Growing up in the late 90's one would remember owning a Gameboy Color and a Pokemon Pinball game, and playing that game on hours on end. It was one of the most coolest games to have and play in a nice quiet corner with the lights off and your light connector adapter connected to the game console.
This game. This damned game. This was the only game that would actually make me mad enough to slam down my Game Boy D: Ugh I felt anxious just watching the gameplay. Super fun, but so frustrating at times.
This game used to make me so angry. I could never do the Map Move, so I always just ended up catching the same Pokemon in the same spots over and over.
The very 1st Pokémon game I’ve played. It felt good to reminisce through the gameplay of this. Thank you for the upload and good stuff on the Hi Scores!
- I melted my first GBC playing this 10 hours each day. - I was lost for words with this game at times, so I had my older brother teach me some new swears to better describe my experience, at times.

I was the happiest kid in the world when I got a Gameboy Color and this great game for my birthday. I used to spend hours with it! Aww, nostalgia. The old good days that will never come back.
Loved this game since I was 9, despite being pretty bad at it. But this year I finally managed to get on the leader board! I’m 23 btw lol. It’s always had the best music too. So many tracks are so so pleasant to listen to.
As someone who played this as a kid and is now 28, I highly recommend playing it on an emulator with infinite ball cheats. Im trying to complete the pokedex once and for all. So far i have 92, only 58 left. And ive been playing for hours. Very fun. And yes still very frustrating
I owned an Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and I never owned a Pokemon Pinball game yet. In it, the ball is a Poké Ball, and most of the objects on the table are Pokémon-related. Like any pinball game, the main objective is to get points, using the different modes of advances to score them at a higher rate. Pokémon Pinball has a secondary objective hinted at by the tagline "Gotta Catch 'em All," which is to collect all 151 Pokémon to fill your Pokédex. The Pokédex is saved between individual games, so it can be built up over time. Pokemon Pinball is a Game Boy Color game that is backward compatible with the original Game Boy and Game Boy Pocket.
I just got Sucked Punched straight in the childhood. This is one of the three games that defined my first gaming year, along with Tetris and Wario Land.
I asked myself this question for the longest time, so I began observing. It is not the score itself, nor is it specific to a single part of the table. It's the end of ball bonus. What tipped me off was the number of times I acquired an extra ball after each increase of the bonus multiplier; that more than anything else seemed to do the trick. Long story short: 1 Extra Ball per 100,000,000 end bonus points.
This game feels like it's in slower motion here. I feel like I'm better at getting the on table bonuses (CAVE/Field) but you're better at not losing balls. This game was too hard for me to get all 150 pokemon, but now I'm only 7 short. If only you could choose the city/location instead of having to randomly change a few times.
This was the only game I ever used the GB printer with. You were able to print out your high scores if you had a printer, and I'm not sure but I also think you could print out pics of the Pokemon you captured as well.
Transitions between 2 screen are very long, Its second, or half second, but there should not be any transitions here. There is a GBC game, super robots pinball or somethibg like this, where camera always follows the ball (like the did in pokemon pinball gba version)
Dangerous game. You could play this shit forever.
Got stuck in a bathroom for 2 hours playing this 😂😂
Emulator helps alot
Bruh, that switch to pallet town brought back my childhood anxiety 😂 I nearly threw my phone on the floor.
These scores make my 12 year old self feel like shit.
AMEN!!
Mine too. I had only seen one of the bonus levels. 😂
oh man the nostalgia is real, i remember this game kicking my ass when i was on long car rides to places.

Omg this game dude. Used to piss me off so bad
Oh man... I feel so old now. I remember being a kid and playing this on my gameboy color/pocket. Haha, how time flies by.
1999 wasn’t even that long ago.
@@foreversolvent5334 Nearly a quarter of a century, people that were born when this game came out are finishing college now.

Omg indeed... this game was so frustrating I remember it when I was 13, couldn't complete the damn pokedex 😂😂I might try again 16 years later
That was smb 2 for me. Broke my gba
I have mine still. And once I saw the Digletts. I went >:(
I'm 32 and I still haven't filled my Pokedex. F u Mewtwo. XD
So…many…Missed opportunities in this damned game. Good times
This was my very 1st Pokemon game I've ever played! Nostalgia time!
This game used to make me so angry. I could never do the Map Move, so I always just ended up catching the same Pokemon in the same spots over and over.
what shall you call your brand new pikachu?

I remember Red's table being a betch! Blue was easier by FAR.

True. But thank god I don't refer to it much.
Blue was easier but Red was my go to

Blue was my favorite. Red gave me constant anxiety.

Misty the Crapposting Furry I am 23 now. My childhood ended long ago. :(

How old where you when you got the gameboy?
You can get a gba emulator and download it for free.

That's the best part imo, so cute.

Checking this out because someone selling on FB market for cheap, and just nodding along to these banger songs. Wow, what a cool game!
I ordered a JP copy last week and it's so much fun. Don't know how I missed out on this gem when I was younger but it feels truly underrated
PIIIIIIIKAAAAAAA
Pikachu *-*
That's what I loved to see when Pikachu gets SQUISHED by a Pokeball all the time to bring it back up.
It's just not the same without the loud buzzing sound that accompanied the vibration effect,
**Pixelated Electrocution Noises*
Was ADDICTED to this back in 2003!!!
This and Pocket Bomberman!
Used to play this for hours with the OG battery in the game! Still some of the best VGM and FX eveeeeer!

