When force is used, the amount of resistance becomes even greater. The problem does not always start at home. Those who chose to cause a problem, did so of their own free will. No parent or guardian told their kids to fight in school or on school property.
Let the student body vote on who to kick out of school permanently. Top 10 with a GPA less than a C average expelled immediately. The good students are the ones missing out and being ripped off the most.

Many kids in Youngstown earn their first criminal charge before they earn their high school diploma. And a lot of it has to do with upbringing and influences around them. Bad behavior is learned, not inherited. You don't just come out of the womb and decide you're going to live a certain way.

I attended Youngstown State U in the 70s and had some friends who went to East. This breaks my heart.
The class President has more sense than most of the parents.
I really hope she's gone on to live a good life, and has been able to inspire those in her community. Because kids in Youngstown need someone with a positive attitude and outlook like her, if they're not getting it at home.
