I missed the Premiere but watched later & really enjoyed your commitment to El Salvador & their people. Do you still remember not to eat street food before a bus ride? 🙂 Trash Collection is a important part of cultural development. We even have it here twice a week where I live. 🙂 Great interaction with the folks in the street market. I enjoyed the video and starting to wonder if you will ever come back to the good old US of A. 🙂

I remember watching a Philly dom beach video a few months before before covid hit. Respect.
Love this video! I’ve only spent an hour or so in Atiquizaya, or however it’s spelled. Lovely. Remolacha is beets and it looks like they boiled them which is why you were able to bite through it. Otherwise it’s as hard as jicama. Beet juice is great, mixed with other fruits, etc. Chopped or julienned beets are so good in salads, etc. Beware though, once beets make it through your digestive tract your poop and pee may be bright red, so don’t get scared. I freak out to this day every time I have beets lol

Saw your atiquizaya video. Awesome. May I recommend my late grandmother hometown of San lorenzo which is about 15 minutes from atiquizaya on a tuk tuk. Is a sleepy town but they are the loroco and jocote capital of el salvador. They have a couple of cantones called el conacaste which were most of the farming is done and el potrilio which a river crosses thru it. There is a bridge that crosses the river to a un manned border entrance to Guatemala. Nearby atiquizaya there is a hot spring called el Salto de malacatuipan which is amazing...I have family members that live in san lorenzo can show you around or you can venture out...glad you are visiting western el salvador
