  • Caterpillar. It's a big company. But its success comes from the people who call it home. People who take on challenging tasks. People interested in the way the world works, with ideas about making it work better. People who make progress possible for customers and communities around the world. They all have stories. This is one of them.

since I was a kid I´ve been a caterpillar fan, To me CAT means much more than tractors, and I ever dreant about one day being hired by CAT and be able to built those machines I grew up admiring. Now I´m 40 and I finally am a caterpillar employee. tomorrow is going to be my first day there, and I feel just that young guy, I feel like my future is just beginning. respect to every CAT employee and admirer from all over the world.

Caterpillar are the bees knees in earthmoving equipment - we had a 1936 RD-4 Diesel crawler tractor (set up as a dozer) and, as luck would have it, Cat still supported that 70 year old (at the time) machine with factory parts! I'm still in awe of that - it's like Caterpillar never lost touch with it's older machines

Caterpillar sebuah merk yang dekat dengan diriku dan keluarga.
Mendiang bapak ku seorang operator alat berat Caterpillar mulai dari unit lama dan unit terbaru. Beberapa unit yg beliau pernah operasikan contoh nya CAT 621 Wheel scraper, CAT TTT D6D, D6G, D7F, D7G,D8L, D8N, D8R and D9R. CAT WTL 924E, 966E, 966F. CAT TTL 973 & 977. Juga beberapa model paving product serta beberapa tipe motor Grader dan masih banyak varian CAT Lain yg pernah beliau operasi kan.
Beliau selalu bercerita tentang kehandalan unit Caterpillar.

My first Cat was an '85 950B, The bosss' old man bought it new that year, which was the same year I was born. It wasn't the loader I learned to run but it was my first full time machine not working for faimly. 14,000 hours when I got her as a junior in high school, I almost didn't graduate because I skiped so much school to go to the pit and feed the crusher with it. Loved that loader, no radio, no ac but it was mine and boy did she dig!

I have about 14 years and thousands of hours in Caterpillar equipment and I can honestly say that Cat equipment is the best there is. As for the people here who like to badmouth Cat, figure out what GFY and FOAD stand for, then do it.

vary informative video,,i liked it. I used to go to cat out here to purchase die cast models but haven't done that now for awhile,,I saw a cat D10 as it was called on here with an offset cab where the driver was located,,behind it on the body was a 5th wheel set up for pulling a scraper trailer which was attached to it..the scraper had only rear wheels,no front ones..i have been looking for it on here but have not seen it since...it was awesome.

I work for CAT in Pontiac Illinois and it is disappointing and sad to see how, such a multi billion dollar, little they care about their production plants. This plant is about 44 year old and IT LOOKS like a 44 year old plant!!!. They are still using the same equipment and tools they were using when they opened up this plant back in 1978!. Organization is nowhere to find and communication among departments is clocking late every day!. NOTHING to be proud of.

SteelJunky quite the contrary. Caterpillar has contributed to the conservation movement in many areas. In just about every mining operation you see, caterpillar was there cleaning up the mess left behind by the strip miners. They have contributed to reforestation operations. Unless you know your facts, don’t run your mouth!
