Love this tutorial. Many thanks!!!
glad you like it! thanks for watching.
Okay, this was awesome. Besides leading to a great looking material, you were able to quickly through some basic UV Editing stuff, which is something I have no familiarity with, without me getting lost.
thanks for watching 😀
Thank you so much, very good turorial.👍
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you, good job.
Thanks for watching!
Valuable Content!
Thank you! 😀
Just subbed. I tried blender a while ago and dropped it cause of the learning curve but you make this shit look approachable and the fact that yoi explain everything even though you explained it in a past video helps a lot. it kinda gets the idea through my big dumb cave man brain haha keep it up my dude. Would love to see some animation stuff explained like this but i know that is a whole other skill set.
really good thanks
Thank you for watching!
Thanks heaps. The process is starting to sink into my thick head.
Thanks for watching!!
9:44 If you had put the coordinate source through a Reroute node before feeding it to multiple inputs, you could have changed the source by moving just one noodle.
Every time I have a single output feeding to multiple inputs, I like to use a Reroute for this purpose.
thanks 👍
👏Amazing
Thank you!
Hello thanks for the tutorial, is a really good material, I think the only thing that need is the corrugated part of cardboard for the borders to be the perfect material. I go to try to find a way to add that. Thanks for another fantastic video.
Thanks!
Thank you, sir!
Very welcome! 😃
Thank you very much.
You are welcome!
6:55 use Add to make stripes a little random
8:10 Use bump twice to apply two different heights
👍 👍
Nice!
Thanks!
very good tutorial
glad you like it!
@@RyanKingArt its also a good base for kitchen towel paper if you change the color and change it a bit👍
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Awesome! Next time it will be "PROCEDURAL JEANS" with seams, embroidered logo and faded colors! Thank you!!!
Haha, thats a good tutorial idea. Thanks!
@@RyanKingArt It won't be a tutorial as usual you always teach us here. Thank you very much! A big hug from here in São Paulo.
thank you 🙂
You are welcome! Thanks for watching.
Thank You s much...👍
Thanks for watching!
Thank you
You're welcome!
Hi Ryan !!!! Thank you very much for this video !!!, really very clear and precise. A consultation, would you be able to teach us how to make the edge of the corrugated cardboard ?, where you can see a wave or 2 waves. It would be ideal to have such material in the form of a procedure. From already thank you very much!!!
Thanks for the tutorial idea. I will consider it.
thank you
You're welcome!
YOU ARE EVERYWHERE !!!!
Haha, thank you. : )
Cool!Thanks dear,Hug!
Thanks for watching!
Dude, you are really good at nodes. Being a new sub, I am curious - I'm about to be 5 months in Blender, but how long have you worked with this program? You are very knowledgeable.
Thanks! I've been using Blender for about 5 and a half years.
Looking great! Now, what about the trickier part, the cardboard edge, possibly created in tandem with the Solidify modifier? 😊
Yeah maybe I can make a video on that sometime. 👍
That's interesting.. 😁
Thanks!
My boy's a box, damn you!!
A BOX!!
?
HEY can I ask question I'm doing a packaging mockup I tried to do that but it removes my design in blender how do I make it to not get it remove my designs but still be able to do that cardboard material thank you please help still beginner here. :)
How would I go about exporting the material I made onto uefn?
Hello guys im pretty new to blender and I followed the tutorial exactly as showed and I cant seem to make the lights work after making the texture, it does work when i remove them so its probably that, can someone help me with that please?
great video, Can anyone explain me how to put an image on the top of this carboard material ?
You can mix it in with a MIX RGB node.
Hello. I'm just replying to this comment again, because for some reason RUclips is still sorting it in the "Comments I haven't responded to" list. So hopefully that will fix it. : )
Is there a way to add some label on it ? I try actually but impossible to have the result I want
yes, I have a tutorial on how to do that: ruclips.net/video/MBy62M7TcgY/видео.html
*How to Overlay an Icon within a Material (Blender Tutorial)*
Great tutorial, but realistically the "flute" direction of the cardboard wouldn't be the same on all four folding tabs. Since most boxes are cut out in a sort of X pattern from a single sheet, two of the folds would have a horizontal flute. Small detail, but figured it 's worth mentioning.
Yeah your right. 👍
What hardware are you using to render? Looks incredibly fast in cycles compared to what I'm working with!
I have the RTX 2080 Super GPU
9:55 No need to double-tap the A-key, that was a pre-Blender-2.8 thing.
👍

When I searched for the mix RGB, nothing named Mix RGB showed up. Plz Help me. I am fairly new to blender
🙏🙏🙏
I made a video specifically about the Mix Node: ruclips.net/video/i4GAHxtDAsk/видео.html
In the new Blender update of 3.4, they changed the Mix RGB node, to just the Mix Node. So just add the mix node, and change the Float option, to Color. Then you can use it just like the mix RGB node.
@@RyanKingArt Ohhhhh okay thanks so much. I did end up using just the mix node, I just wasn't sure what to do after that because it didn't have the same settings lol. You are a very underrated RUclipsr!!!
what about the bumpy comb like edges?
Yeah sorry I don't cover that part in this video.
i feel ao lucky that i render in 1080p so i dont need super realistic material, just need to get the idea across
Yeah. 🙂
Sir can we have cloth prosedrual material
Yes, I would like to make a tutorial on that. Thanks!
@@RyanKingArt thank you sir
How to save this for reuse
Just save the blend file somewhere on your computer. Then you can use Blender's append option to add the material to other Blender files. Or you can check out my newest tutorial, on how to use Blenders Asset browser. And you can add the material as an asset to use in your projects.
@@RyanKingArt ok tysm
As for blender 3.5.1 this settings are not working, just to save you time, seems like the mix shader was changed and the color + add seems be the problem
I appreciate that we can pause while we make adjustments etc. but... PLEASE.. Take a breath man.. Take. A. Breath
sorry. thanks for the feedback
this tutorial is so bad you got to tell us what your doing step by step. for example at 1:30 how do you add a emmision and what command did u use to activate it. i was lost 2 min in because i couldnt follow
I'm sorry you don't like the video. Thank you for the feedback, and I'm sorry you were not able to follow along.
To add the emission, press Shift A, then search emission in the search bar.
This is laggy as hell
ahh sorry about that.
hello sir in my blender 3.62 mix rgb node is not showing
they changed it to the Mix Color instead. so just use the mix color node.
@@RyanKingArt OK sir that is similar to the mix RGB I saw in your video.
