Some of my worst sunburns have been at Fall Festivals. The weather has “cooled down” to the 70s-80s, so you walk around in fall clothes being excited about fall. Then you are sweating profusely, come home with BO and have a farmers tan sunburn. But hey, you come home with a pumpkin and homemade fall baked goods.
Wasn't born but raised 20 plumb in the sticks of the panhandle. You didn't need a hurricane for the power to go out. A good strong thunderstorm would roll through round 4 or 5 pm, cause a pine limb to take the power line. You would hope it's on the highway and easy to get to. We took it as a drill for when a hurricane did come through. Been a couple of years since I've moved and I still grocery shop like I'm expecting one. Which right now has helped a lot. 😅
I throughly enjoyed the this video. Especially about the Palmetto bugs. I have had several occasions when I was trying to sneak up on one on the wall to try and unalive it. It suddenly turned and lifted and flew straight for me. I didn’t know I could move that fast or scream that loud!
Lol. Nailed it…I always tell family, friends and snowbirds that summer is our winter-you can’t grow anything and you’re stuck inside. And I definitely can relate to the “it’s supposed to be fall” anguish. Most years it’s like What the heck September, really?!…. The worst was after Irma (which was in Sept. if you recall), I remember picking up yard debris in sweltering heat and it was so humid I had to literally wipe my glasses off like every minute or so bcuz they fogged up completely. Definitely a “Super Humidity” encounter.😁 Definitely enjoy your humorous videos about Floridaing and FL life. This one was particularly relatable. You have a gift.
Been here for 30 yrs and I can personally attest to the fact that going outside with no shoes on is always a damn gamble 😂😂 it's either fire ants, sticker burrs, or Lord knows what else would like to catch and eat u!! Cicada hunters that live under ground.... No and thank you very much 😂

I moved to Florida and stayed 9 months and I was out rain on one side of the road- Gators but what did it for me spiders carry mouse up a tree I'm out 😂😂😂😂😂
