Sometimes we people think how we would be or act in their positions (presidents or kings) It's not an easy task, the responsibilities they carry, ... The word قطع (qataa) in the quran didn't come to mean cut with a sharp object. Rather, it came in the meaning of stop or cutting ties. In The quran when the meaning require a sharp object use it was with شده (shada) on the ط (ta) to sound (qattaa). From that the punishment is to find away to stop them.
For thousand of years until today Christianity have no solution for social and moral problem such as drug, alcohol, prostitution, gambling, pornography, lgbtq and many more bad practices. This is what happened in El Salvadore...

It's actually not our concern at all, the way Bukele is treating his country, we are not in a position that our words could have an impact.
Bukele is an excellent president, sees an issues and tackles the issues, Allah swt gave him that position to clean up that mess.
Bukele is a wise and intelligent men, way of his thinking and approach to the issues they ware facing in Al Savador, he knows very well how to act upon those criminals.
Ofc its possible that mistakes are made, leaders are human too, but like I said before, it's not easy for a leader to make choices and carry the responsability.
We, as citizens, our concern is ourself, how we behave against presidents and leaders, how we are against other people, don't expect others to behave in a way we would like, but to have a good character ourselfs, and look at our own deeds, our own responsabilities. We are in no position to give feedback about worldleaders and to think that they could do it in another way...

May Allah guide you, my brother, for your beautiful words and way of presenting Islam. I have one comment about the punishment of thiefs in Islam. The word قطع (qataa) in the quran didn't come to mean cut with a sharp object. Rather, it came in the meaning of stop or cutting ties. In The quran when the meaning require a sharp object use it was with شده (shada) on the ط (ta) to sound (qattaa). From that the punishment is to find away to stop them.
