Dynamic Island didn't interest me and the better cameras, while nice, weren't enough to compel me to upgrade. Now the iPhone 15 Pro Max? I'll be getting that.
calling a product boring or overrated is not an insult. it works for some, it does not for others. it is all preference. but i do agree that the iphone is overhyped lol. for example, the dynamic island.
The 13 pro was my first iPhone and probably my last. Dont get me wrong its not a bad phone however, the battery life over a year of use is quite disappointing, often having me charge the phone twice a day (I only get about 4-5h screen on daily). Then theres the overall lack of features and a display that belongs on a phone thats half its price. Those bezels are quite thick and that notch belongs in 2017. Definitely gonna upgrade to the s23 ultra. Its got a bigger display, costs less than the 14 pro+pro max and offers similar battery life. Personally from seeing both phones in the real world and using them, the s23 ultra's display definitely destroys the 14 pros one in quality, not to mention the fact that the camera is quite similar in quality and i get double the storage.
My 14 pro max is the very first iPhone I’ve ever had. I got it about 5 months ago and am loving it asking with the Watch ultra I was Samsung from the very first galaxy until I got this iPhone I have NO intentions on going back to android!!

@@BoiledPotatoes2312 yeah I guess he's not a "normal" tech RUclipsr, but he's a lot more thorough and reliable (and truthful) than the vast majority of other tech RUclipsrs available. I wouldn't say Denki is necessarily bad, but TechSpurt will definitely give you more in that regard
I find it's a soild and reliable phone, battery life was excellent when i first got it, then with software updates, it's been running hotter, charging slower and draining battery quicker
With regards to the iphone battery, the phone's rated mAh rating is the minimum size it can be. So the 4323 mAh battery can be, surprisingly, larger. My 14 PM is rated at 4559 mAh and has more capacity than my wife's 13PM which is rated at 4542 even through the minimum battery size on the 13 PM is larger than the 14 PM.
I’m noticing for tasks that I would avoid before on my android phones, that I’m more willing/able to do with the iPhone 14 pro max. I’m not sure what it is….. But I find it easier to navigate, so I’m more likely to actually grind through if I need. I’m less avoidant.
I've just gone back to apple after 6years away and I'm just frustrated by how convoluted and counter intuitive everything is on ios now. Want to change the volume of an alarm? OK then, leave the clock app, go to settings>sounds and haptics, and change the volume of EVERYTHING. That's so stupid. And that's just one example of the dozens of things I've had to Google to find out how to do it. Want a song as your alarm? Don't delete apple music then or else you can't. I mean, whaaaat!? I had to go on reddit to solve that one. I miss so much from my S21 Ultra!
I wanted to buy the 14 pro or the max one, but I'll wait for the Iphone 15 and I guess the Iphone 15 pro ultra is bigger than the 14 pro max. Idk it's hard to make a desicion, because I always had Android and I guess if there was a an Iphone of the of size between pro and pro max then it would be perfect. The 14 pro is small and 14 pro max is to big
My 2 day old 14 pro max barely lasts me a full day with hardly any use during work unless I do a quick top up which is ridiculous my 14 plus would last me all day & then done with heavy use it should still last a day but doesn’t I have 120hz turned on with always on without wallpaper
Eeeesh, I think you got a lemon. Mine lasts 2 days. Literally 50 percent one day 7-8hrs screen on and then 40-50 percent used the second day with the same type of usage.
Does anyone else use the Zoom feature and have it the Zoom window get stuck? Come from an iPhone 8Plus, I find it silly that Apple couldn't find way for the home screen to rotate. Yes I know dynamic island blah blah blah, there is room for the app icons. I still find the dynamic island one of the poorest implementations. Aside from that, it's a good phone. If you one who is committed to the iPhone eco-system, it is a good time to buy before the lightening port is replaced by USB-C.
I really want the iPhone 12 Pro Max for Christmas, but I didn’t get it, so I went on Amazon and saw a “cheap “version of iPhone Pro Max. Should I get it? I don’t have the money to buy a real iPhone Pro Max. No one has the money can pay Apple’s crazy prices.
Granted you would need to find it either in third party market or refurbished section on first party market if you actually want to buy it and I think we know of the issue some people will have about that and most of the time it’s trust issues (should make this clear I’m definitely in the camp for getting the best worth out of your money even if I have to buy the older version of the device). Usually within the first few months of the new iPhone Pro’s release the older version will then start leaving the first party market shelves usually (though exceptions can happen)
