This is so slick on the surface but is full of nonsensical moves. He mentions paracetamol yield once and goes on ostensibly about codeine yield based on solubility over and over. The most salient error is not crushing the codeine into powder. This guy and his careful moves can't find a way to crush pills without them flying all over? I tried to stir pills without crushing once and gave up. I left them in water overnight and stirred again and was not able to dissolve the pills. Maybe his brand is more soluble? But it is a silly oversight not to crush the pills into a fine powder. This coming from Canada; two comments that apply to The Great Good Place. This video is exceeding with 20 minutes of shiite and largely contains Much Ado About Nothing. I must just be an obtuse colonist. Not a good instructional video. Hey there, I'm not sure even with your "heaps of experience" you've really understood much. It does also raise the question as to why you're following a guide on a subject you have so much knowledge on. If you crush the pill's, you will lose some to what ever surface you're crushing them on. If you're ok with that, go for it. Again, I'm not sure why you didn't when you have so much experience on the subject. Why not do it the way you have experience on. If you left them overnight and they still didn't dissolve, I imagine they would probably sit in your stomach for hours. Someones telling little white lies 😉. Just be patient and they will dissolve. Some take longer than others, but just sit them to one side and walk away for 30 minutes if you're feeling impatient. I'm not sure why you would be trying to yield paracetamol. This process is to remove it. Solubility is mentioned several times, because that is precisely what makes this process work. Paracetamol has relatively low solubility in water (around 1000mg per 100ml at 5c), this means if you keep the water amount below 100ml and cold, you will be left with a normal dose. Codeine however, is incredibly soluble in water. You can dissolve basically as much as you want in that 100ml. I appreciate you have so much more experience than I did in this video many years ago, but I have a feeling I may have just a little more knowledge than you now. If you would like to attempt to correct me, please feel free. You may not understand my reply though. Alternatively, you could try being less rude to people. No one is forcing you to watch. I indeed performed fractional crystallization for all my 30s and 40s extracting codeine like a reckless fool. You emphasize your codeine yield over and over but you spend a cursory bit on the real life-saving part which is getting rid of paracetamol. I have been on the green liquid methadone for a few years now and i hate it or as its known on the streets liquid handcuffs it completely dictates my life and one of the worst side effectd is the sweating which you sweat 5 times more than the average person, plus to come off it i hear it takes months compared to heroin which takes 5 days to a week, methadone goes into your bone marrow and the stories I hear are just horrendous so with this video I am going to keep some of this filtered codeine in the fridge for when I am detoxing from methadone very bad and only drinking a bit for when i am in real pain as to make the detox more bearable anyway thank you very much for this video Scott much respect from Ireland.

I have tried this 4 times now. Each time it gets less ‘cloudier’ that’s all down to my ‘freezing time’ my freezer doesn’t take 50 minutes like yours. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I’m doing 600mg at a time. 2x300mg so I’m repeating the process. Brilliant video and what a life saver. Thanks Scott.
Good video, cheers, especially the bit about safety towards the end, which I’d just like to emphasize: With opiates, you can NEVER be too careful; if you take too much, at best you’ll vomit and get constipated, and at worst your breathing WILL stop. Everybody metabolizes codeine at a different rate, so until you try it, you don’t know what your tolerance is. Most over-the-counter co-codamol tablets in the UK contain 8mg of codeine phosphate; the maximum recommended dose for a HEALTHY adult is 8 tablets over 24 hours (mainly to avoid paracetamol [called acetaminophen in the US] poisoning, which can cause liver failure), or less if you’re underweight. So if you’re used to taking 8 tablets, that’s up to 64mg of codeine (minus whatever’s left in the filters), so you can NEVER assume that taking 100mg of codeine is safe. Dihydrocodeine is usually prescribed in 30mg tablets in the UK, and the max recommended dose for a HEALTHY adult is one every 4-6 hours, or less if you’re underweight, up to an absolute max of 180mg over 24 hours once you’ve built tolerance up, so don’t dive in at that level. If you’ve got slow metabolism, opiates (including codeine) can take hours to take effect, so don’t rush onto the next dose. Some people are even ALLERGIC to opiates, which in rare cases can cause anaphylactic shock, but in many people causes itchiness. Most people reading this probably know this, but if you take opiates every day, physical dependence (addiction) kicks in; so when you stop, you get WITHDRAWAL symptoms which can be unbearable and last for a week or more, including vomiting, diarrhoea, sleeplessness and generally feeling like hell. Chemists usually say don’t take codeine for more than 3 days in a row, but everyone’s different. If you’re unsure about anything, phone your local drug and alcohol service; they’re not gonna tell you off (in the UK) - their main concern should be harm reduction. In the UK they can provide you with a Naloxone injection, which can be administered to someone who overdoses, however it will only bring them round temporarily until the Naloxone wears off, so the FIRST thing you must do is call 999 or 112 immediately. just wanted to add this because lots of the commenters seem to be unsure. here's my procedure/ritual: 1: i always use 180mls of water for 1, 2 or 3 boxes of 32. anything more than 3 boxes gets about 250ml of water. 2: unlike the video uploader i do crush mine up first. i have a pestle & mortar. put it in your measuring glass. then, in a seperate glass, add cold water from the tap/faucet and hot water from the kettle (dont use hot tapwater), 3: put the glass to your lips to check the heat. the temperature needs to be warm, NOT HOT. the kind of temp you might take a bath in. if its too hot to touch then its too hot. 4: i'll then add the water and stir it all up for about 15 mins then put it in the freezer. i leave it in there for about 30 minutes. if youre doing more than 3 boxes i'd leave it for about 40 mins. do'nt let it freeze!! 5: then comes filtering. i use kitchen-roll. i wet 2 or 3 squares and make a filter on the glass. if youre doing 3 or more boxes i might do it with 2 glasses with filters on. 6:ill wait 10 minsor or longer if you have the time for it to filter through then remove the filter. bunch it up and squeeze out any extra but be careful that it doesnt explode and shoot paracetamol into your codiene. 7:drink up and be happy

Confessions of a codeine cold water extractor. Good video. I’ve done this for over 10 years and tinkered over time. I just give them a really good crush and add some warm water. I find kitchen towel paper is sufficient when folded about 10-15 times. Freezer for 20 mins then let it drain through kitchen towel paper. Let it drain for 10 minutes then carefully drain every bit of liquid that is left in the towel paper. Stay safe everyone and enjoy the nice warm glow of codeine ✌️

It is also in there to deter "misuse" by threatening your organs. These days theyre saying no more than 2g (3g tops) acetominophen per day and no longer than 10 days. So taking over 2g per day (especially if you drink even a little wine) is just a couple of these OTC codeine. There is a law that when opioids are mixed with APAP they are considered "safer" by pharmacies and dispensed more easily. Schedule 3 instead of 2. S2 opioids can be very hard to acquire, even with a script. In my area (backwards as fuck) the only commonly prescribed opioid without APAP is fentanyl. Yup.

