the sff community's goat finally moves to ryzen
At this point it would be a crime not to switch..
@@optimumtech i love your videos man. unlike some other “quirky” youtubers you dont clickbait with extreme raging titles and annoying segways. keep up the good work, cheers from Turkey.
@@optimumtech Switching means a new CPU and a new motherboard which will cost a small fortune. I'd say if your current Intel CPU serves you well enough then don't make the move, otherwise go ahead join team red.
@@ampere7220 Too much clickbait is why I don't watch Linus anymore.
Hey, @@optimumtech!
Thank you for all the work you've always put into your videos! It's much appreciated!
Would you mind quickly help me, please?
(I have a 7L case, I'm using the NH-L12s in the 8700K (4.7GHz all cores @ 1.21) with a Zotac 1080 mini.)
1. If you were thinking to switch from (8700K) to AMD in the mid or end of the next year, would you still invest money in delidding it?
2. Do you think having a delidded CPU can be an obstacle to sell it? (As not many buyers are familiarized with it.)
I'm in Brazil and the prices are approximately ten times more expensive than in the US, so everything must be "exaggeratedly" well thought.
Thank you for all your help and attention!
I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
Have a nice time and stay safe! :)
4.70 Ghz all core OC at sane voltages? Thats HUGE improvement in the OC department over Zen 2. And that's without even factoring in the 19% IPC increase.
on top of that it uses regular 7nm process, maybe if amd wants to do refresh for zen3 when intel launches 11th gen, they can to counter intel.
@@srinathshettigar379 Good point right there
@MrGhost370 no its the same process used in zen2.
I can't figure out how Ali got a stable 4.7Ghz with 1.24V.
My 5900x just wouldn't allow it 😂

"If you are building the fastest gaming machine that you can possibly build today and if you are trying to avoid bottlenecking your GPU at all costs, you're building with an AMD Ryzen CPU." - I bet Lisa Su is smiling right now. They finally did it.
i think they are already optimizing the X version for maybe a release in spring. when intel release in march (the rocket lake ) will give them back to a few fps to be the king again.
Intel looking like it's about to become the budget option for a year or two.
lol, i think that title will still be held by amd with the 3000 parts. not to mention that users will be able to upgrade later on to the 5000 series.

im just viewing for the 5950x release.... and yeah. hes very concise and to the point. I like that. Right to the points.
@Clorox Tree Hello, thank you for your comment. Do you have more sources about the best ram for those new cpu, videos or not ?
@Clorox Tree Thank for this fast responses. I can see that we will have to go for the cl14 once more ^_^.
Hopefully we can go safely beyond 3200mhz cl14 for better results now
I've seen g-skill with some new rams for those cpu, and hope that they wont be average.
I am sharing a channel because he does a lot of rams test, and hopefully you dont already know him. I hope that he will do some updates, soon. ruclips.net/user/HardwareNumb3rsvideos

What did we do to deserve this quality content, jesus
Yeah his content is Jesus
*J* esus
Agreed
Perfect narration, all essential details, visual explanations, charts, solutions and all of it in a 10 minute video. Kudos! 👏👏👏
Man we really don't deserve this quality content. It just improves with every video.
Man the visuals in all of your videos look so crisp!!
Excellent review, love the content. I seriously can’t stop thinking about SFF since starting to watch your content... even the NZXT H210 I bought 2 months ago doesn’t seem small enough
Thank you for including a few snippets of consideration for " production work ". This review is perfectly timed and the entire video is content rich and on the target.
@Optimum Tech I really like your chill videos while as or even more informative as most other tech channels...
Tell me about it. He's the exact contrast of Linus with the screaming right off the top and throughout the video.
Agreed
The best review I've seen so far. Can't wait to see you build a crazy box with it !
I had the 5950x in my cart, shipping and payment info entered, clicking the “place order” button, but couldn’t get it. Now I’m sitting on $3200 of my computer build with no cpu :))))
Should've gone to microcenter. They have stock
lmao
I wouldn't sit on my computer. Doesn't look comfortable.
