    Honestly, I think that they look almost the same! I believe that if you compared the 2 cars using the same color, it would be harder to tell the differences. I just bought
    a 2017 SQ4 in the dark metallic grey with the peanut butter interior and absolutely love it. I traded in my 2014 SQ4 and am amazed at how much better the handling and ride is with the '17. I'm sure when the time comes, I'll trade my car in for the newer version because no other car in that price range has the "Wow" factor that the Ghibli has. Thank you Ron, for doing great Ghibli videos!

      John you hit it right on the head, "no other car in that price range has the "Wow" factor that the Ghibli has" I 100% agree with you, glad you've been enjoying your Ghibli and my videos! I have a lot more coming :)

    The newer model is a Gran Lusso which means luxury. Of course it's nicer than the older base model.

    I always thought of Maserati as a shark and how sharks are portrayed, mean aggressive, swift, kings of the seas. The design team is getting closer and closer to how I originally imagined them and I'm excited! I wonder if the Levante is getting any of these changes

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  7 лет назад +1

      Very good analysis. Seems like the later models are looking more and more like sharks with those gill like grilles.

    The 2018 looks a lot better! It makes the 2017 look really boring and plain, or is that just me? Nice video Ron great camera angles and a clear explanation as always.

    What do you think if I buy a s q4 2016 it has 36k miles and they want 28k$!what do you suggest it will be a good investment will be better to lease a better car, willl be better to buy another car for that price or should I buy it because I’m more concerning about the losing value of the car to be honest but since you probably will give me a good recommendation this is why I’m writing to you thanks

    Traded in my 2015 Ghibli for a 2017 Ghibli Nerissimo. I was concerned that the model changed, but all the changes in the 17 were also included in the 2017 Nerissimo edition!!

    • @IMKenMartinez

      That's whats up! Enjoy that Nerissimo, they look sick!

    • @RaphaelLacoste
      @RaphaelLacoste 6 лет назад

      Kenneth Martinez The only Difference in the Nerissimo is that the Chrome is replaced by black paint, but its the exact same shape and pieces than the 2017 :) actually, the black makes a perfect illusion that the design is like 2018, this is why I am thinking to change the color of my Front Chrome piece of my Ribelle MY 2017 for black paint, to have a more « Bad Ass » mouth. Its really efficient design wise.

    I'm glad you did this video, I've been on the fence for so long, Maserati vs other. My only concern is will it loose its value just as fast as the 2017 model? I know these cars are terrible at holding resale or trade in value.

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  6 лет назад +1

      To best honest, any Masi you obtain will lose value tremendously. If you plan on leasing, you're in the clear. If you finance, just plan on keeping the car for at least 4 years to break even.

    Very nice video and comparison, I still Love my 2017 SQ4 Nero Ribelle / Carbon Pack. It looks crazy nice too. I personally also prefer the headlamps and the LED line of the 2017. but Man, the mouth looks really bad ass on the 2018 ! can't wait to get an update in 2020 :)
    note: what kind of "look" updates you think can be made on the front ? using a black liner for the mouth / chrome lip ?

      Thanks Raphael, I just sold at 2018 Nero Ribelle Ghibli S today and it has the carbon pack. It was the one in our showroom floor! I prefer full LED myself. They look very sharp! Hmmm.... 2020, maybe a tail lamp update, I would love to see a power update. They made so many visual changes, I would say the side of the car is really the last thing they need to perfect.

    Ron, love the vids... as a 2 month 2017 Ghlibi S owner, these cars are total and utter crap... The drive and performance are uncomfortable and horrible, the infotainment system is a joke, constantly playing with the MTC+ Bluetooth to get it to work. I’ll be driving and the whole display will turn on and off. The front stripping one the sunroof strayed to peal off..and I can go on and on...the only reason anyone would get this car is to say or be seen in a “Maserati” very disappointing.

    • @RonsRides

      Very sorry about your experience Arsen. I cant vouch for the MTC system because those were introduced in the 2017 models so I'm not sure how well they work. Snow I can afford this car that’s why I’m considering it. I’m just tired of people saying it’s a Chrysler just because it has Chrysler buttons. Cars that drive amazing are far better in my mind than a car that drives you around.

      Which is okay to be honest. Its just buttons and infotainment which the infotainment is a HUGE upgrade from old Maserati's.

    I need to go to the eye doctor because these minor, minor tweaks to the design couldn't possibly be the earth-shattering style changes you suggest. You're comparing a new premium modem to an older standard model? I'm guessing the the premium model from 2015 had more exterior design differences than these two models. And the older model with the black fins, in my opinion, looks better than the newer model grill with the chromed fins. The chrome trident stands out on the older model. It is drown out on the newer model.

    Ron it’s not a new generation, it’s only a new touchup with grill and bumper that’s it......

      A lot of improvements from the first year models. Trust me, I had a 2015 Ghibli.19 models have even more as far as different center console, shifter, paint and wheel options etc. Change is better than no change.

    They pretty much look exactly the same dude have your eyes checked out you literally said what a massive difference if both them where the same colour you would barely tell the difference.

    Ron...much love but I'm sorry dawg...it's not that radically different....Quite frankly..the new headlights look ACURA like...My 2017 Ghibli SQ 4 in White w/ Red and Black interior looks way better than that Grey car...Don't care for the silk seats...look like tire tread...D

      Lol savage Dino. You cant say it hasnt improved.though haha. Style my be subjective, I'll give you that. For ex, no matter what the lights may look like, full led from hid is an improvement.

      I hear you Ron....But as far as a driver...My Giulia Quadrifoglio blows the Ghibli away....that's why the Ghibli is the wife's car !!!! Peace Dawg !!!

    Dodge Daytona 392 kills this car and they’re coming from the same company but that garbage cost around $80,000 or even more. Save money and don’t get the Maserati , it’s not worth the money, should be around mid $45,000 for that car

    Who cares how it looks the car is a piece of shit. Do your research before you waste 80-100k on this shit. I had one and had nothing but problems so has most everyone else

      There’s always a choice when buying a car. Some people make good ones. Some people just don’t know any better. I’ll stick with my S6. 😇

    Can you quit saying how different it looks? They literally look nearly the same... If you want to talk about a difference then talk about a car with an actual post-refresh difference...This is basically like talking about a 2018 Lexus IS versus a Lexus IS with F-Sport package... lmao