Most concise CWE video out there. Im coming off methadone myself so I'm using this method with Tylex 30s to cushion the withdrawals, or to have on hand for I need to leave the house. I had 500mgs in there but ended up spilling about 100-150mgs when placing it in the freezer. Anyway timer set for 50mins. No coffee filters so a t-shirt will have to do. I've done it before but not with this level of precision. Ill post my results, thanks again.

Get that tooth extracted. Feeling nauseous will be the least of your worries when you go septic from the infection. Once you go septic there's not much they can do for you except try to manage symptoms & hope you live. You will either pull through or die from sepsis. There's no in between.

I feel you there my man, I had a bad work accident resulting in needing my spine fused in the front and back, by the end I was taking 40 tablets (2 boxes) per day of 5mg immediate release Oxycodone (200mg Oxycodone)(called Endone here in Australia) i was taking 75mg in the morning, 50mg at lunch and another 75mg at dinner. They were amazed that I was still alive and I didn't even look intoxicated. During all of this, not only was I pain free but I was also getting high as a kit and felt amazing everyday and the doctor (making $250 for every visit) never said a word and continued prescribing more and more until one day he had his license revoked for doing this to other patients who accidentally overdosed and died. So one day I had 40 tablets per day and the next day I had none, nobody would prescribe them and they would only help if I agreed to go on methadone and started treating me like a criminal when i had done nothing wrong. I refused, found a doctor eventually who would help and they slow weaned me off by dropping 2 tablets per week until I came off all meds. It was long but I did it and I've been sober for 14 months. The prescription drug market is savage, they will prescribe them but take no responsibility for what happens after that.

I followed this video years ago. I was having issues with back pain and was taking cocodamol. I followed this method to the letter and it works perfectly. I felt comfortable with the doses and never had any issues. Very good guide as long as you take the time to understand what your doing. We have the right to pain relief without the shit they mix with the pain killer. If you have to do it yourself....are sure you do it safely! Edit - I've started using a kitchen scale set to ml to measure. I find it works very well. Put the tablets into the jug, set it on the scale and zero it. Then add water. I find it very accurate.

Only I can take way over 900 Mgs with no problem 1 would be better off Just getting Codeium that would be codeine with nothing in it It's a C2 drug in the U.S But with a mix of other crap it's a C3 or 4 ? & that I don't get !

5. The most accurate volume measurement is actually by weight. Weigh the empty container, then the container with the liquid, then subtract. Because the density of water is 1 g/mL, the weight difference in g is also the volume in mL. All the best!
The most accurate measurement device in my household, across four different devices which were tested, was a measurement cup which comes with medicines.
@@dixie8418 Say a really good volumertic device will measure volume to +/- 0.1 mL. Say you use it to measure a volume of about 100 mL, then your measuring error is 0.1 / 100 X 100= 0.1 %. But a decent 'pocket' scales (eBay, Amazon) will weight to 0.0 1g. The measuring error is then 0.01 /100 X 100 = 0.01 % (ten times better). Volumetric measurement is use often in chemlabs because it's QUICK and easy but if it's accuracy an analyst requires, you cannot beat gravimetric measurement.
@@gmeyers01 indeed, the gravitational method was used to test the volume of each measuring device, two different sized Pyrex jugs, shot glass with markers and a measuring cup that is usually supplied along with a medicine, and the results had concluded that only one out of four were accurate,. which was the medicine cup. Of course, don't take my word but test the results for oneself.

But the amount of people I’ve met who are completely clueless about the chemicals they are taking is too much. People should no these things. I was having an argument with an addict that was trying to tell me that pure heroin is raw opium!? Lol I tried to explain that you need lot's of raw opium to make a smaller amount of heroin and heroin is stronger than opium. He wasn't having it though. 🤦
On forums I have always heard that the point of using ice cold water is because paracetamol is not very soluble at that temperature. It is not very soluble in itself in water but it dissolves slightly better in water at room temperature. It is a way of minimising the paracetamol content even more.
Whilst my setup isn't as elaborate as this, I use a jerry rigged plastic bottle funnel, it sure gets the job done thanks to this guide and another I found on the Codeine subreddit. First CWE was almost perfect, slightly cloudy, cuz I forgot to predampen the filters! Second CWE which I've literally just completed is clear like water thanks to predampening the coffee filters. Always always use coffee filters or lab grade filters! Socks, tshirts etc are not a substitute! Paracetamol is a liver killer, don't kill yourself for the sake of a pack of £1.45 filters that come in hundreds. Edit: I had a mini fucking overdose the day after and laid in bed for hours trying to manually breathe. A hard lesson in don't take too much at one time lol.

Honestly this guy is a blessing, been swapped from codeine phosphate back to cocodamol cus I was eating 10-12 codiene at a time, swapping me didn't stop that happening it just made me consume 5-6000mg paracetamol 🤦

I've been sober for 2 years now. I still struggle with cravings and the relief codeine gave me mentally and physically. Hence why I am here watching this. I unfortunately didn't always have pure codeine and resulted in having my liver begin to fail. I am so lucky to be at a point where my liver is healing itself after countless drips and hospital visits. So this video does have a purpose. Please if ur watching this to try it. I'm just gonna say really reallly dont go down that path Codeine withdrawals are a living hell and the process of rehabilitation is long and unbelievably painful. But if I can do it anyone can. @@easytutorials0 yes. When I didn't have the option of taking just codeine pills alone. I would buy these online at the time but they were very expensive. We are taking about 230 pounds for 2 packs. Which would last me about a week and a bit. I would also have a prescription from my actual doctor of 500mg paracetamol and 60mg codeine. In the end I would be taking 8 tablets a day MINIMUM. so that's 4000mg paracetamol and 480mg codeine. I didn't care about the repercussions. I didn't care if it killed me. The addiction and depression was so intense.