Why would you ever buy the 5950x absolutely useless.

@valeradrugolega Central American country, but we actually got relatively decent pc market compared to other Latin American countries. There's actual stock of 3070s and ryzen 5000
Great vid mate, made it much clearer!
Your editing and post production quality is insane, it’s always a pleasure to watch one of your videos! 😁
Wonderful video as always. Can’t wait to see these CPU’s in the NCASE M1 and Sidearm T1
AMD bois we made it! HISTORY!
What?
Been waiting all night for this!
Kudos from Canada. This channel has some of the best reviews for this platform.
Awesome review! thanks for putting this together. very happy with my 3900X, maybe in another year ill get a 5900x

Thanks for showing video editing performance. Great detailed review 👍
the review dropped! oh man got your sweet sweet notification
So awesome. V Excite for AMD. I've had all Ryzen generations so far, and it just keeps getting better!
Thanks! Managed to snag mine woo! :)
Looks like only tech channel i open the bell. Thank you Ali.
Would be nice to see some comparisons in the music production DAW's, where cores also matters.
Hey friend just found your videos in the last few months and oh booiiiii and I said I haven't been watching for longer! I just spent all night watching most of your videos, haha(surgery recovery binging).
Your production quality is incredible and better yet you seem like a fantastic dude!
Keep it up!
Imagine being the CEO of Intel right now. T_T
@@Xbui.23 laugh on 5600x lmao
Nothing wrong with being the CEO of Intel. I'm sure i'd have a ton of money on my bank account for the rest of my life. And c`mon. You all act like Intel is dead the second AMD finally has a capable chip out after so long of Intel domination. I work for the largest Datacenter company in Europe, and we are still buying nothing but intel chipped stuff for the foreseeable future on the roadmap. How many laptops are there with Intel ? Yeah a lot. Intel aint going away. Competition is healthy for everyone. So pipe down you all.
@@Xbui.23 and you could spent that $200 for an 360mm AIO or your pc will 💥🔥💥🔥

@@Xbui.23 with much higher power consumption compared to ryzen? yeah sure.
@@Xbui.23 3950x is 2x faster than 10900K on multicore performance and the price difference is much lower than what you said (in Germany 691 EURO vs 718 EURO - only 4%). With that logic you can complain that NVIDIA 3080 is more expensive than 1050 🤦♂️
Great job, Team AMD and amazing video summarizing all the benefits!
Thank you for posting 1440p benchmarks. Wanted to see how much of an improvement you'd see with current gen games, now I'm not too worried about getting the 5900x for awhile since I have a 3600
Nice intro. Your staging / visuals are really pretty.
Ufff!! That slide though..😆😂
Finally looks like we get pretty damn good idle temps too. Gonna be interesting to see what people get with undervolting.
Awesome video once again. 5900X on order. Now I wait to pair it with its GPU cousin.
Quick note on voltages, the SVI2 TFN sensor for core and soc voltages are the best place to get actual load voltages in hwinfo64. They come from an on-die sensor and account/show the losses from the vrm to the cpu. So for instance your manual oc of 4.7GHz is actually at 1.256v under CB load. Your VRM is sending 1.27v but the cpu is getting 15mv average less. This delta tends to get bigger the more aggressive the load. I'd imagine small fft prime95 would see a bigger gap for example.
THAT MY FRIEND WAS A SUPER VIDEO,,,,,,,,DEFINITELY NEEDS MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not surprised. The tables have turned for now. Eventually we’ll be signing the opposite song and I will be there to enjoy it as well. (:
Thank you for doing the 1440 benchmark, I have a Ryzen 3900xt and wanted to see what the difference would be as I game at 1440p and am happy to see it’s not much at all as it’s still pretty much GPU bound at that point! Way to think ahead as a lot of other people on RUclips did not show 1440p just 1080. Thank you!
