Wicks your videos help me prepare for the annual family reunion in florida evey year😂.
@@daishawilliams8301 😂😂🙌🏾
Can you please name the food you carry when you post in your short form? Some of those items look delectable! 😊
Definitely 😊
I can like and usually do, but I can't share. I don't have those other accounts.
Native Floridian here. All 100% true...except for checking my weight at Publix. I try to avoid scales. 😂
Not this bad in the winter up in J Ville... Don't know about Miami though...
@@darrenshebell3563 Central Florida here, surrounded by The Villages.
Not native but Clearwater here 20 years now
Love it 😮 too funny 😅😅❤❤
😂 Me too but I used to.
scorpion in the shoe, hornets on the garbage bins, wasps in the car, mosquitos spiders. spontaneous perspiration. florida
Don’t forget snakes, raccoons and alligators.😂
@@srodriguez721 yeah life update neighbors had a 5ft coachwhip chillin on their fence, been feastin on lizards probably
Damn! I didn't know we had mosquito spiders.
I'm not too surprised.
Been in Florida for like 35 years and do every single one of these. 😂
@AllUserNamesAreUsedI know right and this week is suppose to go back down into high 60 low 70 for like 2 days then right back up into 80s.
Do not leave ,you’re windows down in Florida . My wife ended up with an entire ant colony thru the sunroof . Queen came out the vent finally after a month wife smashed it saying there’s only room for one queen in this car .
😳😳😳
Did your wife get a little sand pile in the car too? My boyfriend got ants in his car once and they brought their own supply of sand in there with them. I never could figure out were the perfect ant pile came from while being in a car.
@@KatrinaGamse nope just the colony
@@KatrinaGamse happened in Lakeland
🤣🤣😆😅 I love her response!
Been here 27 years this is 100% accurate to the point of being a DOCUMENTARY! ❤
😂😂😂
@@bonitahamilton5762 Every Publix store has that big scale on the way out where the shopping carts are lol. Native Floridian here.
Go to the north a bit, between Meridian and Montgomery. It's hotter, otherwise all about the same.
That checking the trash can for wasps is too REAL.
And always thinking your hair is a bug! 😄
NEVER leave your shoes outside!
Hell I step on the top of my shoes and then shake them out and I never leave my shoes outside unless they are soaked from stepping out of the car to find out you parked in the middle of huge puddle😂
I wear sandals 99.9% of the time for this exact reason. 😂
Florida seems to be a microcosm of Australia.. you've basically reinacted living in Australia.
Like living in northern Australia specifically where the climate is tropical like in Darwin.
Miami is actually close to equal to Sydney as it is a similar distance from the equator
@@Helena-ou8ry Sydney climate is like LA.
@@Superator69 to dry my friend and not humid enough
Just don't bring the kangaroos over here we got enough problems
Man this is spot on. I lived in Florida for 23 years and I try to explain to people that don't live there how everything in Florida wants to eat you.
Parking under trees is great for shade, but it also risks exposing the car to either critter droppings or actual critters dropping.
This is true but car heat 😂
😂
@@omgitswicks I definitely got the “hot car” references. The seat belt buckles can leave welts, they get so hot! I love your material, thanks for giving me some joy in these troubled times.
I will take the bird poop over the car oven. Unless it’s during a cold front!
@@tembodiaz But it’s Florida…Who says it’s bird poop? 🦎 🐍 🦊 🦝🪱
Fr in Florida you got to check for Lizards, fire ants, spiders, palmetto bugs etc that’s life in Florida.
Lol. Can't forget the giant flying roaches/ palmetto bugs/ water bugs!!! Those things have lots of names. My South Dakota friend freaked out totally when we were camping! Lol
@@TheAdorkable-1 True
Never leave your shoes outside in FL! I once shook out a brown scorpion. Another time a neighbor and I were sitting in our porch in wooden Adirondack chairs when carpenter bees came flying out. They had gotten into the chairs!
Yall aren't the only ones with carpenter bee issues. I'm in Ohio. Those little bastards loved chewing my deck rails so much, I had to replace.
Yep there’s a log cabin next door it sounds like an airport in the spring and summer 😂
Just my hair! You kill me!
