A gold 14 Pro became my first Pro iPhone in December as I’ve always purchased the less expensive versions, probably the best feature of this phone for me is the battery life. I know there is better battery life to be had, but I came from a 12 Mini so to me this is the best battery life I’ve ever seen in a phone. I also appreciate having a 3X zoom camera

From my experience and others’ opinions, the new iPhone has better camera and good stabilization. Not only that, the Dynamic island pretty much gave a kick and elegance to it.

Easiest answer for me is the dynamic island, followed by its beastly battery. I upgraded from 12mini so i'm loving the "no need to bring battery pack" 😅 just to last for a day. The high refresh rate can't be dismissed, and lastly the cameras.
Getting my 14 pro in a couple of days after having Android for the last 6 years. This review is literally the best there is out there and explains everything that i wanted to know!

@@catha86 so far and amazing experience! The camera is insane and every picture that comes out is jaw dropping and never ceases to surprise me. Everything else is also exceptional. As for the battery, it’s holding up well (a full day on a full charge and my screen on time is around 7-8 hours) I’ve also heard the issues about the battery after like 8-9 months where the battery life is degrading. But I’m following charging practices that apple suggests(charge when battery is around 20% and charge till 80%) so need to see how it is after a few months. I suggest you go for the 15 pro if there is no price drop for the 14 pro cause it’s priced the same as launch day but if there is a price drop for the 14 pro, I’d recommend totally go for it!

Form factor is solid and that display is just the best for me.
I like that it has a faster chip, and promotion vs my current iPhone 12.

the 14 pro is just IT. I think this will stay as a beast for years to come. Just the USB-c in my opinion as the factor to watch.

been using the 14 pro since november last year. my phone got this tiny scratches on the frame due to the dust that gets in the case. other than that it is a nice phone. worth the upgrade from my note 10 plus.

Just a small correction: saying that the S23 charges at 45W is wrong.
It is the S23 Ultra that charges at 45W, as the smaller S23 (but also the S23+) stops at 25W.

I actually transitioned from the 14 Plus to the 14 Pro. I thought in the first place that the dynamic island would be the most annoying thing after the e change, but after 6 months of use, sometimes, I don’t even notice that it’s there. Plus, it’s actually very handy in some times.

I've never had an iPhone ever but I always watch reviews like this or comparison videos to see which phone is more suitable for me when I already have a chance to buy one and what I've noticed from all of the reviews I've seen, iPhone camera stabilization is really top tier. I really love this certain feature to the point that I'm considering buying one if I have enough money already hehe. I also enjoy doing short reels or short videos that's why I appreciate camera stabilization so much. By the way, thank you for doing this kind of reviews because it's really helpful for people who want to spend their money on smartphones that can last them longer.
Coming to the 14PM from the Note20U, I always felt the PM was on the compact side--which might make some iPhone users laugh. My Note was large(r)! I loved it, so moving to the PM made a lot of sense to me, even if it was an adjustment. I understand, however, that some prefer the smaller form factor. To me, bigger is just better: bigger battery, bigger display, etc. Different strokes, for different folks!
You choose captivity over freedom. I went just opposite went from 13 pro max to s23 plus and never missd iphone a single day.

I picked the 14 Plus instead of the 14 Pro just because it has a bigger display and battery life is awesome. I definitely would like to try a Pro model for the camera system, but I’ll wait until the iPhone 16 lineup 👊🏼

My wife drop her pouch (iphone 14 pro inside) from motorcycle to the roadway at medium speed, and trigger crash detection. After checking for any scratch or bend, she did not found any single scratch or any bend. Glad to have 14 pro

i bought the regular 14 pro back in Sept 2023. I absolutely love the size and design of the device. its perfect since I am not a very heavy user and the battery lasts almost an entire day. it fits in my pocket very easily. Phones are just getting bigger and bulkier and the 14 Pro brings a balance in the lineup.

Great phone & I have it. However, I'd not have upgraded to it from the 12 Pro looking back. I feel it gets rather boring after so long using, I've had from 3G however I did try others from Samsung, HTC, LG etc.
The 120hz I coukd find no difference than to my 12 Pro. Certainly I never noticed, iPhone was so smooth anyway.
One thing is the watch, you simply can't have it if no iPhone, so I think the eco system is reason I've not had a swap.
Got first iPhone 14pro max it’s amazing thinking about Apple Watch and MacBook Pro trying to learn the system but it’s smooth and looking forward to updates

I have an iPhone 11 Pro and I'm thinking of moving to the 14 Pro, but the truth is that the phone is aging very well and the additional features, perhaps not justify the change at all, I mean, the 11 Pro will probably receive updates until 2025 or more, so I want to get the most out of it.
Excellent videos as always Dion, maybe a comparison between old Pro versions vs newer ones would be good.

I actually really like the dynamic island and the 120hz refresh rate. Once you go to 120hz you can never go back. Great video!

The 14 phone pro max is the best one out there
The phone is great, but I have some issues about dynamic island. For example, when I'm switching between the apps that do require Face ID, DI freezes and Face ID doesn't work anymore. It's not even possible to unlock the phone with it. There are few more bugs with the sound, for example, turning off an IG story and the sounds keeps going in the background.