Yo bro thanks! You've got a knack for explaining things. A natural teacher. I am too and it has taken years to find a video like this. I am always left totally not satisfied with the explanation but this is the first time I was comfortable doing a bulk CWE and keeping several doses around. Everything worked out well, I took 50mL and after half an hour I feel it pretty good (considering my history with the stuff, and how I haven't used in 10 months at all up until now). I did this with 80 8mg codeine tablets for 5 doses, using 250mL. I assumed there would be enough loss that I'd be taking around 100mg per dose, although I put 80*8= 640mg into it. I just didn't bother when I got to the gunk at the bottom man, after 10 months I don't even know what my tolerance is but it used to be a gram of oxy a day to wish I had something better. First time I have taken an opiate in 10 months. Some of the worst months of my whole entire life. I needed to get up and running again before I can get OC back or dope so thank you bro. I already had tried this last week and fucked it up, got a cloudy solution and I was never able to feel the effects from these solutions before due to extreme tolerance and how 50mg still contains a little APAP, something like a gram. Isn't it funny how the whole time I have been far more concerned about paracetamol than oxycodone and or anything I could get my hands on for a fix. And for good reason, doctors should know better than to prescribe shit that has this in it daily. The opiates are fine haha. Mine contain caffeine, so I am also injecting (ingesting lol fuck spell check don't shoot this shit SERIOUSLY because somebody will) approximately 500mg of caffeine. If this works, I shouldn't be able to feel it. That is an equivalent dose (I'm assuming 100mg per 50mg but I used more codeine so I'm going on the 'unsafe' side of +/-) to 30mg of oral morphine. I haven't used in 10 months so the first time my tolerance should be shockingly low. 10mg oral morphine or even 2.5mg oxy used to do me well so I will definitely know if this worked. The solution was almost crystal clear, it had a tinge of opaque to it. Nothing cloudy or anything but I could tell there was a little stuff in it and the taste was mildly bitter. I stored it in a container like you too so I can measure out 50mL. It's never going to be entirely accurate, I would guess about a 10 to 25% loss of product but considering codeine metabolizes into morphine and is cheap as making a deal with the devil my junky brain is already feeling this 25 minutes later on an empty stomach and is very satisfied. Remember, don't take more than 50mL at a time because I think that amount can still contain a gram of paracetamol. You seem like a chill guy I really appreciate this because paracetamol has been the bane of my existence. I brought my concerns up to my doctor (was prescribed heavier shit, and was doing heavier shit than I was prescribed) and he shut me down on the spot, saying that taking a few grams of paracetamol daily was fine. It's not really concidering I used to binge drink, they don't really ever listen it seems. If someone has to do this, man, what is wrong with the world today. Is there even a warning on the box because with my prescription it was never brought up that a handful of those pills, nowhere near my opioid tolerance, could at the very least damage my already damaged liver (I'm assuming) and at most leave me with a slow and gruelling death. It isn't like an OD where you pass out and wake up like 12 hours later if you take to much APAP. It sounds horrific from what I've heard. Man thank you so much honestly and your camera work was great. Also, I used room temperature water and stirred for a solid 10 - 15 minutes without crushing them with a pill crusher. I think that's smart, and this was only my first attempt. I'm sure I could find an old fashioned corktop bottle and then maybe the best weigh to dose if I really needed it to be 50mg within a mL, would use a scale and weigh out 50 grams of the magical pain relieving solution. I don't mind the caffeine, wish there was a way of getting rid of it since I have so much anxiety and already drink a lot of tea.

Hed been clean for months - don't remember the exact days, mos,hrs, etc. But, he did a 8 ball based on what his old tolerance WAS and died on the crusty, funky, scummy sidewalk outside of the Vipor Room on Hollywood Blvd, Ca, USA. Whilst I appreciate this video is about minimising risk, if your not already dependant on opiates, seriously don't go down this route. This is exactly how my addiction started, then tramadol, then morphine , finished off with an intravenous fentanyl habit. I'm 4 years clean, and I'm absolutely no where near being able to experience joy, or being happy. Unless you need it for pain , don't take it.
Joseph Figueroa magnesium and l-theanine I found useful to help relaxation, I also benefited greatly when I took vitamin C, clonidine is known to be extremely helpful, but I never had access. As a last resort loperamide late at night will improve the quality of rest hugely, but it's an opiate, just doesn't cross the brain blood barrier, so it addresses wd symptoms without the positive enforcement of catching a buzz. Definitely last resort , only use if the alternative is returning to previous drug use, be mindful not to just end up changing your drug of choice. I found on occasions when the rls was it's worst, get up, go do something rather than laying there going nuts! Well done coming this far, times on a go slow for you at this stage, but it will change, hang in there. Best regards Neil
Yup I'm at this stage now and still somewhat comforted that this type of thing still does it for me and I haven't graduated from Codeine, but it's physically impossible to get 7+ days off work to quit while I'm ahead.
Using a bichnel filter with the filter papers and a flask with a vacuum pump would do all the draining in one go it would do the job in seconds. Good job I have that equipment! Great video though. 16:00 Normal if it's cloudy it still has impurities in the codeine water. You can refill and filter it another time, once or twice to make sure that it is more clear and clean. I made some tonight, and I just couldn't bring myself to ingest it on account of the cloudiness. I used a folded over silk scarf (8 ply) for the extraction. So I really need to buy filters tomorrow. It wasn't worth pushing my liver, so I just swallowed a half of one tablet with water, to ward off my sickness.
I have a large collection of organic chemistry labware, and the lab vacuum filters are superior, however if you dont settle or filter first with larger pore filter such as coffee filter, they clog very easily and a vacuum aparatus must be used. Also, small molecular weight PET dissolved in your extraction water (0.2-0.7% solution) it selectively solivates the opiate and yields of 90-94% can be achieved. Noting the solubility of the particular opiate and using stochimeteric amount of water just enough to dissolve the target product +5-8% (some other species will dissolve) will help eliminate collecting unwanted molecular species, use 20% more or so if not using PET. If you have access to a centrifuge (i have a small 8 tube centrifuge) it can be spun to remove any solids easily that the filter missed. For better yields, re-wash the leftover solid with 30% of original water used and slightly acidify with dilute hcl to encourage hydrogen bonding and dissolve target into solution. Repeat filtering and add to first extraction. Bring filterate soln. to a boil for a couple minutes to evaporate out most of the HCl as it is a gas in pure state, be sure to have ventilation due to the excaping HCl gas. On newer pills that contain hypermellose or other forms of modified cellulose that is water soluble this technique will not work, the cellulose creates a viscous solution very difficult to filter, and it also binds the target not letting it come into solution. Let it settle and pour off liquid and rewash solid 2 more times and repeat and add to same boiling flask. Boil the collected extract down to about 1/5 original volume and discard solid precipitate, the cellulose has a low critical temp of 45C, above that it will become insoluble and most can be filtered off by removing solid while keeping solution at 60C minimum. A cleaner extraction can be achieved by salting out binders and most other polymer species by addind NaCl salt to the filtered extract. The salt creates more attraction between the water making it more polar, and since the modified cellulose contains mostly ether functional groups that cannot hydrogen bond, it will precipitate out and can be filtered and discarded. This can also be used to remove "cloudiness" from extract, but will require a solvent extraction or recrystalization of the target species to separate from the salt solution. Though this can achieve much purer and higher yields, i do not recommend the later techniques to anyone unless they have organic chemistry knowledge; failure to remove the cellulose and salt can be very dangerous if injected!!! I use a solvent based extraction followed by recrystilization of the opiate, which yields the pure oil or crystals of the target. It then is weighed and dissolved in water to yield final desired concentration. Keep in mind opiates are very insoluble in water so excess water must be used to prevent large losses of product. However, using more water also allows more unwanted species to dissolve. Check the inactive ingredients and research their physical properties such as solubility b4 attempting this as each pill is different. All thing can be removed, but some require more advanced knowledge of chemistry.
Great tutorial. You can get less loss if you vacuum filter the stuff after the big chill. Also putting in a plastic container then freezing solid then thawing slowly in the fridge will make it a much better clarity and consistency for the filtering step. ❤ if you are willing to do basic chemistry you can do an acid base extraction followed by crystalizing it. To do so take your filtered solution and make it acidic with citric acid. Add an oil or other nonpolar solvent to it and shake gently. This removes the garbage thats in it. Next save the water fraction now make it basic to a PH of about 13. Add a volitile nonpolar to it for extraction of the codiene. Do it in 3 portion with shaking for 2 minutes each time and save the nonpolar solvent. Do this 3 times from the basic solution. Next dry the nonpolar sollvent with a bit of dry MgSo4 aka epsom salt baked in an oven till its crispy. Now prepare a solution of dry isopropyl alchohol and saturate it with fumaric acid. Then mix this with your nonpolar solvent containing the codiene. The codiene will crystalize as the fumarate salt. Give it a bit of time to finish then filter out the codiene crystals and allow to dry completely. The purity will be 99% plus codiene fumarate. This technique works for any alkloids you like from sources ranging from pills to plants btw. ❤

