Enjoy your trip. I moved to Guatemala because the people are so fun. They are warm, caring and generous. I live with my best friends (Guatemalans) in a community of dirt floor huts. Poor though they are, they share what little they have. Every time I travel by what gringos call chicken buses, retrofitted US school buses that they use for cheap mass transport, I chat with fellow passengers and they always want to exchange info; they contact me the next day and invite me to visit. I've traveled the west coast and never needed to stay in a hotel... I stay with new friends who become life-long friends. What a wonderful culture.

thank you so much I am from Antigua, but have been more than 15 years leaving out of my beautifull town, all the turist say the same, we ANTIGUA people are so so friendly. This video is amazing, I could feel the sound, the smell and the people, i have been more than 1000 times in that market, did not realice how beautifull it is until you live in another country
There was a remote town at the base of a volcano, far from Antigua but you have to goto the town hall and let the leadership know that you are there and register. In that area, every corner has a military person standing guard and the town center was like a complete paradise. Absolutely no foreigners, just local/natives with traditional clothes - so colorful. I been to many places around the world but that place was remarkable how pristine and beautiful it was, - simply untouched by modern world. I had a top of the line DSLR, gopro and drone and I didn't even take a single photo - it made absolute no sense to. If I ever go back there, I simply want to observe from far away.

This is what I love about latinamerica....you can flirt with women; they flirt with you and no one gets bent out of shape. In America if you tried flirting like that the women would get all up in your face or they would be offended or would call you a male chauvinist.