How is the battery on a cellular heavy day in which for example you are travelling all day? I found the battery on my iphone 12 is worse on cellular and doesnt last me a full day wheras when i use wifi its fine.
Did you notice any problem with light reflection when pointing the camera to light sources (even small) like birthday candles? I always get big, disturbing reflection that I never noticed in my previous iPhones' camera.

I still can't stand that Dynamic Island is positioned way below the screen top. Very distracting while watching videos in landscape compared to notch (which is easily ignored because it is connected to the bezel). It's a great phone nonetheless.

I had the S23 Ultra and now the 14 Pro Max. What I dont like are the pictures if the sky is light. I shot a selfie of me and the sky was just blowing out. The 23 Ultra handled that very good and after 1-2 seconds the sky was blue. How can I fix that?
I gotta say my favorite feature of all is definitely the new always on display. it is so nice to be able to glance down and see the time without having to pick up my phone. Another super great one is the safety check! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve totally forgot or discard how many apps have my information, and I think the emergency reset is a great feature to be able to utilize. Definitely reassured me about who I need to remove from accessing my data, and who I can continue to let access it. It definitely is something I show to my clients when they come into my job asking about how to keep scammers away!

After recent usage of 13 Pro Max, S22 Ultra, Xperia 1 IV, S23 Ultra i decided to come back to smaller phone and chosen 14 pro. After came back i realised how good this phone is as overall package. With my usage battery lasting minimum 3 days, face id is simply great, video quality on highest level and this lovely manual mute switch 😊. From area of improvement i would say that photo processing could be better while making photos on sunny day, but indoor iphone is killing s23 series not to mention shutter itself which is the best in class.

recently had the chance to upgrade and my two choices were the iphone 13 pro and 14 pro. Went with the 13pro because i really wanted that sierra blue color and the camera improvement and dynamic island didnt really justify the price difference. been using the 13 pro for close to 3 weeks and am very satisfied with it

good review - but after a few days with a new iphone 14 pro (coming from pixel 6 pro) I can confidently say the cameras are NOT the best system on a smartphone. They may have potential to be, but Apples deep fusion is deeply inaccurate in many scenarios. It doesn't cope well in scenarios with lots of edges (e.g. in a wood with lots of leaves or grass). The image I want is only there for a second until apple's computational photography messes it up. Done in prores improves but I don't want to have to toggle all the time just to get the photo I want because of the over sharpening and bad HDR.
It copes much better with items that are nearer (up to 10 metres) and/or solid objects. I'm hoping they sort this in a update because it's purely software. If they don't I'll be going back to my trusty pixel.
And, tbh - after testing some side by side RAW images from pixel and iphone (12 v 48 megs) the 12 meg resolutions are brilliant from the pixel. There is slightly more detail, but I mean you have to crop in loads to notice it on the prores shots.
Video is excellent on the iphone.
And, don't get me started on having to look at the word 'clock' underneath the clock widget .. what's that about?
Overall camera system. Which includes video. It doesn’t necessarily mean best photos.

Honestly I feel like the 14 Pro isn't that big of an upgrade, and that includes the camera. The 13 Pro is about the same price new on remaining stock as the regular 14, and I would personally recommend that over anything. The camera sharpening is quite annoying, and the Dynamic island, although it has since grown on me, is still gimmicky until Apple adds some actual real functionality to it, which they probably will with iOS 17. The only major upgrade I see with the 14 series in general is the Super Steady mode, quite useful for my use case. The fact 4 year old Samsung A series devices had that feature is astounding, but Apple's implementation is far superior in every way, from stability, to sharpness and quality, not to mention the audio.
Also has anyone noticed that the RAM management on the 14 series is better than on the 13 Pro and 12 Pros? All of them are said to have 6GB but in my experience feel like they have a couple gigs more.

Not a fan of the pill at the top of the screen. I've seen pictures of what it looks like with content wider than 16:9. Thankfully it looks like they plan on going to a single hike punch with the iPhone 16pro.
Sometimes, youtube blacks out but keeps playing the sound. I’ve been updating regularly but it still happens.

I got my iphone 7 stolen, in 2019 and took me 2 years to replace it, and could buy at that time an iPhone SE 2nd gen (2020), it´s a good phone, but I want a better camera and I'm considering switching, that´s why I´m still checking whether it is worth changing my SE for the 14 or 14pro. It is July now, so if you are not in a hurry I would wait a few more months. What we hear now are only rumors, but later we will know for sure. And probably the price of the 14 Pro will drop

I think the iPhone 14 lineup is the most polished in a long time, and the 14 Pro / Pro Max is the end of an era. Maybe the 15 will be very different, so i'm trying to get my hands on a 14 and keep it until it isn't supported anymore, though I think I wouldn't use all the power of the pros.

I think the 6’1 size of the pro model is the perfect size for one hand typing and altough the dynamic island is more noticeable with some time I think we should get used to it
