I absolutely love organization videos...especially for crafts because there are so many different sized objects in crafting, which can make it tricky to organize and manage. I don't know if it's just my perfectionism or what but if my area isn't tidy for crafting and I can't find supplies, i waste time trying to find the materials and by then my energy is sorta gone and I end up procrastinating . So yes please make more videos.😊😊😊😊

Good morning Karen. I appreciate you taking the time to show various options. It's most helpful to see what does and does not work in your space because many of us may or may not have some of the same storage units. Regardless of what storage spaces we have, we are all looking for smart solutions to save our supplies so they are more readily available and usable. Your video also shows the costs of various storage organization solutions, which is also helpful. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences. I can only wish that I had a room like yours...it's awesome!

I was wondering if I should include prices in my videos. I only wish that I could make all the things I share in my videos available to everyone at a reasonable price ... but it's difficult since we don't all have access to the same stores. I think it's so frustrating to see something in Tuesday Morning at one price and then find it on Amazon for triple or quadruple the price.
@@YesPleasePapercrafts Noting the price you paid for something let's me know if it's something I'm interested in looking into further or how much I'm willing to pay for an item. It is most helpful. I see a lot of stuff for sale on eBay and even Amazon that I KNOW I can get at a better price by going to the makers website or doing a little more searching. Have a wonderful weekend Karen.

It can be a lot of work but I do enjoy it and I usually find it a lot of fun but I think I got a little frustrated with this particular video because it required a lot more editing with all the many video clips to put together. I'm pretty new to video editing so as I do each video I learn something new ... hopefully, things will continue to get easier as I make more videos.
I use a malm dresser from ikea for thickers. It is also great for 6x6 paper pads.
Hi Denise ... thanks so much for sharing!!! I had never heard of the Malm dresser and so I had to go look for it on Ikea ... now I want one (lol ... unfortunately, I have no where to put it). That looks like a great option for storing larger items that won't fit in the Alex drawers or the Storage cube drawer units.
I am the most critical person around and I believe your video was one of the best done for organization that I have watched. You really went the extra mile to try out a lot of products. And you helped with your reasoning. I have a lot of Thirty One bags and love a lot of them. Haven’t tried the one in the video. Just loved. The pictures of those two young ladies in the pretty dresses. Thank you for sharing.

The Fold N'File is a really awesome bin for a lot of things including 12x12 chipboard, paper, page kits. I've been thinking about what to do with my empty bins and I'm thinking I might try storing rolls of vinyl. I think it's a very versatile bin to have 😁

I am definitely having fun making the videos ... it is work but it's also fun. I think I was just a little frustrated with this video after I spent several days editing (partly because the editing software was giving me bug splats and because I was splicing together so many video clips) and then while I was editing I started wondering if people would really be interested in seeing different options. Bella was SO over me and that dress!!! She's so funny about wearing anything ... even sweaters. I still remember my Mom and I laughing so hard,we couldn't breathe the first time I ever put a sweater on Bella when she was about 6 months old. I put the sweater on her and she just stood like a statue with her eyes really wide ... she wouldn't move until I took the sweater off. So, yeah, she hates clothes ... and she only had that dress on for about 10 minutes and she was not happy!!!

Like you, organizing my stash is as much fun as using it! I love all things with paper, scissors, and glue and have for many, many years! I'm in the process of moving my craft room to another room in the house so a lot of organizing and purging is taking place. I love storage videos. I also store my thickers in the poly bags, and then store them vertically in wide magazine holders. Thank you for all the great ideas.

Hi Sherri ... Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment and let me know that you like this type of video. I don't have access to an Ikea anymore. I used to live very close to Houston, TX and it was so awesome to just pop in to Ikea and look around at all the awesome things that they have there. I moved back to Louisiana in 2015 and only get to go to Ikea when I visit my sister in Texas. I do still order things from Ikea online and the shipping costs have gotten a lot more reasonable in recent years.

I wanted to tell you that like another girl commented, I have my letter stickers and thickers in 6 x 12 poly bags because thickers sometimes fall off and I don’t want to loose them. Well, I did the disc process and used the bags! I took some card stock and cut it in 6x12 and glued the bags to it. One on each side!!! I left enough room on the card stock that the punched side sticks out enough for the discs !!! I love it!!!
That's an awesome idea!!! it sounds like that would be a great way to store your thickers. Now, I'm very curious to how that would work. How many packs of thickers fit on the discs? Are you putting them in a bin to flip through or using it like a book? Can you tell how excited I am about your idea ... since I'm firing questions at you (I hope you don't mind). Hi Melodee … I love using Thickers on my scrapbook layouts and its funny to me that as many as I have, I still sometimes have trouble finding the right color for my project. I do have a lot of thickers thanks to Tuesday Morning, JoAnn's 80% off sticker, Hobby Lobby's 75% off clearance and now Dollar Tree. lol ... as I have been organizing each type of item in my craft room, I'm finding the things that I have the biggest problems saying no to when I'm shopping. There are certain things that I just love including paper, washi tape, paper clips and thickers. And, thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a comment. This is my third time watching. Definitely helpful.
I love your organization videos, especially when you tell us what packages you used prior to how you currently have them. I think it helps take some of the pressure out of organizing because someone might have the items you shared but not others and so they won’t feel like they have to go buy something because that’s how you(or anyone else) did it. I do not have a lot of thickers(like 4 or 5 packs) so some of your earlier options would work better,for me, than your final set up. But I would have to watch a ton of videos to find that out, or just one, with a format like yours.