Yep. Perfectly correct. I used to be especially fascinated by driving through the storm walls. Completely clear, dry and sunny, visibly entering the storm wall, exiting out of it in 1-2 minutes and it is completely clear, sunny and dry again on the exit side. 👍
Now drive along lake Michigan up towards the Grand rapids area and drive through snow walls and rain walls in the same three quarters of a mile followed by full sun and repeat on a spring day. Sawd dude coming with a convertible top down from the sunny side and new what kind of day he was about to have😂
Or seeing it rain in back of the house and sunny in front of the house. Or raining and there ain't a cloud in the sky. Good Ole Florida liquid sunshine😂
@@gothgirl4evr881 Truth. I've had it rain in the front yard, and the back yard was completely dry.
Parking under a shaded tree as far from the front of the parking lot is something my husband and I do regularly for 2 reasons. 1) To keep our automobile as “cool” as possible. 2) Only 50% of our car doors can be damaged if someone opens their car door to wide. We call it the 50/50 rule.
So true, we do the same here in Orlando!!
Exactly! We don’t care about the closest parking spot to Publix, just the shadiest!
All of these are for real. A daily thing. Thanks Wicks😊
Bro i JUST did the shoes and the chair right before i started watching.
As someone that grew up in S Florida, the rain bit is spot on...😂😂😂...
I share his hatred and fear of red ants😂
Yeah I accidentally stepped on one and everywhere it bit they left permanent scars, I think it got to the nerve there.
I have been living in FL for 10 years. I have tried to describe how FL is to my friends and family up north, your videos do a much better job!
14 years for me.
His comedy never disappoints me❣️
omg...this was also living in the desert😂😂😂
Man, I'll take dry heat over humid heat any day, though.
@@KamiNoBaka1 i definitely agree 👍
Az over fl all day imo
That parking spot is coveted in Florida. I don’t care if I’m walking a half mile extra, I’m getting a shady spot. Oh, and get those window shades too. It won’t cool off the car, but it shades the spots you touch while driving.😁
Hitting the shoes and kicking the chair...so me so Florida 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've been in and out of publix over the last ten days. As a Californian in Fl for the first time, I have to say I'm impressed. Especially because they don't charge you a dollars to use the scale it's absolutely free. And your public restrooms aren't carved with knives and sprayed with graffiti.
You’ve not used any gas station restrooms off of the highways that are open in the middle of the night & are located behind the building?
Wicks needs a screened-in patio and a garage!
Screens don't keep the noseeums out. Only glass windows can.
As a native Floridian, thank you for brightening my day. Always a chuckle watching your vids!
God Bless
❤️🤣❤️😂 TRUTH 100%❤️🤣❤️😂
💯💯🤣🤣👏👏Born and Raised and still HERE... And all true
I do my shoes like that and they have been sitting in the house😂😂😂
Born and raised in Miami. The other night I accidentally kicked a possum throwing out my garbage. Last year I heard thumping at my door and when I opened I find a big turtle trying to get in. There are ducks, roosters, iguanas, raccoons, peacocks, snakes, all sorts of frogs and lizards everywhere in my neighborhood. Every now and then I find baby turtles swimming in my pool so I save them and keep them as pets. I have 4. Last week as I rode my bike a snake crossed my path and I had to slam on my breaks. Ten minutes later I see a 5 foot alligator just chillin in the canal just two blocks from my house.
Right now it’s pouring out but half an hour ago it was completely sunny. In an hour it’ll be sunny again.
I went to Publix yesterday but the scale was broken. I felt incomplete as I shopped for milk and mosquito repellent.
This video is awesome and hilarious because it’s all so true. Florida is definitely a trip but quite honestly I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Love bug season is what makes Florida special.
Always visit as soon as the notification pops up!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾I appreciate you
💯 born Floridian. Yes, every single one of these is 💯 accurate for South FL 🔥 ☀️ 🦂 🐍 🐜 🌧️ 🐝 🦟
Killing the shoes got me!
All true! Something in the garage I need to bring into the house??? Shake it out, hit it, turn it upside down, wait 10 minutes...then bring it in.
LMAO😅😂......I live in Florida - this video is accurate!
My parents were disabled. They had the disabled thing to hang on the rear view mirror. But during summer times, my mom would park in the shade. My younger sister and I would have to walk from the shady part of the parking lot to the store. Usually felt like it was a mile walk each way lol
Lmfao 😂😂😂...yo that's me every day..😂😂😂...
