Kentucky QB Will Levis
Senior 6’3 232 lbs
Kentucky QB Will Levis made the best move for himself when he transferred from Penn State. The Nittany Lions continued to start Sean Clifford in spite of his struggles & Levis thrived in his first year as a starter. He didn’t quite have the same success in 2022, but he is still considered one of the top QBs in the draft as of right now.

Really good pick
Trash
Since we got him in the 2nd round not bad.
Levis looks like he's got the arm talent. The end zone fade, 50 yard bomb, and back shoulder pass are NFL level plays.
To the raiders
@@joker45usa44 thats what i think too.
Looks like he has Huge arm strength? I don't watch College Ball, but that ball travelled 60 Yards in the air and it didn't even look like he stepped into it. Does this kid have a huge arm? Asking for Justin Jefferson!
Yup
Has the arm but needs a lot of time to learn the game still. Averaged an interception per game and takes too many sacks. Half his highlights are throwing into coverage but...college.
i like that his footwork is consistent in plays where he lofts the ball and where he fires it but i struggle to see him throw a guy open he doesn’t seem to have touch onto his ball to really fit those tighter angles
gives me flashbacks to zach wilson
His footwork is trash, he got happy feet. He needs to build a foundation in his base to build consistency in his accuracy
@@tommyharper126 yeah i mean when he really lofts it his footwork is consistent but any sign of pressure it does break down
@@tommyharper126 His mechanics will be fixed in the NFL. He looks to have all the right tools fundamentally. He just has to be sharpened
Plenty of things are easily fixed at the next lvl. Arm talent is something you're born with. Looks like a NFL QB to me. I doubt he'll be great, but he should be good. Who knows with coaching.
One read in most of these throws. Locks onto a single receiver. Multiple 50/50 balls. Hmmmmm.
They have this guy ranked over Bryce Young they must be out their dam mind
😂😂😂😂 facts
Bryce is undersized and injury prone. Levis arm is stronger. Bigger body nfl ready. Bryce is tua 2.0
@@_gnarkill_7635 😂😂😂😂 and will levis is blaine gabbert 2.0
@@_gnarkill_7635 and how is bryce injury prone? He’s barely missed any games
@@_gnarkill_7635 Nah this bryce guy is Wentz 2.0
When you haven’t been here about 2 years but the intro still the same 🙏🙏🙏
Yeah lol this song is from 2012
Levis has a good arm he's pretty damn accurate ig to me for what i saw here was that he doesn't really do 2nd reads but that can be coached but he pretty much has the whole toolset
That’s the problem there see baby i ain’t you i me 🎶
Love ur grind JBP. don’t quit. all love
will heard
Being a Colts fan, Levis comes up often in draft talk. This was my first exposure to him. After only seeing this, he seems to have the poise and touch and probably the arm strength, but what I didn't see in these highlights was an ability to go through his progressions and improvise. I *think* all of those highlights were passed to his first read.
First look for me too, and I think you're spot on.
Probably the Arm Strength. He has easily the 2nd strongest Arm behind Richardson. Dude has an absolute cannon
He has great arm talent but your review is spot on. His helmet never moves, he's always dialed into the first read. Looks as though he's playing within the system, which is not a bad thing. NFL defenses will force him to work through his progressions a lot more and faster.
@The Londizzle Really glad you guys got Richardson. 👏👏
Could've been the next Andrew luck maybe but they went for a Lamar Jackson type dude🤣 smh
I see the Stafford comparison. Biggest difference is Stafford throws a beautiful deep ball that drops quickly and with accuracy. Levi's throws a deep ball that hangs in the air a bit too long
No comp is perfect but I see it. They both look great when "on" but meh and wonky at times also.
And Levis is way more athletic
Poor comparison. Stafford was all power for the first 10 years of his career and still struggles with over the shoulder throws.
Even in his highlights, Levis can’t give a second look to save his life..
Good observation, he does have tunnel vision. This will have to be coached out of him.
Better than Anthony Richardson can’t wait to see someone waste a 1st round draft pick on him he’s trey lance lite I don’t think he’ll ever be a starter
Saw that. A lot of these highlights would be turnovers in the nfl
Lol, amen. I'm glad you noticed any good safety will pick up on that. He telegraphs his throws
I saw him go through progressions multiple times.. if a receiver is open
Why scan the field
I'm here after the Steelers game....Levis is gonna surprise a lot of people. I saw what this cat can do. #TENNESSEESTUD
Born June 27, 1999. Played high school football for the Xavier Falcons (CT). Played college football first for the Penn State Nittany Lions and then for the Kentucky Wildcats. Drafted #33 overall by the Tennessee Titans.
Dude is gonna be a interception machine
That's what I said when I seen his 44 to 23 int in 2 years
So was Brett your point????
He is already NFl ready. The way he looks off his receivers, and goes right back to them is nice.
@Brandon Marzano Tom Brady, and Dan Marino had the same type of numbers in college. It all depends on who his coach is in the NFL. He has great arm strength. Plus he already knows how to look off his wr's.
Giant bust without a doubt!
He stared down and threw to his first read on literally every play in this highlight even in double coverage. Good luck doing that at the next level
Can he move at all? You have to be mobile at the next level
That can be coached lol
@@Lance37a no he’s not mobile in the slightest
I noticed that as well.
Accurate observation.
He stares down his receivers every time
I love how short this highlight tape is and it includes your 15 second intro. 😂😂😂
This could be that dude that looks better than his draft mates 5 years from now. You never know when a QB like this hooks up with the perfect coaching situation and blossoms. You can definitely tell he cares more about his mechanics than his athletic ability.
Ironic this was my 1st thought. Get this guy with some magical coaching and serious things can happen. I think a good 6 teams are gonna be in play on this guy!
Colts
11 for 23 109yards against Vanderbilt. Them mechanics though
Steelers will pick him if he is still there
I read one scouting report that says he could fit a Sean McVay type offense , where you get the ball out quick.
Hopefully Will Levis will develop quickly with Titans!
This guy is the most NFL ready. His stats are misleading. I hope the Texans draft him. His intelligence is off the charts and he comes from a NFL style offense that played in the SEC
I honestly feel like they will in Texans fans gonna hate the pick I’m not Texans fan but a Kentucky fan in he’s not bad as everyone makes it seem
For Texans tho it’s either him or ar
As a titans fan I’m actually good with it, would love to see him mature and do great. If we would took him in the first round I would have been pissed. I’ll take him in the 2nd though.
As a Titans fan, I'm still pissed. So many needs on the team and we trade up to draft a QB that is very questionable.
This seems more like a WR highlight reel
Not everyone can make those throws bud
@@yungljay3550 he's apparently not 1st round talent...
@@Tr4v3ler you must think Anthony Richardson is
I guess Brees and Brady weren't first round worthy talents. The NFL gets it wrong sometimes. Hell, Dan Marino was almost a second round pick if it wasn't for Donald Shula.
There have never been 4 QBs taken in the top 10. This is the guy I bet falls, and he may be better for it. Falling to a team where he may get to sit for a season or 2 like Seattle or Minnesota might help him more in the long run.
Damn..you know yo football my guy! 👍🏾💯
@@primeup6955 here at the draft and I had no idea it would be that bad lol

