Anyone having issues with the DVD drive removal - he does this off camera - you flip the laptop upside down so that you are looking at the bottom. Then go to the battery bay. Near where the silver screw was you should see a portion of the DVD drive (its kind-of angled). You can take a screw driver (Phillips head) or flat metal tool like he has and push it out with a like strength. Easiest way to do this.
Take it slow, don’t miss any screws. The actual backplate removal was really the only scary part, but once it get started it pops out pretty easy. Don’t forget to thread the ribbon cable back through the frame first before you put the backplate back on!
This is a crazy ordeal to go through to upgrade the RAM. On the dvd removal, there's a piece of metal that shows at a 45 degree angle in the battery compartment; once all the screws are removed you push that piece of metal with a screwdriver per the instructions molded into the plastic.
can we change its 3558 processor ? by using hot gun or any other components because my processor became very very slow. after opening any app sudden it is not responding and after few seconds again work and this repeats continusly.

Just curious. Why does the keyboard need to be removed before replacing/adding RAM or the HD? I am sure there is a reason but from the video seems like simply removing the back cover would expose the pieces needed to replace. Thanks. Very helpful break-down video.

You really need to keep the work in front of the camera. It's not helpful if no one can see what to do. Not sure how to remove the DVD, you can not just pull it out as it is connected with a tape strip.

yes you can do that. Installe a 9.5 MM caddy and also buy a sata 3 ssd...they will work like a charm.