Windshield covers are a must! I live in Arizona, I can relate to the car oven😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes! Loved this cuz you’re always on the lookout for critters when you live in Florida - big ones, small ones, inside and out!😂
So freaking Funny ! Thanks for the Giggle ! Having natural hair that's grown past my butt cheeks I CAN Relate to " OH THAT'S MA HAIR 😂😂😂
Shit I did this the other day. Matter fact I went outside to get some old trays from growing vegetables last year, and I called myself cleaning them out nicely in the sink. Woke up this morning to a damn 2 inch spider in the damn sink.
Nailed it with the publix scale and being afraid of taking out trash.
Gotta worry living in Florida!
Taking out the trash at night! Only with a flashlight in hand and a .22 in my pocket. I got snakebit in my own driveway stepping out of the truck barefoot one night😂
Check for snakes. When i grew up in Florida I once put my backpack on the ground. Little did i know it was on a fire ant hill. They covered my entire body and bit me all over.
Native Floridian here born and raised and so much yes.
Fire ants? Red wasp? Always look under the portapotty lids… red wasp LOVE to hide under the portapotty seats… 😱😱😱
Wearing gloves while driving is genius X'D
I love our Thunderstorm season.I do wish that the Anole lizards would stop trying to turn my car into the Villages.
BIG DOGG i been watching yo vids for like 3 day , dead ass i'm starting to think u gotva flip phone for real. I'm n Chicago and I know a few with a flip i call it a ol trap trap phone and u remind me of 1 😂😂😂😂 lol
Never have I up voted a video with such a smile on my face!😊
All too real! Loved this!😂😂😂
I didn't know you've been filming me! Seriously, after the brown widow spiders moved in to the area and my yard, I now specifically have to limit any garbage can duties to daylight hours only and I run, not walk, it to the curb (after inspectionand with gloves on). Did you hear the new Publix locations will not have the scales? The company that made them has stopped manufacturing them now.
Lol .....visited Florida twice , would love to become a Floridian.... Canada is to dang cold....loved that 4:20 rain shower , you can almost set your watch by the rain in Florida. Quick sprinkle never hurts anyone , its the crazy storms you have to watch out for. You have to start a comedy tour , if Charlie Berens can do it , anyone can.........👍 👍 🇨🇦 I thought for sure he was going to have a taxi or a uber driver pick him up to take him to the store.....at least he parked in the shady spot...lol
As a native Floridian, I preemptively start to sweat by thinking I might go outside.
Ben to Florida for vacation and never let my guard down😂
That hot seat belt buckle!😂
The last clip!!!! So true! Walk out 5 min and you’re already drenched in sweat 😂😂😂😂😂
All of it accurate but that last clip hit home 🤣🤣🤣🤣
We need more compilations. Like all the bugs or the fronts and weather. lol.
😂 spot on! I moved out of FL seven years ago, trying to go back, the first quiet scene at Publix had me reminiscing instantly.
The lawn chair is real as it gets, i remember I was like 13 years old and sat in one and the biggest damn wasp nest I’ve ever seen was right up under that joint and I got lit up😂💯
Nailed it !!!
My EXACT experience for 7 years.
I can't wait to go back!🤪🤣
This is a very accurate depiction of living in Florida. Bugs everywhere constantly biting you, scalding hot steering wheels and seatbelt buckles, can’t be outside for more than a moment without sweating your balls off. Good video!
Ya'll know what he's looking for, shaking everything. Snakes, spiders, lizards, scorpions.
As a southerner what you do is open the car, start the car, close the door, you don't even get in yet. Also don't buy a black car.
You are SOO CRAZY!! I LOVE TO READ & SEE YOU!! I'M LAUGHING SOO HARD & SOO MUCH!!! YOU & THE GUY ON THE M&M TAX THING!!! LOVE HIM TOO!! WISH HE WOULD DO RUclips ALSO!! HOPE HE READ THIS!! LOVE TO SEE YALL TWO!!
We called them stingalizzards in Dime Box Texas when I was little. We always made sure there was nothing living in our shoes before sticking a foot in there. There were 36 different kinds of poisonous snakes and lizards and spiders in the county I grew up in.