For anyone curious this is the safest way to extract codeine. I’ve tried this method multiple times and it has worked flawlessly. Only problem is getting the tablets. I live in a small town and there’s only 3 chemists 🤣
Me to, getting clear liquid every time now. Do you know how long it can be stored in the fridge for once its filtered ? I was thinking of making 3 or 4 batches at once but I'm not sure if the codiene would dissipate or the solution would weaken if it was stored in the fridge for to long? We use a similar method in the US with Percocet to extract oxycodone. Using sterile water and slow evaporation to strengthen the solution it is perfectly safe to IV. Nice simple tutorial and easy to understand for the novice user.
Tim Elbert I usually just extract a dose at a time.. Eight 10mg tablets have the same effect as 2 Roxy 30s imo.. Just follow the tutorial and don't use too much water and you can slam within 3 hours. You can evaporate excess water in a glass container on a warm hot plate or stove. Heat doesn't destroy oxycodone as quickly as it does codeine.. Just keep your heat source on the lowest setting.
Thanks for the reply I had two glasses both with the same filters you used, both were wet but I noticed the one that was drier did not filter as good so I re filtered it and the water is basically clear. I'm glad I saw this video I used to take about 6 x 30/500 at 1 time and then another 2 half hour later.
Glad to hear you are getting a clear solution using this method :-). I also find that filters fail even though they would appear to be intact. If in doubt throw filters away and start again with a fresh one. I'm glad you are no longer taking dangerous amounts of APAP, but I would like to point out it's not safe to take a second dose before 3 hours given the half life of codeine. There are many threads on drugs forums on dosing that may be of benefit to you.
Acetaminophen, or paracetamol, is still soluble in cold water: 3.3 grams per pint at 0 Celsius, 3.7 g per pint at 5 Celsius, 4.3 grams per pint at 10 Celsius. You need to measure the water temperature at the end of filtration and assume the water is saturated with acetaminophen at that temperature. I'm not saying, "don't do this." Rather, I am saying be aware of how much acetaminophen you're still getting.
Exactly, I worked out if you keep your liquid in a fridge while it filters, your liquid will stay at 5 celsius or below. Assuming you filter the liquid at 5 celsius as a max temperature, the final paracetamol concentration in the filtered liquid will be around 8mg / ml. Assuming you drink 50ml for a 100mg codeine dose, you're taking 400mg of paracetamol or not even 1 full paracetamol tablet with your dose.
Exactly, for me, in the water there is paracetamol and not codeine, because it is not soluble in water but only in organic solvents, such as for example gasoline, used for cocaine in forests 😀

3. DON’T filter w/o a suitable funnel. For coffee filters dedicated funnels are available. Maximise yield by cold rinsing the sludge and what is on the filter with SMALL amounts of ice cold water.
I used to take nurofen plus which is ibuprofen rather than paracetamol, with higher codeine also (12.8 mg). The problem is that when your addiction gets too high, it starts costing a LOT of money to the point where you're not willing to lose the 20% of the yield and you just stop caring. Ibuprofen overdose doesn't do the damage paracetamol will do in the short term, but over time, it will destroy your stomach. Codeine addiction is no joke.

I did this and it was still pre cloudy looking and I followed each step properly and I had 127.2 mg of codeine per liquid ounce and my liver didn’t fail when I sipped an ounce so I think it’s okay if it’s a bit cloudy
a day or 2, but the clock is ticking. Pharmacy liquids come with LOADS of stabalisers. Over a day or two, the liquid will rot and even if not, the codeine will degrade naturally. Its even sensetive to U.V light,,, and why phaarmacy use brown bottles

I've just made a batch its in the freezer I used 33 30/500 mg ones so 990 with 495 of water I'm just wondering now If once it comes out that's too strong and it's gonna kill me or something ? I have a huge tolerance to codeine use it everyday when I take actual codeine phosphate tablets I take around 600mg and am fine and take about 900 mg a day in 3 doses morning lunch and nighttime what do you think mate can it kill you ?

Even with a huge tolerance it's better to be safe. I'd space out the dose over an houror 2 if you're desperate for relief just in case.

How long does it last in the fridge? Had a tooth abscess recently and ended up in hospital on the tablets, would be great having some ready in case of an emergency.
500mg last about half an hour for me. 2 years of use. For newbies than 250mg dose which last 4 hours is as good as it gets. CWE is an emergency use for me. If unlike me you have no pain and just want to get high make it a weekend thing and you'll be fine. Anymore and your body will become physical addicted even if you're not mentally.

This is an old comment but, kitchen scales arent 100% accurate either buying an accurate scale will cost you a pretty penny actually... You are better off buying an accurate measuring cup/jug.

