In 1957 both the West End and Sea Beach expresses were extended to 57th Street. 1967-1968 the B only ran to 168th Street during rush hours (6th Avenue Express); all other times except nights and Sundays it terminated at West 4th Street. Nights and Sundays the TT operated.
The 1967-68 service slide is somewhat incorrect. The B only ran to 168th Rush Hours, ran to West 4th Street non rush and Saturday as 57th/6th was still under construction. Believe the TT was an all day Sunday shuttle in addition to late nights.
My memories of the late BMT era (late 50's to Chrystie St) remember all 3 Southern Division BMT expresses terminating at 57th St. I have no memories of seeing 42nd Street used as a terminal, or trains with front destination sighs saying "42nd St". What is the source of your info?
Yeah, on the Q train (formerly QB)
Very well researched!! Thank you!!!

I remember everything on the West End line, from the 1970s to the present.
Thanks for the compliment.
Nice!

I've actually gotten several comments like this, I will have to make a correction. Thank you for the first-hand information.

One question was the background audio recorded at Broadway-Lafayette Street? (B D F M trains)
Yes, it is a busy station and has a variety of car types
West end should be IND (B/D)
It has always been BMT, it just runs IND services via Chrystie Southern.
