This is the pure definition of "What is the UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE of PLANET EARTH?" ......MUSIC, MUSIC & MUSIC!!! THIS HERE RENDITION of AWB's "PICK UP THE PIECES" was STRAIGHT-UP INSAAAANE!!! I Luv'd ever second of this INCREDIBLE, DYNAMIC & AWESOME performance put forth here!!! They HORNS....omg...them HORNS were freakin' GREAT!!! From the sweet tones put forth by the soprano saxist, the alto saxist's scale climbs & the tenor on the far right's beautiful rhythmic & staccato play was intense & soooo enjoyable! Bassist carried the bottom in sync adding that right interplay with the drummer's syncopatic bass pedal & snare play hits & rolls............& lets not forget the rhythm guitarist & keyboardist adding that right amount of "spice and flavor" to the overall perf. I AM SOLD & NOW A SUBSCRIBER /FOLLOWER for you guys are FANTASTIC!!! I don't see ASIAN WOMEN MUSICIANS, I SEE & HEAR AN ABSOLUTE TEAM OF HI'LY TALENTED ARTISTS, that I HOPE 1 DAY will schedule a performance in NYC - cause I'll BE THERE ! From 1 to 5 STAR rating?....I GIVE YOU GUYS 11 STARS!!!! Thank you for this FABULOUS Performance! THANK YOU to the "JAZZ MARVEL AVENGERS"!!!!

Stumbled across these gals and I so fricken enjoyed them playing this AWB gem. Every one of them is so talented but what hooked me was in watching them play, they all so enjoyed the music..what a vibe. Carry on….
Almost 50 years for this fabulous AWB tune, played so expertly by these 8 . Love this tune back in 1974 musicians, love it even more now!

While this tune is a great standard and this band's rendition is commendable ... One would be hard, hard pressed to imagine 1973 AWB headlining a tune from 1923 ...
Ha! still remember when my father brought that album home that night in the mid 70's.
This classic never gets old! It keeps rocking with that same rythym that got my dancing shoes going many years ago when I was young lad flirting with ladies. Oh such great times.

Japan always had a very strong music-caring culture; japanese versions of SACDs were among the most valuable and looked after and I'm talking about western rock/pop/blues artists from Dire Straits to Santana.
The same interest is displayed here: these young and beautiful ladies are making sure the jazz/blues/funk spirit is kept alive and kicking, with all the benefits of 21st century technologies.

Wow. This is the best I have ever heard this song played. Even uptempo, it just grooves so nicely. All the performers' solos are effortless when they play. The joyful energy and smiles of the guitarist and tenor sax player reminds me of Shinobu Kawashima. And as always, Senri is at the top of her game, and another excellent solo from Juna.