Decided to write a new comment with a few tips to go with this video. First of all use a digital kitchen scale set to ml. That's the most accurate way to ensure you're getting the correct measurements. Don't mix the tablets. Put them in whole with mildly like warm water, cover with cling film, put safe out of reach and just leave it. I've left mine all day like that until I have time to do the rest. By the time you start the tablets will be 100% dissolved. Just a quick mix to break up the sediment. Filters - use coffee filters, double them up but fold the seams first on both. The seams are the weak point. When I started doing that I always get a much clearer solution. I use two doubled up for the top liquid and 2 single filters for the sediment. I put all of the sediment into the filters too. Be patient. Put everything aside, out of reach and just wait. Once everything is filtering there is nothing more you can do to speed up the process. Allow the liquid to seep out of the sediment and you will be getting your full yield. The pop top bottles are a good idea. I store 100ml (100 mg) in each. Weigh your filters containing the sediment after. Allow for the weight of the filter and the water in it. It doesn't have to be exact but it's another peace of mind element. Don't over soak the filters. They should be damp all over but if they're dripping they're more likely to break. As I said in my comment below...we have a right to consistent and effective pain relief. This method works and works well. If you use you're head and make sure you're using a consistent method there is no reason you can't obtain a safe dose. The NHS treat us like babies and the pharmaceutical companies are filling tablets with shit that is ineffective and dangerous. A pure codeine solution does no damage to the body. It must be noted that of course there is a danger of addiction. Codeine is an opiate...it is highly addictive. Be careful. Hope that helps some people.

I personally like Codeine (well i dont use opi's anymore but i did) at around 240mg (eq to about 24mg morphine). In the US we have "Tylenol 4" which is 60mg each and i think 325 APAP. I always found codeine to be weak but once you have enough for it to convert to a decent amount of morphine, its great. The one thing i notice is it can cause AWFUL itching, usually just the first time you use it in a while (i used to keep benadryl around). Thanks for the detailed CWE tutorial, actually gonna use it on Butalbital/APAP capsules. No need for unneccesary liver damage and the inability to drink alcohol
trying it with Hydrocodone 10mg /325 tylenol but when i mixed for over 15 mins i can see all the lumps still of the pill in powdery form i will now freeze 45 mins and filter and see the results but wondering why its so bulky still after longg time of stering

This is so slick on the surface but is full of nonsensical moves. He mentions paracetamol yield once and goes on ostensibly about codeine yield based on solubility over and over. The most salient error is not crushing the codeine into powder. This guy and his careful moves can't find a way to crush pills without them flying all over? I tried to stir pills without crushing once and gave up. I left them in water overnight and stirred again and was not able to dissolve the pills. Maybe his brand is more soluble? But it is a silly oversight not to crush the pills into a fine powder. This coming from Canada; two comments that apply to The Great Good Place. Hey there, I'm not sure even with your "heaps of experience" you've really understood much. It does also raise the question as to why you're following a guide on a subject you have so much knowledge on.
If you crush the pill's, you will lose some to what ever surface you're crushing them on. If you're ok with that, go for it. Again, I'm not sure why you didn't when you have so much experience on the subject. Why not do it the way you have experience on.
If you left them overnight and they still didn't dissolve, I imagine they would probably sit in your stomach for hours. Someones telling little white lies 😉.
Just be patient and they will dissolve. Some take longer than others, but just sit them to one side and walk away for 30 minutes if you're feeling impatient.
I'm not sure why you would be trying to yield paracetamol. This process is to remove it. Solubility is mentioned several times, because that is precisely what makes this process work. Paracetamol has relatively low solubility in water (around 1000mg per 100ml at 5c), this means if you keep the water amount below 100ml and cold, you will be left with a normal dose. Codeine however, is incredibly soluble in water. You can dissolve basically as much as you want in that 100ml.
I appreciate you have so much more experience than I did in this video many years ago, but I have a feeling I may have just a little more knowledge than you now.

I have been on the green liquid methadone for a few years now and i hate it or as its known on the streets liquid handcuffs it completely dictates my life and one of the worst side effectd is the sweating which you sweat 5 times more than the average person, plus to come off it i hear it takes months compared to heroin which takes 5 days to a week, methadone goes into your bone marrow and the stories I hear are just horrendous so with this video I am going to keep some of this filtered codeine in the fridge for when I am detoxing from methadone very bad and only drinking a bit for when i am in real pain as to make the detox more bearable anyway thank you very much for this video Scott much respect from Ireland.

I have tried this 4 times now. Each time it gets less ‘cloudier’ that’s all down to my ‘freezing time’ my freezer doesn’t take 50 minutes like yours. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I’m doing 600mg at a time. 2x300mg so I’m repeating the process. Brilliant video and what a life saver. Thanks Scott.

With opiates, you can NEVER be too careful; if you take too much, at best you’ll vomit and get constipated, and at worst your breathing WILL stop.
Everybody metabolizes codeine at a different rate, so until you try it, you don’t know what your tolerance is.
Most over-the-counter co-codamol tablets in the UK contain 8mg of codeine phosphate; the maximum recommended dose for a HEALTHY adult is 8 tablets over 24 hours (mainly to avoid paracetamol [called acetaminophen in the US] poisoning, which can cause liver failure), or less if you’re underweight.
So if you’re used to taking 8 tablets, that’s up to 64mg of codeine (minus whatever’s left in the filters), so you can NEVER assume that taking 100mg of codeine is safe.
Dihydrocodeine is usually prescribed in 30mg tablets in the UK, and the max recommended dose for a HEALTHY adult is one every 4-6 hours, or less if you’re underweight, up to an absolute max of 180mg over 24 hours once you’ve built tolerance up, so don’t dive in at that level.
If you’ve got slow metabolism, opiates (including codeine) can take hours to take effect, so don’t rush onto the next dose.
Some people are even ALLERGIC to opiates, which in rare cases can cause anaphylactic shock, but in many people causes itchiness.
Most people reading this probably know this, but if you take opiates every day, physical dependence (addiction) kicks in; so when you stop, you get WITHDRAWAL symptoms which can be unbearable and last for a week or more, including vomiting, diarrhoea, sleeplessness and generally feeling like hell.
Chemists usually say don’t take codeine for more than 3 days in a row, but everyone’s different.
If you’re unsure about anything, phone your local drug and alcohol service; they’re not gonna tell you off (in the UK) - their main concern should be harm reduction.
In the UK they can provide you with a Naloxone injection, which can be administered to someone who overdoses, however it will only bring them round temporarily until the Naloxone wears off, so the FIRST thing you must do is call 999 or 112 immediately.

