the Palworld devs could potentially and definitely should use the fact that Nintendo only patented the mechanics they are getting sued over AFTER Palworld had already released, potentially getting the case thrown out and the patents denied/revoked
I really like what they did with Palworld - the game is a breath of fresh air compared to the same old stale Pokémon gameplay that Nintendo has been pumping out for years. Especially the last few games were pretty bad, especially Scarlet and Violet. Full of glitches, bugs, Pokémon stuck inside walls, models t posing, slow asset loading, falling through the floor multiple times and so on. I am aware Palworld has a few of these but Pokémon is literally made by a multi billion studio that has been making the games for over 30 years and they should know how to not include glitches like that in a game when they ask for that much money on release. Also, the graphics look really flat and bland. I literally play a MOBILE PHONE jrpg that has better graphics, on my phone. Seriously, even the world is more expensive and you can see farther than Pokémon. You can travel between the different zones freely and can even teleport unlike when in Arceus you had to return to Jubilife to go to another area.
First: throwing "balls" to summon creatur for battle is some kind of bullshit. Ark do it so go nintendo and try sue ark. And riding on creatures? Go sue ark and every jrpg on this Planet with mounts.
@@Qqq3qqq Lol we are here talking about creativity, when palworld 1:1 copied Pokemon and gameplay from Ark survival. If you're creative, then make your own sh*t.
@@crowned67 ark and palword are inspired by other games.. if we can't grab inspiration from other sources due to copyright/patents then so many music, movies. games, art. etc wouldn't exist... and thats my problem. palworld did not copy pokemon 1:1... it isn't that simple.
the problem is that you shouldn't be allowed to trademark/patent something if other games are already making use of similar ideas, even if you were the first one to use it, the moment another game uses an idea and you haven't already trademarked/patented said idea then the window to do so is closed, so if you don't want other people stealing your game mechanic then you gotta trademark/patent it THE MOMENT you come up with it, don't wait until a thousand other games are using it just so you can use it as a bullcrap excuse to get the other games delisted and shutdown
@@Qqq3qqq I meant like Pokemon designs and inspiration is one thing and copying is other. It's like that "Copy my homework but change it a bit" meme. If you're truly want to make unique game then come up with your own ideas. It was like quick cash grab with two popular genre mixed in one.

Pokemon doesn't own a monster catching theme. It's like fortnite sueing apex legends for stealing battle royal theme.
Actually it's Fortnite with Pokemon
Actually it's Fortnite in the world of Elden Ring with Pokemon

trademarking and patenting mechanics is like trademarking patenting dance moves. Shouldn't happen. If it does.... then its gg for creativity.