In the press conference after day 2 of the draft, the Titans stated Will Levis will be the 3rd QB on the depth chart behind Ryan Tannehill, who they reaffirmed as the starter, and behind Malik Willis, who they reaffirmed as Tannehill’s backup.
I hope he goes to a good staff who can turn him into a gamechanger for years to come. The 'josh allen" treatment, if you will.
His mechanics are something serious he keeps the ball so tight and delivers a flares.
His WR are very talented and all of his passes they’re open like a mf
I think it depends on which coach gets their hands on Levis. Plenty of bozo coaches out there that can screw him up.
Yea I don’t know how people think Anthony Richardson is better he didn’t even throw a td til the 3rd or 4th game of the season lmaooo…… if Levis went to Alabama or Georgia the narrative would be a lot different he has his flaws but the potential is there
what a goated intro
Let’s go titans!! Come on boy
1:50 shows the talent to deliver and stand in there and take a big hit he’s going to be solid and he keeps the ball so tight to his chest don’t have to worry about fumbles You can see he’s good at protecting the ball so I definitely trust him throwing.
Seems as if he is in a simple one read offense, like Hendon Hooker. On the other hand, he can run, and I have seen him leap over people like Josh Allen .. he is a good project with NFL level tools .. hoping he's more Josh Allen and less Sam Darnold.
This guy's is getting destroyed at the next level. He stares down every one of his receivers.
Exactly. A lot of these young cats do. I’m not impressed with this draft class at all really. Short guy looks good but that’s a risk. AR15 barely has any starting experience. Stroud stares people down too.
Tune, he’s my sleeper. Watch the kid blow up. He goes through 3 progressions regularly. I rarely seen him stare down one guy the entire play.

I have this guy 3rd round in my mock draft. Mitch trubisky vibes.

Lol dude what? Like regardless of who you think Levi is he's not going to drop out of the top 10 of the draft and may even go 1st overall so putting him in 3rd is beyond ridiculous. He's also nothing like Trubksky and more like Wentz

Fans really overlook the importance of tools when it comes to drafting a QB. Herbert and Josh Allen weren’t the best in college and were slept on in the draft now look at them
They were both amazing in college, and they were both top 10 draft picks??