Save states as well! Then you never have to fail an objective.
This is one of the first games I owned on a GameBoy Color. I loved it!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who would basically play "Who's That Pokemon?" with the game's silhouettes
Despite having the normal pokemon games, I definitely played this even more. I need to find a handheld so I can play this again on an emulator
When the scrwen shifts from the bottom of the table and back wld drive me nuts i think
34:27 - I have never seen anyone that lucky before.
Nicely played! I watched it all :)
He did it twice so far where I'm at
At 1:07:50
That was pretty insane haha
I've always loved to see Pikachu get SQUISHED by a Pokeball. But that was the only way to get the Pokeball back up.
I found my old cartridge, and its súper addictive!! What a great game!!
If you've played this when you were a kid, it's time for your prostate exam
Doctor diagnosed me with ligma 😢
Lol this game just made me nostalgic...I always used to favor the blue table cause it was more easier to play !
How are you so good at this?!
Literally jamming to the music for the entirety of this video. I can't sit still.
Quite possibly the the most rage inducing game to ever be released on the Game Boy Color. Good times.

This is the 8-bit version of the Japanese First Opening of Pokemon Anime

Funny how Catch Em Mode music in the Blue version is the first Japanese theme to the anime.

That sound of "PIIIIIIKAAAAAAA!!!" is very distorted to 8-bit because the GBC as well as the GB, the GB Pocket, and the GB Light are 8-bit.
Never made it to dugTrio this game had me by the balls as a kid
Dang! You’re a beast at the game. I never got that far when I played the game
Why is there so many magicarp and jiggly puff? Ive never gotten the same pokemon that much.
This was the first video game i ever played back in like 2002 when i was like 4 or 5 ahhhh the memory's
I remember playing this in my youth.
Haunter's face of pure disgust that it was hit. Lol.
I'm only here because Luna Bloom ASMR mentioned this
What I want to Know is Did you Get All those Pokémon?
For whatever reason, I always find myself far more interested in the Pokémon spin-offs than I am in the mainstream games.
Didn't Donkey Kong 5 use the OST of this game?
Alefikouhi it did, along with some sounds if i recall.
Funny enough, the song of the blue table is a remix of the Ecruteak City from the Johto (Gold and Silver) series.
Remember you had to put the aa battery in the cartridge for vibration.
Holy jesus, 2:03:00 that seel bonus performance is beyond impressive :O
I had this game when I was 7. I basically mashed the buttons everytime the ball came hoping something would happen.
at 1:29 made me remember who's that pokemon the middle of every episode of the anime.
I don’t know WHY, but I got rid of all my game boy games. EXCEPT this one. I have the game boy colour and this game. Blessed
my heart is racing so fast watching this
In which town can you find charmender and articuno?
I found charmender
TomKofod I a think articuno is another gen
Nope hahaha, articuno is in this game. I've already got him now tho
I've completed the pokedex, including mew
TomKofod PIIIIIIKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
I had all 150 or 151 back in 1999. Those are probably the same numbers of times I got yelled at for flipping out on my Game Boy Color
1:07 That part was the highlight of my childhood.
The Pikachu cry is so loud xd
My favorite type of music in this Pokémon game is the red field because the music is catchy
I just got Sucked Punched straight in the childhood.
This is one of the three games that defined my first gaming year, along with Tetris and Wario Land.
Played this with the sound off and could still hear that pika
Wasn't there buttons to rumble the screen or am I not remembering this game right?
How does one get an extra ball on this game anyhow? I always thought it was after reaching a certain score. But it appears I was wrong.
+IsaacsStuff I believe it's to get 20 CAVE bonuses. Maybe with the same ball.
I asked myself this question for the longest time, so I began observing. It is not the score itself, nor is it specific to a single part of the table. It's the end of ball bonus. Did you accomplish the task yet?
My very first game in GBC! It even had a small battery for vibration!
I cannot play this game. Love it to death but I cannot play it. My blood pressure goes through the roof.
I still have this
Cool me to
What type of pokeball is that blue one ?Doesn't seem like a greatball
Played this as much as the real Pokemon games, honestly. I'll be so excited if they add this to NSO
This was my favorite one when I was a kid
This was the only game I ever used the GB printer with.
You were able to print out your high scores if you had a printer, and I'm not sure but I also think you could print out pics of the Pokemon you captured as well.
I imagine you could. It's been a part of the GameBoy games since the beginning

Why not evolve Magikarp?
hello fellow adults. these sounds make me feel so nostalgic.
I spent so much time playing this as a kid, and it was so hard for me, ugh.
this game was baller, with the battery rumble pack on a GAME boy
God the way you wait for the slot machine to run..... omg i pressed that button as soon as possible to end the animation.
this game was super frustrating when I was a kid but I also loved it
This was my first ever GameBoy Color game.
I'm sure Nintendo will release Pokemon Pinball for Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in the future.
I'd love that. Pinball Ruby and sapphire is fun too (coming from a guy who never played it before) but this would be pure nostalgia.
@@SonicFan3642 never did did they
I loved this game as a kid I. The 90s... I never got to the "end",apparently there really isn't one???
In which table and in which city can I get Pinsir in this game?
Blue table, Celadon City.
Always thought the master ball should be a one hit catch. Would make it more useful. Especially since you have to catch 151 to finish.
