My laptop did not have the choose an efi file option, so here is a fix.
Boot to grub, then type these command:
ls (to show your your disk partitions)
    set root=(hd0,gptX)
"(where your installation file is stored)"
ls (hd0,gptX)/efi/boot/ press tab to complete and show you the files.
    Then type:
    chain loader /efi/boot/grubx64.efi
    Then:
    Boot
If you don't understand the commands above, just Google "how to boot from USB in grub" and use the same procedure but choose the partitionwhere you burned the iso .
    Wish you well.
    Adios!

i might be 9 months late, **BUT don't worry, I got your back!!**
in the uui folder, extract the iso file and just move all of the new files to the root folder
THEN, when you restart your laptop/desktop and get into the "boot from efi file" option, choose the one that starts with **UUI** (other ones will **NOT** work)
then, go to "/efi/boot/" and you'll find a boot.efi file.
      **You're welcome!**

Press F8, enter the boot menu afterwards see If windows boot manager is there, Click on it and If you always wanna boot In windows again, Enter BIOS > BOOT > And set the priority of windows boot manager to max, else if there is a Linux one, boot from it.

Cant get it to work for LMDE6 Debian Mint
It does not see the disk/volumes, also not after using Launch GParted tab during install process
Maybe that is bcs ut restarts in/falls back on Legacy mode, after attempting in vain EFI mode, leaving the disk unmounted somehow

this is not a good format for explanatory videos, to be honest, - when there is a lot of things happening and not much explanation about what you are doing and why. when somebody is doing the voice over himself the talking happens naturally, but when one creates text, and then asks Voice Over app to do the voice over for him then there is not much explanation. Conclusion, even if you use voice over soft you should feed it with more text. . Just advise.

I tried installing Linux Mint and got a "Failed to unmount partitions" error.
It says: "The installer needs to commit changes to partition tables, but cannot do so because partitions on the following mount points could not be unmounted:
    /cdrom
Please close any applications using these mount points.
Would you like the installer to try to unmount these partitions again?"
Then it gives me two options: "Go back" and "Continue". Neither of them do anything. Pls help!
