@@richardKeytero exactly, and even if we did, the price difference isn’t much. Most would rather spend a 100-200 dollars for a newer year model that has much better features
I still use an iPhone SE (2016) daily running iOS 15. I’ve had it for more than 6 years now. I hate some things about Apple, but their phones are built to last and they maintain the software to go with it.
I’ve got a deep purple one from Canada. It’s nice because you have esim and physical options, more options are objectively better. It isn’t like the SIM card free models got anything beneficial in place of the slot
I personally am fine with e-sim and never was one to swap sim cards anyway (don't travel much out of the USA). What people are worried about is if US carriers use e-sim as a way to charge customers every time they swap phones (used or new) or use it somehow to lock a phone to a carrier's network.
I've had a Note 20 Ultra the last 2.5 years and have used the always on display the entire time. At first I didn't care about it but now I think it's almost a deal breaker if a phone doesn't have it. Android just shows a dim date time and notification icons so it's not a distraction but it's nice to just be able to look at your phone and see those things without having to wake up the screen.
I upgraded for a regular iPhone 11 to the 14 pro I will say I’ve noticed that the battery life is about the same if not slightly worse than I remember my 11 being brand new. That being said I have been using the always on display but just the time and notifications on not the wallpaper. I do like it because I can see what song is playing when the phone is mounted on my dash without having to turn it on, and distract myself from the road. But other than that the dynamic island is great and the cameras are even better. I’d say if you have an 11 or older this is a perfect upgrade but if I had a 12 like my friend I would probably hold out another year for the 15.
Could you please answer these brief questions: Is the battery health still good? Does it overheat often? i also have the iphone 11 i am doubting between 14 pro and 15
I’ve had the 14 pro max since October and I think the processing got better over time I feel like at the start they had the Google Pixel 6 problem where they kept the processing at the max even tho the bigger sensor didn’t need it so photos ended up looking overprocessed but now it’s far more natural
agree, night mode still needs a huge revamp to compete with pixel/samsung; it feels is the same the last 2 gens, no tweak at all... hope they improve it on the 15
I'll be switching to iPhone this month after being on Android since forever. There are so many thing I'll miss but so many things to look forward to. Lets go
I switched less than a year ago to a 13 pro and have been loving it, though...I love tech and cannot wait to see what the future S23 line up will bring. The notch does get on my nerv from time to time, but I must say, Face ID is dope!
@@Hanatsuki27 My early impressions after moving from Android to iOS, is that on iOS the same interactions take like 3-5 more steps. For instance, I transferred all my apps to iOS but I had to install it still after transferring. You cant batch install so I had to MANUALLY install EACH app one by one...fine.. but then, pressing "Get" requires authentication (Face ID) AND confirmation by double pressing the lock button. Ive probably doubled pressed that button 400 times to install each app... I have a million more examples 😂 Overall the apps are significantly better and more fluid on iOS
Been using AOD on all of my phones since I got a OnePlus 3t in 2016, super useful to see the time without touching my phone if I happen to forget my watch
As a greek i hope you enjoyed our country .If u visit again keep in mind that not only our islands are great but our inland too and much cheaper ! Great video , the only true negative for iphones is the price. As an android user i can find a flagship android from 1-2 year ago 50% of its price so its a no brain move for someone with a not big budget.

