Everyone suggesting that I should be contacting eBay - I truly believe it is pointless. 2 years ago when they restricted me for those expiration dates on 0 quantity listings... they (my ebay concierge rep) informed me that once an account is scheduled to be restricted there is nothing that can be done. I would be interested to see if ANY eBay seller has ever had their account scheduled for restriction and was actually able to reverse the decision and prevent suspension. Please let me know because I've never seen a unicorn before!
Probably not eBay themselves, but I can see someone trolling and reporting the item to eBay. That would answer the "coincidence". Totally had that happen.
I too have an eBay account and after 24 years selling on the platform at 100% feedback. A recent buyer gave negative feedback and my rating dropped to 75% and remains there. You got lucky.
The only thing that I can think that may have triggered the ban was having international shipping on the product? A lot of those type products can't be shipped to international countries because they do consider them "prescription" strength. I had the SAME thing happen awhile ago when I was dabbling in HBA products because I was offering the Global Shipping Program at the time.
You appear to be a fighter. So FIGHT! After I took a more aggressive approach to issues like this, I have been able to successfully protect my account, 100% of the time. This includes the removal of unwarranted negative feedbacks recently. The children that are currently running operations at ebay, can easily be put in their place. Facts do matter, and they will eventually back down. Keep making your case if you don't succeed at first. There are still many loopholes in ebay policies. You may need to utilize them also, when making your case.
@5797029 I had a buyer claim I sold them fake Teva sandals. I provided proof they were not fake. Ebay said it was the buyers right to give their opinion. When I said the review was actionable in court against the buyer, they said they'd be willing to provide the necessary documentation from their end. I fought hard on it and they still refused to remove the feedback
I made the decision to leave eBay about 20 years ago. I was an original, when the platform was first started, seller. I left when this kind of nonsense first started happening, long before the Louis Vuitton lawsuit, long before the craziness went next level the first time. I no longer shop on eBay when previously it was my first go-to to buy anything. Just can't support the platform and the random craziness it brings. Life is short, make happy choices.
I hated selling on eBay. Unlike you, I found the site more work than the profit potential. I am sure you can make money on FB marketplace and your new venture. I really don't like giving money to companies that don't give a damn about their sellers. It's bad business. Good luck!

That's what they want you to do. If a company is abusing policies people need to speak out. Not be afraid of a corporation is going to come after them. Which in itself is illegal...
I believe it comes down to policy. Whether its a gel or not, if the level of pain relief is above a certain amount of milligrams, it can be considered prescription strength. I'm sure most people have heard the term prescription strength in all sorts of items. I understand it can be frustrating & I can tell you don't agree with it. If you haven't violated policy, fight it. As far as the last suspension, I get why you thought it easier to keep the listing with zero available, but that violated policy. They must've notified you when they were taking down your listings. After so many removed, they will suspend. If you choose to ignore the strength of the items you are listing, it will happen again. As will the expired listings. That hasn't happened again so I'm assuming you took care not to repeat that mistake. It seems to me its as simple as policy. You'll figure it out, you overcome many obstacles. You've got this!
We are ready to pull our eBay store of over 20 years as well. It’s just become an absolute nightmare trying to sell on that platform with the ridiculous things. eBay is doing now not to mention the continuing rise in postage prices. We are not a large business and cannot afford free shipping on many items like these big box and big site sellers do so that leaves us with only one option which is to just shut down.
I keep shipping on my orders and it just seems as the rates are climbing sales are slowing. I don’t want to quit reselling so I’ll stay on other platforms. eBay isn’t the only game in town

Yeah, I’m with you about eBay not using common sense about issues. I have an item that states on the bottle that it’s FDA exempt. However, they keep removing my listing because no FDA number is provided. I have pointed this out to them but didn’t help any.
@@knis2me2 it doesn’t have one because it’s not required to have one. However, this item is being sold on eBay with over 100 listings at this time. So it’s not just a move on situation. It plainly states on the bottle “ exempt from FDA”. So they allow chemicals that are toxic enough to require a FDA number but not one that is exempt. But when you finally get a human being on the phone to speak with, they don’t have the common sense to understand this.

eBay put out an update not too long ago regarding negative feedback removal, I'm not sure if you/others have heard. The system is supposed to be improved, no longer denying EVERYONE no matter the reason. I'm sure the seller complaints to eBay broke records! Just wanted to put this out there. This is more in regards to your last video about feedback removal.
Not fighting this means next time you will be punished more severely. If the item was not prescription then it is easy to ask why they think it is prescription. If it says RX anywhere in the pictures then eBay’s AI sees that and automatically labels it as prescription.
Last time I tried to fight it they wouldn't do anything. Rules are tighter now. No point in my opinion. Especially given how I'm about ready to leave the platform over all this
They did this to me with Differin gel. They said it's prescription but it's not. The rep said anything I've 0.1% adaptaline is prescription but it says it's only 0.1%. They agreed that it's not over but I still lost the appeal😒 needless to say, there are hundreds of other listings up!

