Good video.. thanks for sharing a look at install on I beam. Doing mine nest week. Regarding the clearannce for inside bolt.... maybe the "standard install" on instructions, pg 1 was the best route? Don't use spacer bar on outside of bumper and push bracket back flush to bumper. Leaves room for 3rd bolt drilling on beam.
I was just thinking that, I think I screwed it up. thanks for the comment I may need to take another stab at this
that spacer is actually used in the back of the bracket. You don't break it off you leave it on, to give you room to drill the holes on the back side. I saw it on another video just a FYI. Thanks for the video though. Not sure if it would have helped in your application. I did just order this myself today.
thanks for that I didn't read the directions clearly. I screwed it up a little.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm browsing to get ideas to mod my bumper. This looks good so far.
You can buy a flex extension for your drill
STILL A GREAT VIDEO BECAUSE PEOPLE LEARNED HOW TO DO IT DIFFERANT. THANK YOU
Thanks for watching!
You can buy a foot long drillbit or even longer
I had the same issue but then used a longer drill bit and driver.
As well as I can see your frame I don't think you needed to use the spacer. Other videos they just slide the bracket back until it is against the bumper.
yeah I screwed this up and did not install it right
So idk if anyone said it but if you don't put the small bracket in and slide it back after breaking it off you should have room
yep I screwed up.
@@JUSTTRYITDIY I wouldn't say you screwed up...idk wtf the extra bracket is for...like y even send it??
If you hadn't removed that piece it probably would have moved the hole back further and you could have drilled it
yes you are correct, I have learned that now.
You should of used the hole to the right of that one!
Mine actually arrived already separated
well that doesn't help. I have been thinking I will take them off weld them back together and reinstall
@@JUSTTRYITDIY as long as it's holding up I wouldn't...but Iif u are competent on your welds than I probably would have welded it in the first place...I can gorilla weld...ugly but strong but I don't own a welder...just at work
Link doesn't work.
your right, I got a new link posted. looks.like the ones that I bought before are not available anymore. thanks for letting me know