You don’t appreciate the major and minor upgrades from iPhone 7 thru to 13 not forgetting the X series. Can’t wait for my next upgrade to the iPhone 20 or perhaps XX
eSim only is a major deal breaker for me in the future. I swap between devices all the time. Unfortunately I’m sure Samsung and Google will follow Apple footsteps with eSim only.
I love the 14 pro,we have 3 here and 1 standard 14,no issues. I also like the AOD,it actually uses 0.8% battery with background on and 0.6% with just black per hour. So the same battery usage as an android phone with the AOD except it’s actually more useful.
Hey, it's always nice seeing Greece in completely unrelated videos! Hope you enjoyed your stay at Santorini, even though it's a tourist trap because of the gauged prices.
E-sim just means less user control. I don't want to have to get ahold of a carrier to move service from a broken phone to a new one. You tell yourself whatever lies you want to though.
I got lucky to have been able to receive my 14 Pro Max at the end of November’22. I had watched prior reviews about the camera bump when laying it flat but I knew it would not bother me as it just reminds me that I have an awesome camera. I bought the 1 terabyte one so for content creators out there I strongly suggest you get it too. There’s no sense in having one not even at 512 GB unless you’re planning on using the video recording for only 30 second clips when on the go.
Traded in my Iphone 13 pro max for the 14 pro max, and got it for like 500$. So far so good, and I love the dim feature on the always on display. I feel like its something new, and I love being able to see my new wallpapers at all times. battery has been pretty good, and it seems to be on par or not to far off from my old phone. I love it. 😁 dynamic island, and the camera are great upgrades, and I got the purple that looks amazing.
Haven’t had any notifications problem. The latest notifications pop up on the screen. If I unlock the phone without touching them I can still see them by locking it and swiping up. So if your screen is empty it means you have not gotten any new notifications since you last unlocked the phone. Avoids notification overload which I really like.
Always-on display is a must have feature for me. I switched from a Galaxy S21 Ultra to the iPhone 13 Pro Max and was just about to return to Android for that reason alone. Thankfully, the 14 Pro Max has it now and kept me on iPhone this time around.
Finally finding someone that used a s21 ultra. How are the differences? What does one does better than the other, and is it worth the switch to iphone? I recently bought my s21 ultra but 3 years from now i will try and switch to iphone. Curious to know your feedback as a former galaxy user
@@unknownwarrior5672 To be honest, I didn't use a ton of the "galaxy specific" features... such as their alternatives to apple pay, etc. so comparing apples to apples in that regard will be a little tough. With that said, it's fine, I guess. Each have their advantages. I would say that I'm overall happier on the iPhone currently. Granted, that could change at any moment. I've swapped between Android and iPhone 3-4 times over the past 10 years and I've always went back to Android. However, this is the longest that I've been on iOS now after a switch and haven't felt the pull to go back. I think I just get bored easily. iMessage is great if you iMessage with a lot of folks, but is kind of a moot point if you use other messaging services (discord, whatsapp, etc.). I do find myself using features more on the iPhone though, even ones that are standard to both. I've been using the siri automations more than I did the bixby routines. I've been using Apple pay more than I did NFC payments on the galaxy phone. I always used the fingerprint sensor on the galaxy and for whatever reason never used their version of FaceID (I think the S21 had face unlock anyway?), but now on the iPhone I love using FaceID and can't imagine using the fingerprint sensor again. I don't know if it actually does feel better and more techy to use these things as the reason I enjoy it more, or if it's just because it's using these things in a new environment and I felt that I had to try them and am now hooked. Not sure. But I do find myself using all of the iPhone's capabilities more than I did on Android. As for other stuff, the OS is good. Really not a ton different than Android other than locations of things. iOS has pretty much every app that I used on Android, so no worries there really. I do think that the consistency that Apple lords over things with does lead to a better overall and cleaner experience though. Everything feels a little snappier, maybe a little more animated with the transitions, etc. Sometimes I feel like you'd still get that odd, janky, Android experience occasionally and I don't feel like that happens quite as often on iOS. To be fair to Android though, I have sort of Android-ified some things and I think that's probably helped too. I think I'm doing a little bit of both worlds and that's keeping me here right now. I still use google photos (the web version I feel like is much better than Apple photos), I still use the google calendar (again, I use the web version a lot and feel like it's better than iCloud), but then I use iMessage for SMS, Apple reminders instead of google tasks, gmail of course, and onedrive instead of iCloud or Google Drive. So I've coupled that experience with having iOS and always getting the most recent updates and features, vs. waiting on Samsung to push out their customized version of Android and their OneUI. So TL;DR, I think I made the right decision and am currently pretty happy with no intentions of going back. Also currently looking forward to the next iPhone which will finally it seems have USB-C, so no more lightning nonsense. I thought I'd hate losing some of the customization of Android would kill me (putting icons anywhere, different launchers, etc.) but I really haven't cared one bit since settling in. As long as you just use the apps that you enjoy on iOS and don't feel bad about using stuff like Google photos and so on in an iOS environment and just sort of make it your own, the switch isn't really that big of a deal. At least it hasn't been for me so far. Sorry for the rambling vomit of text, but hopefully that at least gives you some idea.
I'm seriously considering getting an iPhone 14 Pro Max to replace my Note 20 Ultra. But I am scared of hating iOS, and I know I will absolutely hate the lightning port. I absolutely love my Note 20 Ultra. It just fits my needs perfectly, and tbh, I don't want to get a new phone. I love the screen, the form factor, the cameras, and I absolutely love love love the S Pen. I really don't want to lose the pen functionality. But the iPhone also has some advantages over the Samsung phones. I have always wanted an Apple Watch, I love Apple's speech to text typing, I already use Apple One on my Mac and iPad. And my truck has full screen Apple Car Play, but Android Auto is not as good. So I think I'm going to make the change and just deal with the awful lightning port. I'll probably just go with Mag Safe and call it a day.
Even for someone who is not interested in buying an iPhone 14 Pro this video would be quite nice to watch . It is soo smooth and professional. Thanks for the content!