Absolutely true. I use voltaren personally. The stuff works! I would never ever sell it. Gotta watch the ingredients and what people are rubbing into their skin - this isn’t a vitamin. I gotta side with eBay on this. I’m pretty sure eBay could care less about your videos.

If you get swept up in one you will get screwed. Nothing you can do . I no longer sell Health and Beauty items and transitioning from ebay overall.

I love your videos I been watching since a long time. I believe n this is my opinion it could be because some medication that’s over the counter is prescribed by dr. My husband went to the dr n was prescribed arthritis medicine when I went to Walmart to get it. The employee told me you can get this over the counter. I think that could be the reason.
That's why I keep it simple and avoid selling anything that could be considered health related, could get recalled, anything related to babies, topicals, anything edible, etc. (Basically anything that goes ON or IN your body!)

At first when this video popped up in my feed, I thought I’d already watched it. That one from a while back. Then, I realized eBay did it again to Lindey and this is a new video. I guess the point is, it’s way too easy to trigger eBay restrictions when selling dated HBA and OTC pharmacy items. It seems the point here is to not sell those items on eBay. Find another less touchy platform and sell them there. Stick to non-dated, non-pharmacy related good on eBay.
Despite what you say you should always call eBay and discuss the situation. I usually get good results from them. Not always but they do listen and sometimes you get a very good customer service person that is willing to help you out…

This is unfortunate. However, it's really important to have open communication with eBay and any other platform that you sell on. Especially if you are trying to understand their policies. This could have been just a customer service error, a computer generated decision. Sometimes, we need to step back and separate personal feelings from business decisions. Choosing not to contact them only hurts your business. A simple phone call could change things in your favor. Good luck.
What good is communication with a platform when their representatives can lie to you without any repercussions. It's happened to me several times. I have gone from over a 1000 items to less than 200. Soon to be none. Screw them.
Last time my account was restricted for a BS reason they wouldn't do anything and I had 100% feedback and 17 years on the platform at the time. I also have ebay concierge so that's the highest level of customer service available to sellers. Didn't do any good. They won't reverse anything. Hence why I said I am ultimately done with this platform. Too many shady hoops to jump through
I have no issue following policies but it's hard to follow them when you don't know what they are. Now you have AI pulling down items that don't violate policies, Veros from brands that aren't even on ebay's list, and other similar inconsistencies, it's impossible to figure out what the policies actually are.
If you made a boo boo, fine. But you shouldn't whine over it steady here. It makes you look bad over something that is small. Just got to be careful on exp date.

Weirdly enough I recieved a vero when I listed something I, then deleted the item off eBay. Item nowhere to be seen and eBay still gave me vero?

Ebay took down my Airborne listings as being prescription items. Same with Nadinola fade cream. UGH!

Arthritis gel have inflammation reducers and can have pain relieving ingredients. I only use them. I never ever try to sell them.
This is unfortunate. However, it's really important to have open communication with eBay and any other platform that you sell on. Especially if you are trying to understand their policies. This could have been just a customer service error, a computer generated decision. Sometimes, we need to step back and separate personal feelings from business decisions. Choosing not to contact them only hurts your business. A simple phone call could change things in your favor. Good luck.
What good is communication with a platform when their representatives can lie to you without any repercussions. It's happened to me several times. I have gone from over a 1000 items to less than 200. Soon to be none. Screw them.
How do you contact eBay? Even their customer service dept is a 3rd party contractor.
Last time my account was restricted for a BS reason they wouldn't do anything and I had 100% feedback and 17 years on the platform at the time. I also have ebay concierge so that's the highest level of customer service available to sellers. Didn't do any good. They won't reverse anything. Hence why I said I am ultimately done with this platform. Too many shady hoops to jump through

I have no issue following policies but it's hard to follow them when you don't know what they are. Now you have AI pulling down items that don't violate policies, Veros from brands that aren't even on ebay's list, and other similar inconsistencies, it's impossible to figure out what the policies actually are.

While most comments here will be negative towards Ebay, i will say ive has a great year so far selling on the platform.
My sales have grown 40% on Ebay this year but I still think they have tons of issues and problems. It is my least favorite platform.

No doubt there are jealous people reporting to Ebay. Ebay seems to less popular these past years with some many other platforms out there.