Thanks for the 1440p results!
The red tube lights were a really nice touch!
Wow waiting for you man !!!love from India
Great review! The only problem with these parts really seems to be price, which will hopefully be more reasonable after 3000 series stock diminishes, as you said.
this guy's video production is way ahead of pretty much all other youtubers , damn
I want to run VMware workstation for my networking labs on my gaming rig. I think these should be an interesting choice for my new build. Thanks for the video!
I really like your quality content ❤️
actually among international channel ryzen 5000 series review, this channel really the best in the term of how to talk, important information, and wide coverage of comparison, but what most important is no clickbait, no cringe talk, it feels like being in class with teacher 😉... keep it up 👍
I just noticed you use a cinematic aspect ratio. Nice. Your image quality has a sharp but still soft quality. The colors are vibrant and creamy. I dunno. Definitely professional looking.
Great review Ali 🇦🇺👍😁 I already pre-ordered my R9 5900x here in Australia 🇦🇺 and this shows my pre-order justified! Going from a X570 mobs w/ a cheaply purchased 2700x to 5900x as 1) unashamedly gaming 😝 and 2) Photo editing & 3) getting into minor video editing for personal/minor professional use. Looking forward to my cpu arriving in the near future 🥰👍. Looking forward to more content. Cheers 🍻
I really hope that the next update on his rig will come out soon. The T1 I ordered will be there in the beginning of next month, till then I want to order all the other parts. The only thing that's missing is the water cooling solution. As he mentioned there are some changes to the pump and the reservior.
Thanks for the Davinci resolve comparison. I’ve been looking for that.
As always a very nice video! I'm sorry if it was said in the video or if there is any comment with the same question, but how high was the frequency on the 10900k in the gaming benchmarks?
excellent work as always ❤️ woulda loved to see an apex legends comparison too 👀
kandyrew love the apex vids mate started watching u when only had 4K subs and look at you now 💯
EY YO WHAT'RE YOU DOIN' HERE. GET BACK IN THE GAME.
Great video had all the info you could ask for. You did however forget one vital question, is it enough to finally make you switch :P (cant wait to see your other content on builds around the new cpus and the gpus)
Thank you for including 1440p comparisons
Thumbs up 👍
Would you mind and put Flight Simulator 2020, into your future benchmark tests?
Man your thumbnails are soooo nice
well it would be nice to be able buy them. Every one of 5950x where bought as soon as it was launched here in Finland
I just recently completed a 5900X build on an X570 Gaming Edge Wifi. Not my favourite board, but performs surprisingly well in this setup. The chip was “gold rated” by Ryzen clock Tuner”…….which I use to find my voltages and overclock limits………then revert to bios overclocking. I too found similar results to this video clocking all core at 4.6 GHz, with a CPU voltage of 1.27…………1.24v under 100% CPU load. It must be noted that this is on air cooling……more specifically an “UpHere CPU Cooler” modified to include 2 fans. I did initially use the Corsair “H100i Pro” fluid cooler but it proved to be insufficient in cooling this processor……….but at a considerably higher voltage (1.32v) utilized before “Ryzen Clock Tuner”. I have yet to test the “H100i” using 1.27v………..so these results are incomplete. Also of note is that I am only using the 8 pin CPU motherboard power. I am NOT using both the 8 and 4 pin for these results. The rig is fully stable under stress testing with a “Seasonic Focus” 550 watt PSU, although I am considering swapping this PSU out for an EVGA 850 watt PSU. If for no other reason than I believe I should have additional headroom should whomever purchases this rig chooses to swap out the 1060 - 6 GB graphics card……………or just to utilize both the 8 and 4 pin CPU power plugs………….thoughts anyone?
I've got my RTX3080, time to buy a Ryzen 5600X and an NR200 and build myself a nice SFF PC.
