      I gave your video a thumbs down, because you are using artificial voice, which is very annoying, if you can't speak the language use a buddy that does or pay someone, also because people are asking questions and you do not reply, I will definitely will not recommend your channel

    Well done ! Thank you.
    I found this answer to making grub menu display at boot:
    "Menu will appear if you press and hold Shift during loading Grub, if you boot using BIOS. When your system boots using UEFI, press Esc.
    For permanent change you'll need to edit your /etc/default/grub file:
    Place a # symbol at the start of line GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0 to comment it out. If that line doesn't exist, then you can comment out this line instead: # GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden, and then change GRUB_TIMEOUT=0 to GRUB_TIMEOUT=5, for instance, to give the grub menu a 5 second timeout before it automatically logs you in.
    Save changes and run sudo update-grub to apply changes."

It was successful but landed up in another problem. I have two Ubuntu installation; one on SSD and another on HDD (asked to select one during boot up). I choose HDD to install windows. I did partition HDD & installed windows on that particular partition. On restart windows is getting loaded & Ubuntu on HDD seems to have erased(not sure). We found UEFI entry of SSD in boot order is erased (which existed earlier) but that of HDD exist(in BIOS). How do we update grub to generate UEFI(as shown from 7:02) so that we get initial entry to choose SSD Ubuntu or Windows. I am able to get into grub prompt. Can update grub be done at grub prompt(as shown from 7:02)? if so what command. Appreciate your help.

    @TechIN Need your help..
    I have a surface pro 3.
    I have Ubuntu 20.04 installed on it.
    I have a bootable Ubuntu 20.04 USB stick
    I have prepared a bootable win 10 iso usb stick (4gb ntfs) exactly as per your video.
    When I try to enter grub menu, it does not show me any option to install windows 10 from the usb stick.. Pls let me know what is the issue? I need windows 10 back.
    Its almost been a week now😢, it's just doesn't want to detect win 10 usb

    • @TechINtn
      @TechINtn  3 года назад

      you must boot on the usb drive to install windows 10. check the button on your keyboard you should hold it to get the boot menu. it dosen't appear on the grub menu.

      @@TechINtn yes bro, even i suspected same. So i burned Ubuntu on it. Ubuntu booted successfully. Earlier it had also booted linux mint successfully. But problem is windows!
      I had also flashed chrome OS (rammus bin, brunch framework) via linux mint on my SP3. Could this be the problem?

      Hi, just wanted to update you how i booted into windows 10 installer, FINALLY!
      I used a tool called ventoy, which creates a boot partition in the flash drive.
      While booting, bootloader boots into ventoy own boot menu.
      From there you can select windows installer boot option. This is the only way it worked for me.

      If you are installed on uefi mode restart your PC, in boot menu you can select ubuntu and repair the grub menu.
      Or you can watch this video descripe how to repair grub: ruclips.net/video/aiPZrHDKePg/видео.html

    I keep getting missing media drivers after pressing Install Now. Ive tried plenty of solutions with no luck. 1. Using the setup trouble shoot command prompt to create the partition. 2. Manually add the driver executable from Asus(im using the b350PLUS) but im guessing those files have to run from within windows itself. and even messing around with the bios settings with no luck. Forgot to mention im running Ubuntu 22.04 not sure how different the process is if at all.
