  • In this episode, we track cyclone Jasper and the destruction that came with it. Also, a quick look at a small generator that's been sitting in my shed for the last year or two.

@@pete-mate3524 Thanks mate. All good here. Feeling for those folk who lost everything though. Plenty around Cooktown especially toward Bloomfield who lost everything. Not even sure if my stuff in cairns survived, will find out when I get down that way. Worried that your yard was at risk, but your place in the older, wiser part of town.

Here also, so often when predictions of terrible storms are made they often don’t materialize but it is better to be safe than sorry. Sometimes it almost seems like the weather channels want terrible storms so they can report on it and sell more air time. Inside joke, Jasper heard Casper was in the area so Jasper got scared and backed down.

Hi Geoffrey, I understand it's their job to make things sound interesting, but sometimes they go too far, too often. Until they sound like 'the boy who cried wolf'!

Hi mate I’m glad it’s all ok at your place. It certainly doesn’t look good on our news down here. It’s showing flooding everywhere but obviously further up than you. Doesn’t look good from what we are seeing. I thought it was a great video and certainly was interesting. Talk soon mate

Hi Steve, to be honest, there was a bit more damage around than I was aware of. Me personally, very much 'dodged a bullet'...... this time! I have friends up north that I still haven't heard from, but I'm sure it's because they're busy and not something horrible (small community, I would've heard, otherwise) All safe here. Thanks for the comment. :-)
