    I do actually use a very similar bin for flip storage for my stamps, dies and embossing folders. And will probably change over to this storage for my stencils as well. I love it! I don’t use it for paper. I have my paper on a “bookshelf” labeled by categories and I have at least 50!😱 But I’m able to quickly find the category I want as they are filed in alphabetical order and I keep a card listing all categories in front of the first one. I bought my bins at Walmart many years ago for $5 each. They are now only costing $5.88! They work fantastic and I haven’t had to replace any or had any other issues.

    Love ‘flip storage’ for everything flat from stamps to paper to embossing folders to ephemera to scraps...I love the beautiful paperboard boxes at Michaels and JoAnn so was thrilled that they work for flip systems, including my 12 x 12 paper. The sides are as sturdy as plastic and the size and style vary so it can be customized to the size of the product being flipped. I sometimes remove the hinged lid if the design I love is in that style and I want an open box. Thank you for all your legwork on resources - that’s a lot of time.

      Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. I did think about possibly using something like that but when I found something that was the right size, it had the hinged lid. Did it damage the box much by taking the lid off?

    I have a couple of Drona Fabric Bins from IKEA. I store all of my 12x12 paper in them. I have them set up like file drawers with the loose paper categorized by type, color & pattern. In the second one I have the collections sorted and kept in their original plastic sleeves or in the thin plastic 12x12 paper files. They work great, they are very sturdy and make it easy to see what I have.

    Karen , I use the 31bags for card stock. The desk I use has an open area on the floor by my chair ( use to be a computer desk) anyway 2 of them fit perfectly in the space. They fit long ways. I put white and black in one and color in the other. So, it is close and pulls out easily enough to get what I need. I like your idea for the flip storage. I don't have a place where it would work though. I also like using the 31 bag for thickers , I am like you , think they work better on their side so you can see them. I just have mine in a plastic bin.

      Arlinda .. thanks so much for taking the time to leave me this comment. I think that's a great idea to put these on the floor close to where you are working. I find that if I put paper or cardstock in the 31 bin and and then store it in my Kallax, it's so heavy trying to get it off and on the shelf. I also do have one of my 31 bins inside a 31 Deluxe Utility Tote and that makes an really great travel bag when I go to a friend's house to do some scrapbooking.

    I store my Thickers on their sides in a bin from Walmart. Couldn’t find a picture but they are 16 7/8” long x 11 1/2”wide x 5 7/8” high. It’s just a clear bin. I don’t use the lid. This is very easy to flip through and I have really been loving it. The length allows you to leave them in their original packaging if you choose and not have to bend the tops.

      Hi Melodee ... thanks for the idea of using the cart. I have a couple of raskog carts but they are already full of other stuff. I checked the link and the reason that it's not working because they appear to have sold out of the half bins :( It looks like all they have left are the 13x13x13 bins and the 10.5x10.5x11 bins. I searched on Amazon and Google and can't find it being sold anywhere else online. I picked up my Waverly half bin a few weeks ago at Tuesday Morning so if you have a Tuesday Morning, you may be able it there.

    • @YesPleasePapercrafts
      @YesPleasePapercrafts  4 года назад +1

      Hi Pat … Thanks for your ideas!!!
      That would be a good solution to use the Waverly collapsible bin but I'm using that for Flip Bin storage for my paper and I haven't been able to find another one at TM and Amazon is now sold out. The Meori Foldable Box is a little too high to store the thickers on their sides. I've been trying out some other bins and boxes for my thickers as well as some drawer units but I haven't decided yet. I'll be sharing all the things I tried and what I ended up doing in an upcoming video.
      Which Michael's drawers are you using? I checked on their site but couldn't figure out which drawer unit it is. Could you tell me the name of the one the one you have? I would like to include as many different options for thicker storage as I can in my video. Would you be ok with me sharing our thicker storage drawer idea in my video?

      Hi Charlene ... I did think about making something, but didn't come up with any ideas for something that would be easy to make and sturdy enough to hold paper. Sorry for any confusion but after I posted my comment below, I noticed the website says the basket is 11" but mine is 12.5. But again, I purchased them in the store so maybe they're carrying more sizes in the store than online.

    • @YesPleasePapercrafts
      @YesPleasePapercrafts  4 года назад

      Hi Diane … it's not you … Target online is confusing. I've had similar experience trying to figure out which bin to order. I love the Y-weave bins and I have a few different sizes including the medium and half-medium but not sure if I've ever tried the thickers in that medium bin. I think that how Target has the dimensions listed is confusing because it's showing the medium size is 5"x12" but below that they actually have the dimensions listed as 5.25 inches (H) x 11.5 inches (W) x 13.88 inches (D). The Half bin is there on Target as well … here's the link to that one … www.target.com/p/y-weave-1-2-medium-rectangle-storage-bin-room-essentials-153/-/A-52649009 I sure wish Target would make it easier to determine what bins they have and what colors. I've also seen where they have separate listings for the same bin but in different colors and then they will have a listing for a bin which has the choice where you select the color … it's all very confusing.

      @dianeshaw2433 4 года назад