Hey sorry to bump an old comment with a stupid question but if I’ve got 32 200mg paracetamol and 12.8mg codeine tablets how much water would you say to use?
just wanted to add this because lots of the commenters seem to be unsure. here's my procedure/ritual:
1: i always use 180mls of water for 1, 2 or 3 boxes of 32. anything more than 3 boxes gets about 250ml of water.
2: unlike the video uploader i do crush mine up first. i have a pestle & mortar. put it in your measuring glass. then, in a seperate glass, add cold water from the tap/faucet and hot water from the kettle (dont use hot tapwater),
3: put the glass to your lips to check the heat. the temperature needs to be warm, NOT HOT. the kind of temp you might take a bath in. if its too hot to touch then its too hot.
4: i'll then add the water and stir it all up for about 15 mins then put it in the freezer. i leave it in there for about 30 minutes. if youre doing more than 3 boxes i'd leave it for about 40 mins. do'nt let it freeze!!
5: then comes filtering. i use kitchen-roll. i wet 2 or 3 squares and make a filter on the glass. if youre doing 3 or more boxes i might do it with 2 glasses with filters on.
6:ill wait 10 minsor or longer if you have the time for it to filter through then remove the filter. bunch it up and squeeze out any extra but be careful that it doesnt explode and shoot paracetamol into your codiene.
7:drink up and be happy

Good video. I’ve done this for over 10 years and tinkered over time. I just give them a really good crush and add some warm water. I find kitchen towel paper is sufficient when folded about 10-15 times. Freezer for 20 mins then let it drain through kitchen towel paper. Let it drain for 10 minutes then carefully drain every bit of liquid that is left in the towel paper.

It's sad how pharmaceutical companies/laws prefer people overdosing than people getting high.
It is also in there to deter "misuse" by threatening your organs. These days theyre saying no more than 2g (3g tops) acetominophen per day and no longer than 10 days. So taking over 2g per day (especially if you drink even a little wine) is just a couple of these OTC codeine. There is a law that when opioids are mixed with APAP they are considered "safer" by pharmacies and dispensed more easily. Schedule 3 instead of 2. S2 opioids can be very hard to acquire, even with a script. In my area (backwards as fuck) the only commonly prescribed opioid without APAP is fentanyl. Yup.

Most concise CWE video out there. Im coming off methadone myself so I'm using this method with Tylex 30s to cushion the withdrawals, or to have on hand for I need to leave the house. I had 500mgs in there but ended up spilling about 100-150mgs when placing it in the freezer. Anyway timer set for 50mins. No coffee filters so a t-shirt will have to do. I feel you there my man, I had a bad work accident resulting in needing my spine fused in the front and back, by the end I was taking 40 tablets (2 boxes) per day of 5mg immediate release Oxycodone (200mg Oxycodone)(called Endone here in Australia) i was taking 75mg in the morning, 50mg at lunch and another 75mg at dinner. They were amazed that I was still alive and I didn't even look intoxicated. During all of this, not only was I pain free but I was also getting high as a kit and felt amazing everyday and the doctor (making $250 for every visit) never said a word and continued prescribing more and more until one day he had his license revoked for doing this to other patients who accidentally overdosed and died. So one day I had 40 tablets per day and the next day I had none, nobody would prescribe them and they would only help if I agreed to go on methadone and started treating me like a criminal when i had done nothing wrong. I refused, found a doctor eventually who would help and they slow weaned me off by dropping 2 tablets per week until I came off all meds. It was long but I did it and I've been sober for 14 months. The prescription drug market is savage, they will prescribe them but take no responsibility for what happens after that.

I followed this video years ago. I was having issues with back pain and was taking cocodamol. I followed this method to the letter and it works perfectly. I felt comfortable with the doses and never had any issues. Very good guide as long as you take the time to understand what your doing.
We have the right to pain relief without the shit they mix with the pain killer. If you have to do it yourself....are sure you do it safely!
Edit - I've started using a kitchen scale set to ml to measure. I find it works very well. Put the tablets into the jug, set it on the scale and zero it. Then add water. I find it very accurate.

The most accurate measurement device in my household, across four different devices which were tested, was a measurement cup which comes with medicines.
@@dixie8418 Say a really good volumertic device will measure volume to +/- 0.1 mL. Say you use it to measure a volume of about 100 mL, then your measuring error is 0.1 / 100 X 100= 0.1 %. But a decent 'pocket' scales (eBay, Amazon) will weight to 0.0 1g. The measuring error is then 0.01 /100 X 100 = 0.01 % (ten times better).
Volumetric measurement is use often in chemlabs because it's QUICK and easy but if it's accuracy an analyst requires, you cannot beat gravimetric measurement.

On forums I have always heard that the point of using ice cold water is because paracetamol is not very soluble at that temperature. It is not very soluble in itself in water but it dissolves slightly better in water at room temperature. It is a way of minimising the paracetamol content even more.

Whilst my setup isn't as elaborate as this, I use a jerry rigged plastic bottle funnel, it sure gets the job done thanks to this guide and another I found on the Codeine subreddit.
First CWE was almost perfect, slightly cloudy, cuz I forgot to predampen the filters!
Second CWE which I've literally just completed is clear like water thanks to predampening the coffee filters. Always always use coffee filters or lab grade filters! Socks, tshirts etc are not a substitute! Paracetamol is a liver killer, don't kill yourself for the sake of a pack of £1.45 filters that come in hundreds.
Edit: I had a mini fucking overdose the day after and laid in bed for hours trying to manually breathe. A hard lesson in don't take too much at one time lol.

@@easytutorials0 yes. When I didn't have the option of taking just codeine pills alone. I would buy these online at the time but they were very expensive. We are taking about 230 pounds for 2 packs. Which would last me about a week and a bit. I would also have a prescription from my actual doctor of 500mg paracetamol and 60mg codeine. In the end I would be taking 8 tablets a day MINIMUM. so that's 4000mg paracetamol and 480mg codeine. I didn't care about the repercussions. I didn't care if it killed me. The addiction and depression was so intense.