2:00 On regards to eSIM, you said you simply shopped for an eSIM provider when you went to "Europe" and then went to Greece but as someone from Greece, no one uses eSIM there. Mose people use a physical SIM and prefer it that way. The service you're using isn't even Greek. It's a North American service which simply utilises probably has cheap roaming for an actual Greek service. SO the increased availability and ease of use is only limited to North America and isn't universal to most other countries. So that's a bad argument to make. Also foregoing the privacy issue, that something like this makes it basically impossible to have an anonymous SIM as you're required to use your identifiable bank card to sign up and pay.
Ive been an android user for years and i don't use the always on display ever. I may be one of the few but I actually like the way iPhone implemented the AOD.
AOD is a must. There was a time most smartphones used a notification light dot. You could easily tell which app sends you notifications just by looking at the color of that dot while your phone was sitting on the desk. AOD does similar job today but apple's notification system is terrible
On my s22 my always on display is enabled but I put the brightness to the lowest instead of automatic. That way the time and notification badges are not distracting but I can always glance over and see what I need without wasting extra battery with the screen always cranking brightness

The majority of people doesn’t buy 2 year old phones new from the store.
@@richardKeytero exactly, and even if we did, the price difference isn’t much. Most would rather spend a 100-200 dollars for a newer year model that has much better features
Someone hire this man to be a narrator for some movie or something!
I still use an iPhone SE (2016) daily running iOS 15. I’ve had it for more than 6 years now. I hate some things about Apple, but their phones are built to last and they maintain the software to go with it.
Its great that your channel is doing long term reviews!!
I’ve got a deep purple one from Canada. It’s nice because you have esim and physical options, more options are objectively better. It isn’t like the SIM card free models got anything beneficial in place of the slot
Only the SIM-free models get 5G mmWave (UWB) antennas, but the value is super questionable.
android user and that always on display saves your batter so much changing music checking time with just a black screen
I personally am fine with e-sim and never was one to swap sim cards anyway (don't travel much out of the USA). What people are worried about is if US carriers use e-sim as a way to charge customers every time they swap phones (used or new) or use it somehow to lock a phone to a carrier's network.
Video aesthetic 🔥🔥🔥
And the information in the video just mind blowing 🔥💯
I have a routine on my S22 where AOD enables when charging, and disables when taken off the charger
What's that wallpaper? Looks dope
I love you review and how you explained everything very deeply, also your voice and tone are great!
Does it overheat often? i also have the iphone 11 i am doubting between 14 pro and 15
I’ve had the 14 pro max since October and I think the processing got better over time
I feel like at the start they had the Google Pixel 6 problem where they kept the processing at the max even tho the bigger sensor didn’t need it so photos ended up looking overprocessed but now it’s far more natural
agree, night mode still needs a huge revamp to compete with pixel/samsung; it feels is the same the last 2 gens, no tweak at all... hope they improve it on the 15
Which IOS do you have? Mine still looks SO over-processed :(
@@gofasofrimus iOS 16.2
It still does give an overpocessed result every now and then but it’s been happening less and less
@@ghfsd786fa I mean I came from an 11 and most my friends have an S21 ultra and we’re all dumbfounded at the 14 pro’s night mode
I myslef is huge fan of AOD on android phones , as its less distracting and provides the basics info, without draining out much battery .
this was one of the best ip14pro reviews on youtube!🌟
Didn’t know you yet, but 3:59 reminded me of leaving a like and a sub
I'll be switching to iPhone this month after being on Android since forever. There are so many thing I'll miss but so many things to look forward to. Lets go
I did this on the 12 pro, i regret it every day.
Made my switch from android to the 14 pro last month. No regrets, loving it.
I have a million more examples 😂