Just got a 5900X this morning!!! Have it in hand already 😁😁😁
Thank you for Showing 1440p!
5:07 "save the cash"... But not the cache!
Ok that was a terrible joke
Manged to grab a pre-order from Scan, says 20th of Nov, but dont have my hopes up very high.
Will you do an upgrade video on your current setup? Looking forward on your Ryzen build for FormD T1
Hey mate! Love the videos, I just have a very quick question! I have a 5900x on order, a X570 itx on the way and hopefully a big navi 6800xt for Graphics, I have a NCase m1 that just arrived (2 months to get here) and the only part I'm stuck on is a cooler, what should I get?
Great video. What about memory, is FCLK clocking higher with 5000?
I got up at 1am this morning and picked up a 5800x, and while checking out got bombarded by notifications from all the big tech tubers. Can't wait to receive it, I've had the mobo sitting on my desk for 2-3 weeks.
Neat! How do they perform (presumably in Eco Mode) with low profile Air Coolers sized for node 202 and the like?
Hey Ali, will you test the Thermaltake Thoughfans? They seem to be a copy of the noctua nf as, which seems very interesting!
Could you do a video about how to properly set up & OC Ryzen processors? Heard a lot of conflicting info about voltage spiking too high, etc etc, would love a guide
High voltage if just 1 only core active bro for achieving Higher Boost Clock, that's not like bug or something weird.
When All cores active the voltage become dropped down.
Turn off PBO may solved if you don't like it, but for gaming i'd suggested turn on PBO it helps for achieving higher FPS.
Eagerly awaiting the SFF optimized builds with the new AMD 5000 CPU and AMD GPUs... how to get maximum cooling to keep these precious cards from temp throttling. I would think more thermal mass, aka water, with a dual 280 and 240 rads config may do nicely in a NR200 case.
I am convinced to order it. Will you be able lo list a configuration for a powerful destop for architectural purposes with the latest released hardwares.
.. minutes after Launch. Sold out.. argh! Need two of them.. hope they're restocking faster than nVidia :D
Would love to see the i7-10700K in these comparisons (your video isn't the only one to focus on the 10600K and 10900K) as that is the CPU of choice going into my current build-in-progress.
nice explenation at the end ! why does gamers not need higher then 6/8/12 cores does is impact fps with low resolution ?
You can tell Ali is so excited within the first 5 secs
For someone who mostly games and edits videos, I'm still very happy with my 3900X purchase! Now if I can get ahold of a 3080 or 6800 XT...
Yeah thinking of getting a 5900X in a few months to go with the 6900XT Ill be buying
Waiting for your guide on 5800X with some nice Undervolt :)
I'd love some comparisons on what cpu handles a single PC streaming/gaming setup.
Nice video review.
I really wonder if "Rage Mode" will have an effect on temperatures in sff. Hoping to build a "red" sff system in the coming month or two.
just for info, i have almost the same result in vray 32k samples with the TR 2990WX 32 core (64) thread overlocked 4.1 ghz all cores . the 5950x is an absolute monster
It’s even better when we get to combo these new chips with the new rx 6000 gpus
These videos are so pretty - MKBHD of PC Gaming reviews
GN does the dirt and grime detailed reviews, OT does the realistic ideal use case review
Except for the fact that Ali's videos are actually factual and not perceptional
OT does a much better balance of nice visual and the fundamental info we actually want to know.
GN waffles for 30 minutes, so getting the info you need is more difficult and less accessible.
@@rangegod98 Yeah I truly respect GN but I can't actually sit through his videos, too in-depth for me!
@Optimum Tech do you have a video about fitting 5950x + 3080 into NCase M1? I really like SFF but wanna get 5950X next and I really like all your NCase M1 build.
@Optimum Tech, have you seen the Winter One case (sff with dual 280 support and a focus on airflow)? It is most of the way though its kickstarter, but looks like it is struggling. It seems they have been trying to contact you to send a review sample for a while?