He made some nice 😊 throws in the video
Think he may be the Justin Herbert of this draft. Big pocker pass that isnt going to run at first sign of pocket collapsing. Going to watch where ever he goes, good luck Will.

This guy is a linebacker at the QB position!😮
He has a big arm but is he mobile ? Can he escape the pressure and make something happen with his feet ?
This years Zack Wilson
What I got from this video, is that he constantly stares down his receiver before even snapping the ball, and gets very lucky throwing into coverage
Seriously.
This highlight is nothing special. I see a pocket passer, which mobile qp is the new trend.
Exactly, he was already interception prone in college, he will be throwing them like crazy in the NFL with passes like this. This video is supposed to be hos highlights and there are questionable throws throughout
😂😂😂😂 totally diff QB in the NFL
@@SixShotEm_ clearly, he has been pretty good his first 2 games, obviously second game was nothing like the first but that’s all apart of growing as a rookie
The first play, a 50 yard touch pass?? Usually I'd say a school like Kentucky can make an ok QB look like a superstar., But no, this dude is real.

But he still did it. And he lit their defense up like it wasn't even on the field. Nick freaking Foles. If Seattle is smart they are looking at Levis. If for no other reason than the fact that Geno is on the wrong side of 30 . And he is a free agent and is going to want a lot of money. Not sure that's a safe bet.

hes gonna go in the top 10 bro
@@Boringcom-pr4bl i know people think that, but idk how. There's at least 3 QBs better than him this class, and not every team picking inside the top 10 needs a QB. I think Levis can fs slide down the boards and maybe even out the first

Yeah, the Colts need another failed QB and as the guy who hired Jeff Saturday off of TV to be his head coach, Irsay is just dumb enough to do it.
Every single receiver was wide open
just like in stroud and young's highlights
Why is everyone hating on this guy? If the Texans ended up with Will Levis AND Will Anderson, I’d be ecstatic.
Dude looks pedestrian. He seems like another in a long line of prototypical big QB busts. Little mobility, stats are pedestrian on an inferior team, and kind of robotic. He fits the NFL prototype for #1 draft pick bust, Abercrombie & Fitch model looks and linebacker size that’s all it takes to go #1 in the NFL. Josh Allen size, Tom Brady speed/quickness, Carson Wentz football IQ.
I don't believe he's QB1 in this draft. His stats this year are not great. That being said, he might have it easier in the NFL than in college next year. He was throwing under pressure and to smaller windows more than QB's in the NFL do. He wasn't playing with NFL caliber players. I mean he has a cannon of an arm, a quick release, he's big, mobile, he's accurate. I can see the upside here. CJ Stroud was throwing to wide open NFL caliber, top 15 caliber WR's over the past 2 years. The NFL is a whole other breed. He reminds me of a more athletic Matt Stafford. I can see him thriving in Atlanta.
Yup
Facts
Yup they had the worst line in the sec and lost a lost an nfl talent in wandale Robinson so the stats took a hit from his prior year.
The year prior he didn’t do great either tho. He still threw a pick a game and his ability to read a defense and make decisions off of that will need a lot of work for him to be successful
After seeing him this season Im not as big on him
Good pocket passer but I would like to see some mobility
Watch his 2021 Kentucky and Penn State film, the dude is mobile but wasn’t able to showcase it this year
He had a turf toe injury in October. The OC told him to not run outside the pocket bc of it
He is very mobile
He's very mobile. It's one of his best attributes. Played through a foot injury this year with a horrible oline.
He's extremely athletic and mobile. He's more athletic than Stroud
Locks onto his receiver 90% of the time. Will be easy picks for safeties and easy huge hits for linebackers on slants.
I saw 1 play in those highlights where he didn't look at the person he was throwing to the whole time.
All these are 1 read throws though I need to see more
That’s what I’m saying. CJ can move and orchestrate, makes some jaw dropping plays. Nothing on Will drops my jaw at all.

never understood why coach franklin chose clifford over levis. the kid can sling it and is athletic enough to scramble. seeing a common theme with qbs who have a high level baseball background
Makes u wonder cuz Clifford is trash
It’s simple. Levis sucks
Penn State went 10-2 with Clifford who broke school records and led them to a Rose Bowl victory whereas Levis went 7-6 with Kentucky, I think safe to say Franklin made the right choice.
@@jippitycricket yea after 10 years
@@jippitycricket Kentucky is one of the least talented teams in the SEC. Without Levis they're down there with Vandy
Levis is certainly a boom or bust prospect at the games most important position. He lost a lot to the NFL last year (2 OL and 1 WR) and his team isn't very good.
If you put Levis on Alabama, Ohio State, or Georgia then I bet he would have much better numbers. However, that's the concern and why I consider him a boom or bust prospect. Ideally, a QB who's going to be selected in the top 5 should shine no matter where they play, but sometimes that's unfair. I guess time will tell.
If for some crazy reason, he slips into the 2nd round (which probably will NOT happen), then I'd love to see him go to the Lions. He can sit behind Goff and learn from their superstar Offensive Coordinator (if he doesn't become a head coach). Levis to Jamo could be scary good if Levis were to develop.
I don’t see him falling out of the top 6 picks honestly. I think all three of the top QBs go QUICK.

