The biggest problem with building an Awd Acura RSX is once you install the Bolt on Rear rear diff mounts, you end up with nowhere to put the fuel tank other than putting a fuel cell in the hatch, but that also complicates things when you try to get groceries or take it to the track because you need to build a custom firewall - all these problems are solved by the boys at True Focus Fabrication. They Came in 3D Scanned the car and made a custom fuel cell using a Deatschwerks Fuel Cell surge tank!

I love that with this tank, you’re able to retain the full boot (trunk) without having fuel cells in there impeding your daily usage of a normal car.
As mentioned by commentors below, there are other options. But Trevor chose this route to work with True Focus Fab to help them grow their business.
The other options are nearly impossible. That ferio gas tank is never for sale in easily importable countries. If Japan had it available it would be easy. But it’s nearly impossible from my research to get it from Russia. I’ve been looking for months.
Just wow, there work is amazing… I hope they get more support from other channels as well, that is some top notch fabrication and technology

Im using the early 2000's AWD civic ferio Gas tank.. Bolt up and fits perfectly to the RSX. Even the Fuel tank regulator and all the fittings are the same.

@@flrekreeper7635 about what? Its an EU and JDM awd civic variant. Its fuel tank fits the RSX perfectly, has all the same locations and fittings, and, allows passage for AWD. You will likely have to order it directly from Japan, Russia, or China tho..
@@JonHop1 on how you find them and does the fuel pump collet match the rsx
My biggest question is will the production fuel cell if available have a oem pump option
@@flrekreeper7635 yes it does.. Its a perfect fit. All fitting and fuel pump location are the same.. Just search the awd civic ferio from the early 2000's.. Most of them are in China and Russia tho.. So just make sure you order from a reputable dealer. Because of trade issues, my neighbor had to use a middle man, that shipped it from Russia to China, then to the US. It wasnt that expensive, and for him, it was worth it. It did take 3 weeks to ship total.
This fuel cell is awesome! Please have them make this into product. I’m converting my rsx and this is better than using a small 8 gallon fuel cell under the hatch
With final assembly I would do some rubber insulation between the body and the fuel cell and only thing I would be skeptical about is if that driveshaft breaks at the rear differential it's gonna destroy that fuel cell
its hard to break the driveshaft on these fwd biased setups that have a viscous coupler
Could probably whip up a sheet steel guard that mounts to that steel bracket they added for the fuel cell.

Yes its gonna need baffles to prevent fuel slosh idk why u dont just go with a radium fuel cell that will fit right in just like that racing channel used on their AWD Rsx

@@CraaaigV302 I dont know why people use fuel cells when u can pretty easily get the 2000 Civic Ferio Fuel tank, which is OEM and bolts right in.. Yeah, u have to order from China/Russia, but its relatively cheap compared to getting a Fuel Cell or a custom one. I think I spent $90 on shipping and $60 for the fuel tank.

@@scf1jeffrey Whats your point? Are you saying that using a custom made fuel cell is better than using an OEM fuel tank made specifically for AWD Honda's? I dont know about you, but if you are actually going to drive your car a lot, like I do(I daily mine), its a lot safer and more convenient to be running an OEM fuel tank.

Smacking the tank incase of any failures
nutserts for a fuel tank. sketch. Should weld an aluminum plate around the rin to add some thinkness. tap and helicoild the threads for strength. Added thickness would have fixed the hanger length.
