I was diagnosed with osteopenia at 68 and osteoporosis at 70. I began weight bearing exercises with hand and ankle weights 3x a week. In addition I began taking vitamin K2-MK7 which encourages bone generation. The next bone scan, which is done every 2 years, I no longer had osteoporosis in my spine and osteopenia in the neck of the hip. I am 5’8” and weigh 150-155 lbs. I strongly encourage anyone who has osteoporosis to do weight bearing exercises and look into K2-MK7.

Anna were these the exercises you did? I’m always confused on which ones to do so I wind up not do what I should. I’m not afraid of exercise I just like to follow something because there is so much information it’s confusing. Also I’m looking into that vitamin. Thx for sharing.
I had excruciating neck fractures and the pain went away while I was reading the Bible out loud one night, my bones, joints and whole body felt very much stronger too. So never forget your daily bible reading out loud for a few minutes or more. Pray every day in Jesus' name. Always be faithful with your tithing it can heal so much. 🤗
I'm 19 and got diagnosed with osteoporosis in my spine, all because of anorexia. This has been an alarming wake up call for me to eat better, gain weight and strengthen my body with exercise. Thank you for this video!
Hi. I had suffered from Anorexia during my junior years in high school. I had it before the famous singer, musician, Karen Carpenter died so this doctor my mom took me to see didn't even know why I was starving myself. This doctor said, "Just eat & you'll be fine!" I continued to suffer with this illness into my 20s, 30s, & 40s. The 1 thing I did do is start a brisk walking routine when I was 23yo. I have been doing that all my life, regularly, & now I'm 67yo. While I was diagnosed with Osteopenia in my late 50s, it wasn't because of the Anorexia, it has more to do with a partial hysterectomy in my mid 30s. You need to see what you want of your life--what you want it to be FOR yourself. Nobody else. Care for your body. You have only one. Learn to really value yourself. You deserve that and nothing less.
Good exercises! I reversed osteoporosis recently without the drugs (which my doctor tried to push on me) - with my diet, supplements, and exercise. And I'm 62! 😊

I have osteopenia, arthritis in my spine, scoliosis, DJD among other spinal problems. When I was younger I was strong, kept myself in good shape before it became so popular which is why I think I am not worse than I am now. Since my pain meds were cut too fast (less than 30 days) the pain came on strong. I have found as many natural remedies for pain as I can as well as diets for osteoporosis & inflammation. Exercises will certainly be a big help as I have slowly become more inactive from the pain. I know I need to keep moving. Thank you so much!!!

In addition to this instructional video, it would be nice to have a 30 minute workout with these exercises to follow each day without the introductory commentary. In other words, a video we can follow that would give us this complete workout in 30 minutes or so.

Hi Andrea Wonderful, simplified, orderly exercises. I m 68 yrs old & do most of these + other exercises+ yoga regularly. I really liked the part with adding weight. I have osteoporosis below fracture threshold due to age& made worst by high dose steroids as I have severe Crohn's. Biologic + Yoga + relaxation has helped. I M VERY IMPRESSED WITH YOUR VIDEO. U R DOING A SERVICE.

I just stumbled across this video and love it. When I was 32 I started having issues with my spine, disc at first then vertebrae. 17yrs later I had 6 bulging disc 1 torn 14 vertebrae crumbling that we new of. They only offered me fusion which I refuse to do. I asked why can't I have another type of procedure they finally tell me my bones are bad, I ask why. So they did the bone density test. I have ostopenia which shouldn't be a surprise ive been allergic to milk since birth. A few weeks ago along the top of my left side of hip bone from spine out pain shot down the bone. Second day went around the back into the hip area by day 5 I couldn't step with out horrible intense pain, finally I went to the ER. The bone shifted mm. They gave me 10 exercise / stretches to do. I'm so glad to see there's more I can do. I'm only 50 I break the bones in my feet and toes all the time. This is something I can do to help myself get my bones stronger. Thanks

Her voice is so soothing-she could do ASMR. I just had a DEXA scan which revealed bilateral hip osteoporosis the extent of which I will discuss with my endocrinologist next week. These exercises, along with necessary meds, will be most useful. Thank you!
Thank you so very much for sharing these exercises ... I had an compression fracture of my L1 three years ago and a compression fracture of my L3 in March 2021... I want to strengthen my bones with exercise and these exercises have made me aware of my weaknesses and how and what to work on.... I'm so grateful....

I am a 66 year old man and suffering with pain in my right hip when I sit and at times it goes down to the side of my leg. Which exercise would be best for this?
Very grateful for these 26 exercise for Osteoporosis ! I do exercise daily & some these are familiar, but will add the others plus small weights. New dx: piriforms syndrome over, but now : Osteoporosis starting in L3 Osteopenia in Hips I have been in pain & getting stuck! I actually teach senior fitness & was a PT but sometimes the teacher needs a new teacher !

THANK YOU❤. I lead an exercise program 3 days a week in my senior building. It's just half an hour doing this kind of stuff. 😂 people here are so weak some have to use a roller walker or have a caregiver every day of the week. Some have such poor cardio they're sweating profusely after just very mild exercise. I'm focusing on strength building using compound movements-wall pushups and chair squats. I appreciate the other exercises shown here. ❤❤❤

Thank you so much for posting this helpful video. In addition to this instructional video, it would be nice to have a 30 minute workout with these exercises to follow each day without the introductory commentary. In other words, a video we can follow that would give us this complete workout in 30 minutes or so.

Wonderful, simplified, orderly exercises. I m 68 yrs old & do most of these + other exercises+ yoga regularly. I really liked the part with adding weight. I have osteoporosis below fracture threshold due to age& made worst by high dose steroids as I have severe Crohn's. Biologic + Yoga + relaxation has helped. I M VERY IMPRESSED WITH YOUR VIDEO. U R DOING A SERVICE.

I just stumbled across this video and love it. When I was 32 I started having issues with my spine, disc at first then vertebrae. 17yrs later I had 6 bulging disc 1 torn 14 vertebrae crumbling that we new of. They only offered me fusion which I refuse to do. I asked why can't I have another type of procedure they finally tell me my bones are bad, I ask why. So they did the bone density test. I have ostopenia which shouldn't be a surprise ive been allergic to milk since birth. A few weeks ago along the top of my left side of hip bone from spine out pain shot down the bone. Second day went around the back into the hip area by day 5 I couldn't step with out horrible intense pain, finally I went to the ER. The bone shifted mm. They gave me 10 exercise / stretches to do. I'm so glad to see there's more I can do. I'm only 50 I break the bones in my feet and toes all the time. This is something I can do to help myself get my bones stronger. Thanks

Her voice is so soothing-she could do ASMR. I just had a DEXA scan which revealed bilateral hip osteoporosis the extent of which I will discuss with my endocrinologist next week. These exercises, along with necessary meds, will be most useful. Thank you!

THANK YOU❤. I lead an exercise program 3 days a week in my senior building. It's just half an hour doing this kind of stuff. 😂 people here are so weak some have to use a roller walker or have a caregiver every day of the week. Some have such poor cardio they're sweating profusely after just very mild exercise. I'm focusing on strength building using compound movements-wall pushups and chair squats. I appreciate the other exercises shown here. ❤❤❤