Yo bro thanks! You've got a knack for explaining things. A natural teacher. I am too and it has taken years to find a video like this. I am always left totally not satisfied with the explanation but this is the first time I was comfortable doing a bulk CWE and keeping several doses around. Everything worked out well, I took 50mL and after half an hour I feel it pretty good (considering my history with the stuff, and how I haven't used in 10 months at all up until now).
I did this with 80 8mg codeine tablets for 5 doses, using 250mL. I assumed there would be enough loss that I'd be taking around 100mg per dose, although I put 80*8= 640mg into it. I just didn't bother when I got to the gunk at the bottom man, after 10 months I don't even know what my tolerance is but it used to be a gram of oxy a day to wish I had something better.
First time I have taken an opiate in 10 months. Some of the worst months of my whole entire life. I needed to get up and running again before I can get OC back or dope so thank you bro. I already had tried this last week and fucked it up, got a cloudy solution and I was never able to feel the effects from these solutions before due to extreme tolerance and how 50mg still contains a little APAP, something like a gram.
Isn't it funny how the whole time I have been far more concerned about paracetamol than oxycodone and or anything I could get my hands on for a fix. And for good reason, doctors should know better than to prescribe shit that has this in it daily. The opiates are fine haha.
Mine contain caffeine, so I am also injecting (ingesting lol fuck spell check don't shoot this shit SERIOUSLY because somebody will) approximately 500mg of caffeine. If this works, I shouldn't be able to feel it. That is an equivalent dose (I'm assuming 100mg per 50mg but I used more codeine so I'm going on the 'unsafe' side of +/-) to 30mg of oral morphine. I haven't used in 10 months so the first time my tolerance should be shockingly low. 10mg oral morphine or even 2.5mg oxy used to do me well so I will definitely know if this worked.
The solution was almost crystal clear, it had a tinge of opaque to it. Nothing cloudy or anything but I could tell there was a little stuff in it and the taste was mildly bitter. I stored it in a container like you too so I can measure out 50mL. It's never going to be entirely accurate, I would guess about a 10 to 25% loss of product but considering codeine metabolizes into morphine and is cheap as making a deal with the devil my junky brain is already feeling this 25 minutes later on an empty stomach and is very satisfied.
Remember, don't take more than 50mL at a time because I think that amount can still contain a gram of paracetamol. You seem like a chill guy I really appreciate this because paracetamol has been the bane of my existence. I brought my concerns up to my doctor (was prescribed heavier shit, and was doing heavier shit than I was prescribed) and he shut me down on the spot, saying that taking a few grams of paracetamol daily was fine. It's not really concidering I used to binge drink, they don't really ever listen it seems. If someone has to do this, man, what is wrong with the world today. Is there even a warning on the box because with my prescription it was never brought up that a handful of those pills, nowhere near my opioid tolerance, could at the very least damage my already damaged liver (I'm assuming) and at most leave me with a slow and gruelling death. It isn't like an OD where you pass out and wake up like 12 hours later if you take to much APAP. It sounds horrific from what I've heard.
Man thank you so much honestly and your camera work was great. Also, I used room temperature water and stirred for a solid 10 - 15 minutes without crushing them with a pill crusher. I think that's smart, and this was only my first attempt. I'm sure I could find an old fashioned corktop bottle and then maybe the best weigh to dose if I really needed it to be 50mg within a mL, would use a scale and weigh out 50 grams of the magical pain relieving solution.
I don't mind the caffeine, wish there was a way of getting rid of it since I have so much anxiety and already drink a lot of tea.

As a last resort loperamide late at night will improve the quality of rest hugely, but it's an opiate, just doesn't cross the brain blood barrier, so it addresses wd symptoms without the positive enforcement of catching a buzz.
Definitely last resort , only use if the alternative is returning to previous drug use, be mindful not to just end up changing your drug of choice.
I found on occasions when the rls was it's worst, get up, go do something rather than laying there going nuts!

I made some tonight, and I just couldn't bring myself to ingest it on account of the cloudiness. I used a folded over silk scarf (8 ply) for the extraction. So I really need to buy filters tomorrow. It wasn't worth pushing my liver, so I just swallowed a half of one tablet with water, to ward off my sickness.

I have a large collection of organic chemistry labware, and the lab vacuum filters are superior, however if you dont settle or filter first with larger pore filter such as coffee filter, they clog very easily and a vacuum aparatus must be used. Also, small molecular weight PET dissolved in your extraction water (0.2-0.7% solution) it selectively solivates the opiate and yields of 90-94% can be achieved. Noting the solubility of the particular opiate and using stochimeteric amount of water just enough to dissolve the target product +5-8% (some other species will dissolve) will help eliminate collecting unwanted molecular species, use 20% more or so if not using PET.
If you have access to a centrifuge (i have a small 8 tube centrifuge) it can be spun to remove any solids easily that the filter missed. For better yields, re-wash the leftover solid with 30% of original water used and slightly acidify with dilute hcl to encourage hydrogen bonding and dissolve target into solution. Repeat filtering and add to first extraction. Bring filterate soln. to a boil for a couple minutes to evaporate out most of the HCl as it is a gas in pure state, be sure to have ventilation due to the excaping HCl gas.
On newer pills that contain hypermellose or other forms of modified cellulose that is water soluble this technique will not work, the cellulose creates a viscous solution very difficult to filter, and it also binds the target not letting it come into solution. Let it settle and pour off liquid and rewash solid 2 more times and repeat and add to same boiling flask. Boil the collected extract down to about 1/5 original volume and discard solid precipitate, the cellulose has a low critical temp of 45C, above that it will become insoluble and most can be filtered off by removing solid while keeping solution at 60C minimum.
A cleaner extraction can be achieved by salting out binders and most other polymer species by addind NaCl salt to the filtered extract. The salt creates more attraction between the water making it more polar, and since the modified cellulose contains mostly ether functional groups that cannot hydrogen bond, it will precipitate out and can be filtered and discarded. This can also be used to remove "cloudiness" from extract, but will require a solvent extraction or recrystalization of the target species to separate from the salt solution. Though this can achieve much purer and higher yields, i do not recommend the later techniques to anyone unless they have organic chemistry knowledge; failure to remove the cellulose and salt can be very dangerous if injected!!!
I use a solvent based extraction followed by recrystilization of the opiate, which yields the pure oil or crystals of the target. It then is weighed and dissolved in water to yield final desired concentration. Keep in mind opiates are very insoluble in water so excess water must be used to prevent large losses of product. However, using more water also allows more unwanted species to dissolve. Check the inactive ingredients and research their physical properties such as solubility b4 attempting this as each pill is different. All thing can be removed, but some require more advanced knowledge of chemistry.