I'd be surprised if you didn't do a weigh in😂
Spot on! Glad you had your flip-phone!!
I'm Australian and these spoke to me! I bring my shoes inside after I take them off, but still check before I put them on. 😂😂
Lol it's raining. It's not raining. Welcome to Florida, if you don't like the weather, wait a minute
.
Say what you want bout those crazy Florida animals but I'd rather deal with dangerous animals than humans not saying yall free from them they everywhere lol you got the best videos GOD BLESS
Hey, you forgot a Christmas in shorts scene.
In all seriousness, you nailed it squarely, friend. The palmetto bug is the dang state bird and I may or may not have oven mitts in my glove box.
Native Floridan and yeah I can say without a doubt the worst parts are the bugs and that fact that the weather is only tolerable for a few months out if the year. The rest of the time you're staying inside at all costs
Spot on! Burning your thighs on a car seat always gets me!
Floridian here! So nice to know I'm not the only one that freaks out over my hair!😂😂😂😂
Every one of these so true . I went to sit under an oak tree in my backyard one day, couldn't do it, there was a big 8 ft alligator just feet away from my patio chair. Then another time same patio chair, same oak tree, I always lift up the chair cushions before I sit and I am so glad I did because there was a small snake by small I mean he was the diameter of my finger and maybe about 15 in Long, he was all coiled up under that cushion. Another time I go to take my trash barrel and found that there was a snake beneath it. I had a scorpion in my kitchen, it was small no bigger than my pinky finger but a scorpion is still a scorpion regardless of size. Oh yeah and I forgot about the fact that I always had water moccasins on my Lanai at my old house they were small again no thicker than my index finger and maybe about 15 inches long but they were always there. Oh and let us not forget about the raccoon in my attic which tore into to my ductwork so I had to replace all of that, I had to replace all of the insulation because it relieved itself all over the place, and it chewed into my coaxial cable causing that to need to be replaced. Oh and did I mention the three spots of skin cancer on my face? Yep there's no place like Florida !
We get every season in March..... in a week!!! Lol
Omg the skit where you're passing through the rainstorm and then it's clear. 😂😂😂
Ayeee!!! We at the beach ⛱️ on Christmas 🎄
Accurate ASF!!! Should’ve thrown Publix dinner in the mix 😂😂😂😂
Just excellent! I miss Florida!
I soo love floriduh. Nothing about it that I don't like, except the job market. I repair heavy machinery. Not much need for that in Miami. ☹
I have lived in Florida most of my life. It’s true. Specially on hot scorching days you wear gloves to grab the seat belt and the steering wheel. Maybe some oven mittens will do too. 😂
.
maaan youa sissy, if we dont have to do that in Houston heat i think u are exaggerating like a women
There's not anyone that could do this channel better!!! Hilarious and awesome
🤣🎯💯% No lies detected! Spot on! Especially the 1st one! I'm always seeing people get on the scale @ Pubix supermarket! ⚖️
Bang on. The driving in the rain bit had me dying. 😂
Native Floridian and this is spot on! 😂
As someone who moved from Michigan to South Florida in 2006, the weirdest thing was getting in my car and it being so hot that my body was literally in shock and didn't start sweating. You'd think you'd be dripping with sweat, but no. Your body has nfc what to do.
You made me laugh so hard! This is me every day, checking for frogs especially! Even had one in my car one day and literally had a panic attack!
With the car window rolled down, i was expecting to see a gator in the back seat😂😂😂😂😂
Even if you don't leave the windows down, you still gotta be careful about those car critters. I once had a large spider come dangling down right next to my face while drive at highway speeds. I'm lucky to be alive 😅
😂😂😂 OMG so true every morning I think there is a bug inside the car 😅 Thanks for the 😂
8th generation Floridian - all accurate! One exception, forgot to mention checking the mailbox for scorpions before you reach in and checking under the trash can for snakes😂
Having grown up in good ole Florida I thank you for the laugh your video provided every bit was true and then some. I never could figure out how there could be 100% humidity and yet not be raining. Like I said a real barrel of laughs. So funny in fact I'm now living where I was born. Canada.
The rain bit 100% correct
The SCALES 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
You do the best living in Florida, for real.