Levis has the strongest arm in the class. Could be one of the best arms in the NFL. However there has been some flaws he has, like most of the 2023 QB class, and on a serious note, NO ONE wants him on their team, like fans from all 32 teams don’t want him.
The guy has a rep for being more into himself than the game of football. He's also been inconsistent and owns the lowest QBR of any quarterback likely drafted in the first round. But he also has a cannon for an arm. He might be worth that first-round price as a lower pick and if the team drafting him already has a QB that can show him the ropes, providing he's willing to learn. He needs to prove he's more than just "all hat and no cattle".

Either Levis or Stroud I'd be ok with. (Assuming the Texans draft Young) With Pierce and PC, Levis could do some really damage with his deep ball.
If not, Ballard is through!
@@jamelramseur I've been a huge Ballard fan for his entire tenure. He built a dominant defense and has many pieces on offense for us to compete for many years. But I do 100% agree with you. If he has a top 5 or even 3 pick, he must get either Young or Stroud. Either one would make us into a serious contendor.
But if he trades back, he might be fired on draft day after round 1. QB has held this team back since Luck retired. We do still need a RG, but that's pretty much it. The way I see it, draft Stroud in the top 5 and a solid RG in round 2. Then maybe a solid blocking TE in round 3 and more O-line depth after that. This team is so damn close to contention and Stroud paired with JT, Pittman, Pierce and PC would be absolutely deadly. Plus you give him a top 5 defense and it's going to be a much better team going forward. This absolutely must be the year we get our future QB. And Stroud better be it.

Man, I think I’m warming up to Levis. Bryce is, no doubt, far more talented, but he looks like Geno Smith in the pocket with a stronger arm to me. He can easily be an average-above average (top 15-12) QB in the league. Probably has the best chance to be one right away in the NFL of any QB in this class. High floor.
I can’t believe they picked Sean Clifford over him 👀
After CJ Stroud & Bryce Young, many believe Kentucky QB Will Levis is the next best signal caller in the 2023 NFL Draft. That has been consistent throughout the year even though he may not have put up the numbers people expected. Draft “experts” still love his game & expect him to be drafted in the 1st round.

The best college player is rarely the best nfl player.
All you see is a running qb.
.
He's probably going to be the First QB taken. Bryce young is 5'11 180ish. Stroud is a classic Ohio state qb. That's not good in drafters eyes. He has the best arm, he's the hardest worker, best off the field, the team fell apart around him, most natural thrower, best size, biggest hands and best footwork/mechanics. Stroud will get picked apart in the draft process white board stuff like that, bryce will get pulled apart for size plus he's a stretched out kyler murray let's be honest. He's very limited with his arm. It's a great arm out to 10 yards outs then he's fucked and just throwing rainbows. meaning everything for bryce wil need to be a 15 yard radius of him route tree wise unless it's all fades and shit. Stroud too mechanical, can't do read wells, has a powerful arm, is a very good athlete but he's not a natural thrower, he sucks a touch passes unless they are planned. If everything goes perfectly he's great but it's the nfl. Florida guy might be 2nd gone.
He telegraphs the direction of his throw before the ball is even snapped. It may work in college but not in the NFL.
QB’s that play at a high level for schools like Kentucky imo are the ones to seriously look at. They’re usually not surrounded by a full team of 5 star recruits but succeed any ways.
I hope this enough for the Titans. I'm not so sure.
1:23 was a laser. I don't see much else though. Deep ball hangs and wobbles
I’m sold, welcome to Indy
Belichick had a top 30 visit with Will Levis. This was surely Bill O Brian's call. Might as well get a good look on him.
I hope he goes to a good organization
He’s no Caleb Williams but he certainly has the potential to be really good
Best passer in the draft. See how he throws to targets all over the field-left, center, right? Some of these other top guys stare down one side of the field, and just wait for their one superstars receiver to get open. In the NFL, guys like that, when it’s not there, have problems. Guys like Will Levis, who have a brain to go with a big arm, succeed.

He’s gonna shoot up the draft boards. 3 QBs in top 5
I read L.A Rams were thinking about drafting him but he'll probably be gone before they can!!
Tight flares but a lot of these balls are easy INTs in the league. I don’t see the hype for an early pick but he could do well with coaching
Has a good arm thats about it honestly maybe should be a late first or early second rounder
You called it right!
Idk, a lot of these throws are picks at the next level