Great tutorial. You can get less loss if you vacuum filter the stuff after the big chill. Also putting in a plastic container then freezing solid then thawing slowly in the fridge will make it a much better clarity and consistency for the filtering step. ❤ if you are willing to do basic chemistry you can do an acid base extraction followed by crystalizing it. To do so take your filtered solution and make it acidic with citric acid. Add an oil or other nonpolar solvent to it and shake gently. This removes the garbage thats in it. Next save the water fraction now make it basic to a PH of about 13. Add a volitile nonpolar to it for extraction of the codiene. Do it in 3 portion with shaking for 2 minutes each time and save the nonpolar solvent. Do this 3 times from the basic solution. Next dry the nonpolar sollvent with a bit of dry MgSo4 aka epsom salt baked in an oven till its crispy. Now prepare a solution of dry isopropyl alchohol and saturate it with fumaric acid. Then mix this with your nonpolar solvent containing the codiene. The codiene will crystalize as the fumarate salt. Give it a bit of time to finish then filter out the codiene crystals and allow to dry completely. The purity will be 99% plus codiene fumarate. This technique works for any alkloids you like from sources ranging from pills to plants btw. ❤

For anyone curious this is the safest way to extract codeine. I’ve tried this method multiple times and it has worked flawlessly. Only problem is getting the tablets. I live in a small town and there’s only 3 chemists 🤣
Me to, getting clear liquid every time now. Do you know how long it can be stored in the fridge for once its filtered ? I was thinking of making 3 or 4 batches at once but I'm not sure if the codiene would dissipate or the solution would weaken if it was stored in the fridge for to long? We use a similar method in the US with Percocet to extract oxycodone. Using sterile water and slow evaporation to strengthen the solution it is perfectly safe to IV. Nice simple tutorial and easy to understand for the novice user.

Tim Elbert I usually just extract a dose at a time.. Eight 10mg tablets have the same effect as 2 Roxy 30s imo.. Just follow the tutorial and don't use too much water and you can slam within 3 hours. You can evaporate excess water in a glass container on a warm hot plate or stove. Heat doesn't destroy oxycodone as quickly as it does codeine.. Just keep your heat source on the lowest setting.

Thanks for the reply I had two glasses both with the same filters you used, both were wet but I noticed the one that was drier did not filter as good so I re filtered it and the water is basically clear. Glad to hear you are getting a clear solution using this method :-). I also find that filters fail even though they would appear to be intact. If in doubt throw filters away and start again with a fresh one. I'm glad you are no longer taking dangerous amounts of APAP, but I would like to point out it's not safe to take a second dose before 3 hours given the half life of codeine. There are many threads on drugs forums on dosing that may be of benefit to you.

Acetaminophen, or paracetamol, is still soluble in cold water: 3.3 grams per pint at 0 Celsius, 3.7 g per pint at 5 Celsius, 4.3 grams per pint at 10 Celsius. You need to measure the water temperature at the end of filtration and assume the water is saturated with acetaminophen at that temperature. I'm not saying, "don't do this." Rather, I am saying be aware of how much acetaminophen you're still getting.
Exactly, I worked out if you keep your liquid in a fridge while it filters, your liquid will stay at 5 celsius or below. Assuming you filter the liquid at 5 celsius as a max temperature, the final paracetamol concentration in the filtered liquid will be around 8mg / ml. Assuming you drink 50ml for a 100mg codeine dose, you're taking 400mg of paracetamol or not even 1 full paracetamol tablet with your dose.
That's why you use as little water as possible.

3. DON’T filter w/o a suitable funnel. For coffee filters dedicated funnels are available. Maximise yield by cold rinsing the sludge and what is on the filter with SMALL amounts of ice cold water.

I feel like there are definitely ways to verify the concentration of your solution but its been a while since i took chem lab lol.
I used to take nurofen plus which is ibuprofen rather than paracetamol, with higher codeine also (12.8 mg). The problem is that when your addiction gets too high, it starts costing a LOT of money to the point where you're not willing to lose the 20% of the yield and you just stop caring. Ibuprofen overdose doesn't do the damage paracetamol will do in the short term, but over time, it will destroy your stomach. Codeine addiction is no joke.

I did this and it was still pre cloudy looking and I followed each step properly and I had 127.2 mg of codeine per liquid ounce and my liver didn’t fail when I sipped an ounce so I think it’s okay if it’s a bit cloudy

I have a huge tolerance to codeine use it everyday when I take actual codeine phosphate tablets I take around 600mg and am fine and take about 900 mg a day in 3 doses morning lunch and nighttime what do you think mate can it kill you ?

Even with a huge tolerance it's better to be safe. I'd space out the dose over an houror 2 if you're desperate for relief just in case.

500mg last about half an hour for me. 2 years of use. For newbies than 250mg dose which last 4 hours is as good as it gets. CWE is an emergency use for me. If unlike me you have no pain and just want to get high make it a weekend thing and you'll be fine. Anymore and your body will become physical addicted even if you're not mentally.

Decided to write a new comment with a few tips to go with this video.
First of all use a digital kitchen scale set to ml. That's the most accurate way to ensure you're getting the correct measurements.
Don't mix the tablets. Put them in whole with mildly like warm water, cover with cling film, put safe out of reach and just leave it. I've left mine all day like that until I have time to do the rest. By the time you start the tablets will be 100% dissolved. Just a quick mix to break up the sediment.
Filters - use coffee filters, double them up but fold the seams first on both. The seams are the weak point. When I started doing that I always get a much clearer solution. I use two doubled up for the top liquid and 2 single filters for the sediment. I put all of the sediment into the filters too.
Be patient. Put everything aside, out of reach and just wait. Once everything is filtering there is nothing more you can do to speed up the process. Allow the liquid to seep out of the sediment and you will be getting your full yield.
The pop top bottles are a good idea. I store 100ml (100 mg) in each.
Weigh your filters containing the sediment after. Allow for the weight of the filter and the water in it. It doesn't have to be exact but it's another peace of mind element.
Don't over soak the filters. They should be damp all over but if they're dripping they're more likely to break.
As I said in my comment below...we have a right to consistent and effective pain relief. This method works and works well. If you use you're head and make sure you're using a consistent method there is no reason you can't obtain a safe dose. The NHS treat us like babies and the pharmaceutical companies are filling tablets with shit that is ineffective and dangerous. A pure codeine solution does no damage to the body. It must be noted that of course there is a danger of addiction. Codeine is an opiate...it is highly addictive. Be careful.

I personally like Codeine (well i dont use opi's anymore but i did) at around 240mg (eq to about 24mg morphine). In the US we have "Tylenol 4" which is 60mg each and i think 325 APAP. I always found codeine to be weak but once you have enough for it to convert to a decent amount of morphine, its great. The one thing i notice is it can cause AWFUL itching, usually just the first time you use it in a while (i used to keep benadryl around). Thanks for the detailed CWE tutorial, actually gonna use it on Butalbital/APAP capsules. No need for unneccesary liver damage and the inability to drink alcohol

trying it with Hydrocodone 10mg /325 tylenol but when i mixed for over 15 mins i can see all the lumps still of the pill in powdery form i will now freeze 45 mins and filter and see the results but wondering why its so bulky still after longg time of stering

How would I be able to extract only the Codeine out from tablets that include acetylsalicylic acid & Magnesium oxide so I am left with only the codeine?
