I've been infected with a gut parasite. Kuta, Lombok.

I woke today realizing I'd contracted a gut parasite due to bad stomach cramps and the urgent need to use the toilet. I understood the symptoms as I've had this type of thing numerous times so then self-medicated with a gut paralyzer and commenced doses of the antibiotic metronidazole as I had planned to walk Kuta today.
I first meet a young woman selling durians for 50, 000 rupiah for a small one - I could smell the darn things across the road. I chat briefly with the girl before heading to the beach.
On the beach a group of women wave me over and we have a great time talking about wives, where the women come from, and how they want to work in Australia. One woman was particularly hilarious having us all laughing loudly.
Further into the fishing village i see the biggest marlin I've ever seen laying on the path after one man by himself in a small boat caught the fish on a hand line. I meet and talk with his family who all seem very proud of him.
I also chat with a man while he watches his friends play cards and explains the game. We also talk about the developments in Kuta, Lombok after the arrival of the Moto GP.
There's lots of walking around looking at things and meeting other locals in Lombok.