It does help to hear this because I was really wondering if this type of video was something that people wanted to see or if they just wanted to see the end result. I do worry sometimes about showing things in my videos that people may not have, may not be able to purchase or may be too expensive for them to purchase. It's a little frustrating to find something you really like and then find it that it is no longer being sold but I'm hoping that by sharing a lot of different options, that whoever is watching can find something that works for them.

I watched every minute and liked the thoroughness of your organization process. But, gosh, it cost me a lot of money as I had to stop to go to Walmart to buy the cube dividers. Actually I’m tickled to have found out about these! P.S. I always tell my daughter that my grandpup, Lola, hates wearing dresses! She does look very cute, though!
Hi Sharon ... Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a comment. I'm so happy that Walmart is still selling the cube dividers and that you were able to find them ... I found these last year and ordered a couple hoping they would work in my Kallax ... and they are awesome!!! You do lose a little space in the cube but they are very sturdy and help you to use your Kallax to store shorter items. Yep, I can tell instantly that Bella hates wearing clothes because she will give me a dirty look, put her back to me and then look over her shoulder to see if I notice that's she's ignoring me, and then throw herself to the floor and start pouting. But LilyBelle will prance around the house or run away if I try to take the dress off so I can tell she really loves wearing them.
Yes Please Papercrafts Oh yes they have very distinct personalities! Our grand pup, Esteban, before Ms. Lola (both 5# long haired chihuahuas), might as well have talked he could get his point across so well. Many a time I was treated to his backside as he would look over his shoulder to be sure I was aware of his total annoyance with me!

You are definitely thorough...but I have never even heard of “Thickers” before. Being a card crafter I guess that’s not too surprising. Love all you white storage!! Mine is mostly white also.
Hi Cheri .... thanks so much for taking the time to leave me this comment. I never really thought about someone watching my video and not knowing what thickers were but that makes sense to me now that you mention it … I was a cardmaking for many years before switching back to scrapbooking a few years ago and at that time I had not heard of thickers either. The term thickers originally came from the foam and chipboard alpha stickers sold by American Crafts and it's kind of turned into a term that people use when talking about super dimensional alpha stickers. Now, they also have thickers that are phrases and images. I think the alpha thickers would probably only be useful for scrapbooking because they are so large but the phrase and image thickers could also be used for cardmaking. Thickers are now one of my favorite things to use when scrapbooking 😁

Thank you, Karen. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to show the different storage options and which option that you're using. If I had more room, I'd put mine in drawers, but I don't have room for another piece of furniture. Thickers also work well in the large Iris deep bins too and I have a couple of the black wide plastic magazine holders; but am trying the Totally Tiffany 6x12 Supply fab file (works great for flat stickers) and I can get about 20 in them, but can't flip through them, but if sorted by color/category it may work well.

I would never have thought to use magazine holders and I've heard of the Totally Tiffany Fab Files but I've never tried them. I put my alphas in my cart top this wk. I’m looking for a 3 tiers file box, like you have shown, for my chip board 12x12 and 6 x12. That looked so easy to move from storage to craft table, as well as sturdy storage. Thx for the ideas.

I think I like to have so many options because I'm a little bit (ok, maybe a lot) of a perfectionist. LOL ... then when Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's has thickers for around $1, they are very difficult to pass up. You mentioned that I showed a "3 tiers file box" and I'm trying to figure out which container that was.. Did I show it in this video?

Thanks Karen for sharing all your ideas, they're awesome. I found that when my Thickers have stuck together I use some Un-Do and you can separate them without damage and when it dries the stickiness of the sticker remains. Hope that can help you if you run into that. 😊

Love this type of video especially showing different options. Love your little girls, adorable! On another note, I also love your floor, would you mind sharing what wood it is or if it is one of the new materials. I have luxury vinyl planks in my kitchen and it is very hard to tell it isn't wood.

My floor is a laminate flooring called the St. James Collection Weather Beaten Oak. It's been discontinued and I do love the flooring but if I had to buy a new floor today, I would probably go with a vinyl that looks like wood. They have really improved the look of the vinyl plank floors and they are so much more durable then laminate.

Hi Glorie ... I think the bins you are talking about are the Essentials Plastic Fridge Storage Bins from Dollar Tree. You can fit 4 of the fridge bins in the Raskog Cart from Ikea. I use the Target Y weave baskets for my thickers and love it. Also Target sells a shelf that is the same dimensions as a kallax unit but can have a shelf in the middle to allow for two baskets.

I can relate to thinkers falling off. I did just order the long baggies as in your video. Of course I don’t own near what you do in thickers
Isn't that so frustrating that they fall off the backing. Sometimes it makes you wonder why they are stickers at all because you have to add glue to most of them to get them to stick on your project.
