I just moved my DTF into my garage and I would suggest installing a Mini Split to control your climate.

I’m in the process of moving my craft room to our downstairs room ( which is our garage we converted to a family room aLOT of space 👍🏾🥰) my husband always said “babe you have yarn or sewing or some other crafting items in every room of the house” 🤭 and I do LoL. I said “babe I just don’t have enough room, since it’s only you and I now (empty nesters) can I move to the family room? He said YES PLEASE DO 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so I’m looking forward to seeing your room after…I did a couple reels on IG to show my progress as well….as always blessings and prosperity to you always. ❤🙏🏾

For your garage, I suggest a mini split heater and cooling unit. I have one installed in my attic and it’s absolutely fantastic! It was absolutely unbearable to be up there in the summertime because it was so hot and it was like an icebox in winter but since I had that installed…a room of comfort. With all your electronics and your inks and things you definitely want climate control in your garage.

I keep boxes too...and they get used for all kind of stuff. It was great to know another crafter does the same thing! Lol

Katrina 🌠🙏you’re still young. Save your back and leg muscles. For next major weight equipment moves or repositioning invest in furniture moving aids i.e. furniture sliders. Save those muscles for more important activity.😂🩰🏃♂️🎥🍦☕️
Yes! My mom always said as a girl do not lift or push really heavy stuff as it may cause issues that you do.not.want.
Hi Katrina. Did you ever find the screen for the garage? Also, I need your help. I have the 8550 but I keep getting a streak line going through my page. I've done all the maintenance test but am still getting them on my waterslide paper using prem glossy. What else can I do?

Katrina, noticed a little opening near the bottom of your garage door when it was closed where small and a bit bigger critter could get in. May want to see if they can seal that to keep the screaming to a minimum. 😅😂😊

You do way to much crafts not to own. I know you spent a good piece of money on a rental
You’re definitely going to need some type of HVAC system. It will definitely be warm in the summer. Especially since you added insulation. Is your land lord ok with you adding recessed lighting and maybe wall sconces?

Im renting and thought about doing the same thing to my garage. They wouldnt even know because they bought the house from another rental company. neither has been to the house the entire time I been here. So it definitely was a thought and Im sure they would love the remodel. These rental companies do not care.
Yeah they told me as long as when I move out it still looks and can be used for a garage. That’s why did my slat wall free standing.
I am in the garage tooo and my contract put up a removable wall...I wish I could show you pictures. 😊

She really didn't do anything to consider it a renovation, She actually made it better with new floors, finished walls and more electrical outlets. All of which will bring more value to her home if she ever decides to sell it. I am on my HOA and I would definitely approve this moderation.
I understand it makes the home appreciate but I'm confused as to how a HOA could approve a renovation of a rental property. The HOA doesn't own the property. I understand if the owner gives permission but from my experience most owners don't like any modifications being done to the house. @@keyshots4u2
I'm in the process of transforming my garage as well. Love what ya did, but for me, the specks on the floor would give me anxiety! LOL.💜 What happened to your little She Shed? I thought you were building that for a craft space.
Oh no the she’s was to store all my stuff that I had to take out the garage the rest will be stored in my attic. I love the specs. But I’m waiting on my friend to help me finish it. I couldn’t get all the screws to line up. He’s supposed to be coming tomorrow nap update is coming soon.

Katrina, did I hear you correctly, 3500 not 35,000? I live in California, I don’t we can get the amount you have done for no less than 5000-?
Yes only $3,700 with everything materials and labor and the movers were $500. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to afford $35,000.
I planned on doing that to my garage when I moved in, but my husband quickly too it over as his mancave. I actually put indoor outdoor carpet down in my garage to also help on those cold days. I know your going to love all the extra space. I can't wait to see what you do with all that space. Lol we left all those bugs back in Bklyn, I don't miss them bugs at all.
Katrina that price for the floor, wallls etc was a bargan and only $500 for the movers. Wow.
some recommentdations:
As for the garage door, look into the doors with the small windows on the top of the doors, they give off quite a bit of light during the day,
You will also, I'm sure notice the unsightly hot water tank in the back. I used Lattice to over mine up, may want to use that great mind of yours to find a way to conceal yours.
Worried about hot and cold in the garage? Get you one of those heat/air conditioners that mount on the wall. It doesn't need a hole in the wall for venting and It offers plenty of heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer.

You doing it. Suggest get an electrician to verify the load you putting on in the garage and something to protect the water heater and get access to that in case you have to shut it off quickly and not damage any of your equipment. It's gonna look great I see what you doing 🔥🔥🔥🔥
She had new dedicated circuits put in with 20 amp breakers by a electrician

I was disappointed when this video ended because I was so excited to see the process! I’m so happy for you! I can’t believe the total cost of this project and the contractors and movers fees! Yeah they hooked me up and no was blessed. The movers gave me that price because I used them before. At first they told me $600. I’m a negotiator. And Rodney was referred to me by a friend. I’m so grateful I had good people that helped me.

Unfortunately when we bought our house, was before I started my craft business and my husband claimed our finished garage as his man cave. I am definitely getting a new shed this summer to store some of my inventory so that’s a start.

i LOVE IT!! Can't wati to see it finished. I love renovations. I turned my covered back area into a 300 square ft she-shed for my embroidery business and I love it. I use to have a storage cloaset and picnic table there with a barbecue grill. Waiting to see what you have coming, congrats!!

Yeah my contractor already told some things I can do for the garage door. Right now it’s comfortable and it cold so I don’t need anything else hopefully I’m not here too many more winters

Hi Katrina. I have my craft room in just part of my garage in Wilmington, NC. I don't have nearly as much equipment as you, but I have quite a bit. For me it's cold in the Winter and Hot in the Summer. One thing I can tell you is to insulate the garage door. It does get quite hot here in the Carolinas. You did a great job!

This is nice Katrina.. I just wish u had the guy who did the epoxy put a clear hardening top coat on the floors after the the curing to prevent the floors from scratching when u move the equipment and being that you didn’t I think u should invest into some sliders to put under things u may move and it will help when u want to move things around he and yourself did a great job
There was a clear coat added on top I didn’t show that part while he was doing it because I wasn’t here. And I already said I needed to get moving pads

I was referred this contractor. The first guy I had hired never showed up crazy. So glad everything turned out great for me. People like to take advantage of females these days. But if you thinking about it. It just might be your time to do it.

We put in the same floor in our garage. We left the garage door slightly open to dry and the next morning we found a garden snake.
