I have never bought dawn dish soap, except for the power wash stuff... but for the drizzle I have always purchased the generic at Sam's Club or Costco. Have always had great outcomes. Thanks for this video and I absolutely love your answers to those questions that were pretty ridiculous. You always crack me up. Thanks for this video.
Your videos are all so great! Information packed and so funny. Loved your giggly camera person as well as the crazy background noise… 🤣 Thank you for what you are providing and hopefully what we do is providing for you!
I’ve wanted to try this technique for a while now. It looks super cool. These colors are beautiful and after the dish soap the tumblers remind me of the 90s. I’m digging it.
Love your videos. Tfs. Just wanted to let you know after watching your video I painted 5 tumblers I had messed up (another story), and am going to get some neon paints and do this! Yay me! I was hesitant to try it but you explain so well I thought I can do this. I even painted an ombré tumbler….not perfect but looks ok. 😊. Thanks for sharing your videos!
Typically if I have a question I scroll through the comments to see if anybody has asked it before for that very reason! Thank you for all your phenomenal videos!
I've found that is you keep your dish soap in the fridge, that they all work good and hold the shape on the cup. Especially when you are in garage in summer
That rainbow base is so pretty. I'd love to see you try some of the suggestions from the previous video. Also if there is more than one brand of the foam one? We generally can't get the power wash stuff here in Aus so seeing variations on that would be great
First thank you for showing me the tape you use on you Amazon store. I don't have to clean the inside of my tumbles anymore 😁. How do you spray that many colors so easy without messing it up.
Love this technique on these cups, they came out so pretty I have to say I never tried maki g a tumbler with fish soap Dawn, but I have a question? Before putting the Dish soap on the cup n turning was the paint on the tumblers dry or wet? Ty in advance, any information will be greatly appreciated
In Australia I use fairy platinum dish liquid as we don’t have dawn dish soap lol like so many products we always have to find alternatives we get the same effects thanks for sharing DCA entertained as always 🤣
I prefer using Dawn over other product names, it tends to give the best sharper look when sprayed over n then rinsed off. As always keep up the great videos & tips...until next tyme...keep those cre8ive juices abrewing!!!
Here's my thought it'll be a good idea as possibly trying some wax to drip and pour down it wouldn't be as easy to come off you would have to heat it up a little bit but you could let it dry and then just heat it up and watch the wax melt off and create unique drips and runs and stuff like that we also say my woman makes tumblers as well but I'm not allowed to play but I plan on playing anyway lol
I tried a dish soap that was cheaper than Ajax. Lol. Only a sugared up toddler can move fast enough to spray and rinse!! Still looking for something to do with it. While watching this video, thought about adding cornstarch to see what happens? Slower drip. Spray, rinse. Think I will try it.
Had to come back for the follow-up even though I knew the answer, I said try the experiment I did with getting the top off the foam bottle and try the spray paint, I guarantee YOU will have fun.
Hmm, I never though about it, but you are like the 3rd or 4th person from this video to mention my spray painting. I do have a video on my channel from about 2 years ago where I spray paint a picture on a bus.
Why don’t u put a tray underneath when u r dripping the liquid soap. Then it won’t make a mess and u could pour back into bottle and save waste and money?
Yes do it but add water to it or use the Ajax to see if it swirls. Buuttttt use different color combos please ... Do a pastel rainbow and white spray paint over
Not all Dawn (or generic) soaps are DISH soaps. Some of them say they are hand soap if you read the label. That may be where some confusion comes from.
😆... ( JUST A SARCASTIC RESPONSE TO THE 6:01 & 6:08 MARK, IN THE VIDEO)... Maybe, everything ELSE, with the EXCEPTION of sexual, intimate moments... 😆🤫
How long do you have to wait before you rinse it off? 🤭🫣 Does my soap have to be blue? I mean, I like the pink ones. Can I use that instead? Can my base coat be a little wet? I am sometimes in a hurry and like to take short cuts 😉 😂 My name is typically "aunt lala the drunken TROLL". 😂
I love how ADHD you are because I am too. Makes me feel like we're friends. 😂
LOL, how could you tell!?
nicccceeeeeee! not that I needed to watch this video, but I get a laugh and that's just as important.
I seek to entertain and bring joy with every video!🙌
Just adore you. Thank you for making learning fun!

lol, thanks!
Your dish soap tumblers gave me some inspiration for the paint job on my dirt track race car for this coming season
Ooh swwet!! I wanna see! Send me a pic to my Instagram
Thank you for that comparison. I've wondered about this before. NOW I KNOW.
SAME!
These colors, 😮 omg they are gorgeous!!!
Thanks!

