Looks great what is the square footage of the space? I having someone convert mine into a bedroom to 85 sq. Ft. I'm trying to see if two twinn beds can fit comfortably in there.

Nice ....but a lot more info and snaps of the Reno along the way would have helped people contemplating something similar.
The conversion looks really good, the before and after footage really highlights the difference, it could even be said of the finished project that it's 'a cut above the rest' ha,ha!
Looks really great! Did you need planning permission to change the usage? And approx how much did the conversion cost (not including the equipment for the salon)?
Yes you need to make sure you apply for planning permission. Most garages don’t need it but you still need to let the council know your plans. You would have to contact the company for an accurate quote, as all circumstances will be different depending on what is needed so don’t really want to be posting costings on here and mislead anyone. The company we used were very fairly priced and we got 3 quotes before going with this company.

How did they plumb the hair sink and what was the cost to plumb the hair sink ? I'm converting mine as well it a 2 car garage I'm excited
They ran all the pipe work under the new flooring. All quotes will be different as we got it included in the conversion quote.

Looks great I’m thinking of moving and I have a integral garage it’s a terrace house so wondering if was still need to be insulated also do you have to raise the floor for insulation cheers.
Hello, thanks for the comment. It all depends if the walls of the garage are connected to the next house or not. If it’s just connected to another garage I would recommend getting them insulated as it would still be cold from the garage next door. Also yes the floor needs raising for insulation if it’s not insulated already.

Hello Yaz, will vary depending on what needs to be done. We had our downstairs toilet updated and new boiler at the same time. Best thing to do if you are local is give them a call for a free quote📞

Thank you. No we designed it ourselves. Used the marker pen to get a rough idea of where everything was going to go so we could explain it to the builder.

Hello, my partner only works part time so she won’t be looking to scale up anytime soon. She has the option to take on 1 more employee if she wanted in the future as there is enough room for another chair & mirror 💇🏻♀️

What was the size of you garage once all converted just the salon. 👍🏻
Not exactly sure without measuring it but you do lose a fair bit of size due to the floor being raised, the ceiling being lowered and the walls being insulated. But with that being said the space will feel a lot bigger and look a lot bigger as it will be a lot more lighter and if you opt for white coloured walls that will help it feel bigger as well

Hello, no we didn’t as we haven’t extended up or out. But you still need to let the council know so they can decide if you need planning permission or not.

Hello, we applied for it but didn’t need it as we wasn’t extending up or out. I would recommend always applying anyway and then the council will advise you if you need it or not.

I would definitely recommend them, they worked so tidy as well. After they left each day it was all left very neat.
