A Linkin Park-Evanescence collab would have been something to top Collision Course with Jay-Z back in the day. Two legendary bands that defined a generation.
Nobody and i mean nobody can replace chester EVER. But amy lee is one of the few singers i personally consider amazing that manage to do something a lot of singers fail at in my opinion. Where the singing is all pretty and prpfessional but lacks emotion to "sell" the lyrics. Chester managed to convince me ever lyric je sang he actually meant it and it was personal. Because actually it was something he personally related to as well. Which made his singing powerful. Amy also has that in her. She convinces me she believes on what she is singing about. But she will be her own thing not a "replacement"
i dont think anyone could replace chester, hes one of a kind. i think they should recruit vocalist from all bands and genre to collab once in a while to make future albums.
Lzzy Hale could front Linkin Park, so could Amy Lee. So could Deryck Whibley. You want someone who can sing soft and do the long sustained growls and also make new music, not just cover their existing catalog.