Thank you so much, and the camera lady will be staring in my vext vid!
Also those tumblers are amazing just painted the way they are. So clean and pristine
Thank you!
I’m so jealous of your spray paint collection… that was a great spray pain session!!! Holy moly no drips !!!
lol thanks!
Super satisfying rainbow spray paint bit! Thank you!
Thanks!
Oooo try the Ajax around the rim as a drip cup.
I actually think I am going to do a cup upside down and pour it on the bottom and let it run over the sides and then spray!
@@DuncanCustomAirbrush I can’t wait to see all the creations that come from your discovery!

Absolutely!🤙
I ran out of dawn so I used Palmolive from dollar tree and it worked!
That rainbow spray tho...*chef's kiss*
💯👌
Beautiful paint job as usual. Can’t wait to try this. Loved the giggles from your daughter in the background 😁
LOL, thanks! Tag me if you post it on Instagram!

Love your video’s funny my first time watching you🤪🤪🤪🤪
Welcome!!
I bet the Ajax would do good with the spinning one you did
Ya know, I was thinking the same thing!
Thanks for sharing. Love the ombré paint work. Love the tumbler!!!
Thank you!
Love this video lol and YES, YES,YES, I would LOVE to see some of the "suggestions" or ideas
You missed the Palmolive with hand softener 🤣🤣 jk . Thanks for experimenting for us. Love your camera person and home sounds 🤣🤣
I love Dawn!! Thanks for doing this video!
My pleasure!
I hope you and the family is ok my friend it's been a minute. Glad to see an upload 👍 much love ❤️
Thanks! Did you see my video I put out last week?
Amazing!!! Increíble!!!
Great video!
Thanks Justin!
I've found that is you keep your dish soap in the fridge, that they all work good and hold the shape on the cup. Especially when you are in garage in summer
Ahhh, great tip!
I predict Dawn dish soap will work the best… but that each still works mostly. 🤩😃
100%!
Awesome vids man!!
Thanks!
I want to try a reverse of this. Like a black cup, add colors and spray with white so you think that will work?
Yeah, I have to think about it to get your vision of how to do it, but I'm sure it will work
Do you have to use spray paint with gloss in it? Like can you use “flat” spray paint?
I prefer the flat, of matte as it is also called, but some colors only come gloss
Do you sand the tumbler before you spray it and how long do it cure for
Awesome video. I'm a new subscriber. I didn't ask any of those questions but thanks for answering them even the common sense ones lol
I really never mind any questions. Truly the only dumb ones are the ones you don't ask or even try to seek the answer
Will this same concept work on clothes and shoes
That rainbow base is so pretty. I'd love to see you try some of the suggestions from the previous video. Also if there is more than one brand of the foam one? We generally can't get the power wash stuff here in Aus so seeing variations on that would be great
Hmmm, I need to put out a questionnaire to see if anyone knows of a Powerwash alternative
That would be awesome :)
could you use a heat gun to push the dawn into different shapes before you sprayed them black?
First thank you for showing me the tape you use on you Amazon store. I don't have to clean the inside of my tumbles anymore 😁. How do you spray that many colors so easy without messing it up.
One and two have my vote but, like you mentioned, you can hide the parts Ajax messed up with a decal of some sort. Love your channel!
100%!
would mod podge work as a replacement for epoxy?
Possibly, but not as well
Do you paint your tumbler white or do you buy them like that
I like to buy them that way, but if not, I typically prep them and base them white
The rainbow fade base was dry
Where do you get your tumblers from?
Steel Magnolia Co - I have a link and discount code in the video description👍

How long do u let it dry before u rinse the dawn soap off?
I’m only 2 hours from you, do you ever do classes?
I have not, but am not opposed
@@DuncanCustomAirbrush I'm pretty close, too. I have thought often about asking if I could just come hang out:)

What about shampoo or body wash? Different viscosities would be interesting.
good questions!

can you send me a message on Instagram and explain so I might can try
In the spirit of being cost effective, maybe save the smaller empty detergent bottle and full with the large economy less expensive ? Easier on hands?
good thoughts
We’re you a graffiti artist when you were younger? Because holy cow you have amazing control of your paint colors.

My hypothesis is that there will be no difference between blue and green, but the orange will not create definite lines.
You would be correct!
