This is incredible. I know this synth so well, and I appreciate how much work you've done to make it sound so good. You found so many excellent sounds from such a simple instrument, but I always knew they were there, waiting for someone with your skill to show us. It's a rich, musical tone, not a wild machine.
Impressed by your composition, soundshaping in patchmaking and live control not to mention soundmixing. Without being restrained by what so many who excell in technical discipline lack: conveying emotions fluidly. I have no @$ clue to how you managed to sync those many, many tracks. It's a monosynth, and so many sounds evolve sonically over longer periods of time so time correction is hell with no room for flawed playing and every 3 finger chord takes 3 seperately recorded tracks: probably the reason it resembles a CS80's poly aftertouch sound. Hats off. I was really hoping to find a video that demonstrates the external input, preferrably using a guitar for a carrier as well as other synths like Eno did with "Heroes". This video made me even more curious: sharp as the modulations go, they never lose musicality while your aim was to exibit the synth's extremes as well. There's a good one for sale nearby. The question is: do I want it or just what you made it sound like?
Thank you for this fantastic comment! CV and gate control helps a lot in making recordings perfectly syncing over time. But indeed, it’s tricky composing and arranging with just one monosynth without patch memory. Playing chords means recording / layering each note in the chord, but I find this technique often rewarding, as the result is different than playing chords on a polysynth. Hadn’t thought about using the external audio input. In fact, I don’t know if I’ve ever done that with the 60F. Brian Eno, by the way, is one of my big inspirations. Especially his collaboration with Harmonia is interesting in this respect. Without that experience, I believe, Bowie’s Berlin albums would not have existed. If you are looking for processing your guitar with a synth, I’m not sure if I would recommend the 60F, but rather a Korg MS-20 or a Roland SH-09. Both have an envelope follower, which leads to the filter responding to the dynamic of your guitar playing.
Thanks Microslav! And thanks for mentioning Kosmischer Läufer! I didn’t know them but it is absolutely fantastic music!!!! Do you know which synths they used?
Again, thank you so much for pointing me towards Kosmischer Läufer. Have been listening non-stop since. I understand your association with my 60F track now.
Great Envelope Generators. It's a high end Synthesizer. Brilliant sounding Machine. Warm, rich and musically. A ribbon controller would have been perfection.
As other have said; you've done a wonderful job of showing off this machine's seemingly very overlooked capabilities. Of course, as a fellow owner of a 60f, I'm under no illusions as to the skill that is required to be able to coax such beautiful and musical sounds out of it. The greatest compliment I can pay you is that this comes a close second to SyntheticMachines 60f demo. Oh and it appears that you have a wonderful collection of synths and not all of them the obvious headturners!
@@rimela You're very welcome. I only pay compliments when I mean them. I was meaning to ask you; if for some horribly unimaginable reason you could only keep one of your incredible synth arsenal, which one would it be?
@@MisAnnThorpe Wow, this is the hardest question in life 😄 If I could at least keep a poly and a mono I think I would survive. And those would be Jupiter-6 and MS-10. Anyway that’s my thought at the moment, but this might change. Objectively, there are better or more versatile ones than these, but I just love them.
@@edgardvera3132 That's unfortunate Edgard as I'm in London. Not entirely sure I'd be especially eager to get the 60f if I owned the 100f but perhaps you know better than me.
Not stalking your channel at all but what IF. Teisco 60F and Akai AX80 paired. Use the Tesico for the mids and hi end and the ax 80 for the bass and lows? The 60F is so dang bright! It reminds me of playing an old game as a kid or something. In a good way, like not throwing the controller. I was up late looking for the next cool thing on YT and here we are again!
@@rimela Yo I cant wait to hear what you make! So cool! I made a smol progress learning the MC-707. It can run multi-fx for 2 synths in stereo per track. Layering the AX80 and JX8P sounds insane! If you have some midi I could try to make the uber pad/strings or whatever with both of thoes.
Yes all sounds are from the 60F, including drums. How to make drum sounds? Well, on the Teisco, for snares/hihats you use noise (in the mixer) as your only sound source. Shape the filter with the envelope. For hihats use the HPF as well. For kick (and toms) use the VCO (either SAW or SQUARE wave). Set VCO range to 64 (toms 32). Use the envelope both on filter and pitch. Attack is 0, short Decay time, Sustain is 0, Release is 0 or short. These settings should get you started. The Teisco is really good for drums because of the snappy envelope. Basically every synth with a fast envelope can be used for making drum sounds.
I would the expect the 110f to sound far better and cover much more ground than the 60f, but the fact is I don't have a 110f and never played one unfortunately......
Sounds good, looks good. But the highlights of this video are your compositions and arrangements. The last piece is *so* beautiful!
You are too kind! Thank you so much!
You are a great composer and arranger of electronic music!!! You are the very best!! I like!
Amazing synth sound and super recording!!
Thank you very much Claudio!

This demo is really cool and complete

This synth sounds really good. Very underrated
Sounds lovely, somewhere inbetween 70's and 80's.
I love my 60, so underrated
Beautiful compositions. First one reminds me a lot of Kosmischer Läufer which I love so much.

The 60f sounds fabulous, but apart from that I really enjoy the music! you should release this for sure.
Thank you Gilwe! The track is on my Bandcamp.

Great sounding synth and very underrated, like your music too.
Cheers!
Thanks Carlos!
I miss my 60F that got stolen : (

Brilliant

Now I have to go and see where I can find one to buy.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. That would make a nice combination, I think. I'll consider doing that. What would you suggest for drums?

Impossible… this can’t be just the Teisco 60F
Well, it actually is. Multilayers of course and I also used a sequencer, but all you hear comes from the 60F.

do you use compression?
Yes, I do all processing in Ableton Live, no plugins, just the standard compressor, EQ, delay en reverb. On the mix I use multiband compression.
reminds me of Mort Garson
Thanks Bush Mann, I wasn't aware of Mort Garson, but thanks to your comment now I am. Great stuff!
