Just post content … it doesn’t have to be a build going the perfect way and on schedule. The ups and downs with your car builds shows this is a real channel! Just keep wrenching and we’ll keep watching!
Trev, grab a spark plug wire out in your junkyard off of something like a Miata. Shove one end in the COP and the other on the spark plug, attach the timing light and it'll fire - provided everything else is working correctly. I've done it this way since I converted to COP's years ago. It definitely won't fire with the TPS at 100% like you were saying, since it'll go into flood clear.
I have feeling this a new give away vehicle I don’t see your need to have two all-wheel-drive Hondas but this one will have you making a lot of entries
Harness could be the problem. Look at your wiring for the crank sensor. It is different depending on the chassis its meant for. Get a type s specific harness and go from there. I went cheap on mine twice before getting a reputable one. I should have just spent the $$ instead of hunting down pin locations to still spend the $$.
Yeah i was afraid of that, I think ill end up usign the stock one or doing a ktuned tucked one if i can get it quick. This was a harness we bought when we were toying with the idea of the twin engine swapped civic
Man I wish I lived near trev, I would hang out and help for free. Sign me up, I have such huge respect for the small RUclips guys. Trev works hard, I respect the hustle.
I bought what looks to be the same loom and had the same pin problems. What I figured out was the power and earth wires aren't big enough to supply power to ecu coils and injectors all at once. My injectors wouldn't fire and coils were weak when cranking but would clutch start first pop. I changed the power supply wire which fixed it but I lost a lot of trust in it and just repinned my factory wiring to suit ecu which fixed all the little niggly problems.
You really need to have a extra laptop charger at the shop for reasons like this laptops should always stay plug in no matter “how good your battery is”
@@Just_In_credible6 same here man i know nothing about these car stuff im more of a computer guy minior things but seeing what happen with his laptop im like oh nooo
And this is why you don't go cheap on a harness. Imagine if this video was just you plugging it in and being able to start it and tune it. That would be a lot better to watch.
Trevor can make anything work. After I saw the video where they put the 2j in the newer mustang and got everything working, I am confident that he can wire pretty much anything.
I kinda enjoy watching them struggle just like everyone does building a car. Not everyone can afford some top dollar parts, just like how someone building their first car might not know and get the cheaper harness and struggle too. And seeing "professionals" who make a living doing that thing you struggle with can help alot of people get through that situation. Especially if they're teaching you how to trouble shoot various problems and explain it. Even if it's not 100% accurate.
I may need to start taking walks in front of Trevy's shop now.
haha we had a job posting!
Rsx content keep it coming
We will!
I'm really digging the lofi music in the videos 👍
the OL on the multimeter means Open Loop 👍
I thought it meant overload😅😅 over loop definitely sounds more correct
*Oh Lord

love to see the progress, it always takes a while to get parts for a special build

How can I get work done by your shop?
Aaaayyyee I see you Trevor, doing the hammer method on them PTFE lines.
Sucks when you hit it too hard and a collet goes flying though lol
Sometimes the plan dosent work, but keep working it and it will.

What's the deal with the 335D? Do you still have it?
Yeah it’s being silly
I'm still waiting on that 335d content, so is the rest of the world.

It's stand alone ECU. Won't have it
U ever installed coilovers before. Oh yeah lol 🤜👍
Damn wish you did a "how to". I have dw relay kit I have to wire
It’s simple! They send some good instructions with it, or are you wanting to learn how to wire it to be triggered by the ecu
You need teach Ricer Miata how to weld.
As long as he is teachable
@MotionAutoTv Spoiler, he is not. LOL

Good advice. I try not to overcharge mine. But yea it is nice to have a full battery if something happens like I lose power or whatever.