Overall the apps are significantly better and more fluid on iOS
Forget about the review, I truely amazed by the photographs and sceneries.
Been using AOD on all of my phones since I got a OnePlus 3t in 2016, super useful to see the time without touching my phone if I happen to forget my watch
I love ur editing bro
I freaking love the new notification system! It’s useful and stays out of the way until you really want to view them.
Upgraded from an iPhone 6s…Which is just the best iPhone I fell in love with, yes I know it’s ancient….. but the iPhone 14 Pro is simply out of this world.
The idea here is for the tel-cos to actually step up the game and allow users to transfer esims on the go to different devices.
I don't think it's the same for every region, in some region e-sim is simply not possible or not fully ready yet
How’s the thermal throttling? It would be also cool if you guys go in depth in the architecture.
I don’t run into any in my day to day. That includes some basic GoPro edits on the for and exporting. But I don’t push it much.
Definitely a good point, I ran into thermal issues in the XR
@@Phynellius Same on 11 pro max on just google maps alone
Gonna need that wallpaper!
Did you find his wallpaper?
I love the 14 pro,we have 3 here and 1 standard 14,no issues. I also like the AOD,it actually uses 0.8% battery with background on and 0.6% with just black per hour. So the same battery usage as an android phone with the AOD except it’s actually more useful.
I upgraded from the 11 pro 128 gb to the 14 pro 256 gb and I rarely ever put my phone down now. It’s the best phone I’ve ever had.
Hey, it's always nice seeing Greece in completely unrelated videos! Hope you enjoyed your stay at Santorini, even though it's a tourist trap because of the gauged prices.
Great comprehensive review ❤
I prefer the wallpaper AOD over the basic black one, it’s more expressive so i keep it on.
Outstanding video with first class cinematography. Will put your excellent review to work on my own new iP14MP.
Great video for a great device Eber! I hope you did enjoy your vacation here in Greece too! :D
I loved how u mentioned "Pixel" while coughing 🤭
E-sim just means less user control. I don't want to have to get ahold of a carrier to move service from a broken phone to a new one. You tell yourself whatever lies you want to though.
Great video as usual, ordered my 14 pro max a month ago. finally shipped the other day. upgrading from a 13 pro max.
the last part where he said: "and please, spend responsibly"
I guess I'm not upgrading for now 😅
Ahh, those Santorini shots !! 😍
Obviously you are a honest reviewer
So answer this
Should I acquire usage of the
S23 ULTRA
OR
THE IPHONE 14 PRO ( MAX )
?
really loving the photos
Great photos mate! I hope you enjoyed Greece

Avoids notification overload which I really like.
real good review!
Can u just wait until the iphone 15 which shouldn’t have the lightning port?
I like your wallpaper bro! Very nice.

Nah I’m good
I turned off the always on display for most of the time
I sometimes turn it on cause it kinda looks nice but usually I don’t need it and it’s just really distracting when I have it on a desk
The fact that y’all comparing the close 13 pro max is crazy, I personally upgraded from the 11 pro max to the 14 pro max, and it was worthy of an upgrade, and I won’t be upgrading until the 16 since I know what most of the specs look like

Darn, those picture samples are well done! Excellent photographer
Using Samsung from s10+ to s21 ultra and always on "always on dispay" feature. It's useful!
So efficient. Thank u
Ive been an android user for years and i don't use the always on display ever. I may be one of the few but I actually like the way iPhone implemented the AOD.
I have a Pixel 7 Pro, and yes I have the AOD on - as I have every other phone I've had that's had one. It's so convenient.
AOD is a must. There was a time most smartphones used a notification light dot. You could easily tell which app sends you notifications just by looking at the color of that dot while your phone was sitting on the desk. AOD does similar job today but apple's notification system is terrible
YOU ARE A REALLY GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER!
Good video
"if I need to shoot B-roll FAST..."

On my s22 my always on display is enabled but I put the brightness to the lowest instead of automatic. That way the time and notification badges are not distracting but I can always glance over and see what I need without wasting extra battery with the screen always cranking brightness
