That fix at 2:45, thanks! I ordered their conversion kit but that made the M2 almost as bad as the default strap again, with the weight of the headset resting completely on your cheeks. Then I used the padding of the conversion kit in combination with the Halo strap, but while that padding is grippier, it also pulled on my hair and made it painfull to wear. But I just tried this padding fix from you and it's absolutely perrrrfect!
I just bought one of these M2 Pro straps on 02/10/2022 from Amazon, and it seems to be the updated model that you refer to in this video. I have NO problems whatsoever with comfort or slipping. I had to research just how this thing was supposed to work. For people who don't know, the magnetic attached battery on the back charges the battery in the headset. It's not just another spare battery. Apparently you charge the magnetic battery and in turn it's charging the headset battery, so basically you charge both batteries by charging the magnetic battery. Why was it so difficult to have that explained by anyone? Thank you VR Kommando ! It seems to me that it more than doubles the life of the headset battery although I didn't actually measure it. I played many many rounds of the Walkabout Mini Golf before finally getting a low battery indicator. Yep, I like this thing.
Yea, the bobovr battery functions as a power bank. That's how power banks work.
The reason that was "so hard" to explain by other people is because it's pretty obvious, that's how powerbanks work.
So it is comfortable and stable in your opinion
It also has technically infinite battery life
@@IamAW me when i have never used a powerbank before until now
First time watching you. As soon as you said "Looking at the pros and cons as usual" and from the quality from the video. Less than a minute in and I've subscribed. Short and very helpful. You're doing amazing work
Thanks : )
holy man! love the transitions and the editing
Thanks for the video!!! You helped me fix most of my vr issues 🙌
Holy moly your transitions are dope. I subscribed only because of them lol
bro the 00:08 transition was dope! litteraly the best thing ive seen all day
Thanks for this video, just bought mine. Subscribed
I bought the 1st head set no battery when it first came out and may I say its very comfy. Ordered one with the battery pack after MRTV had a show about this. Got it for 59 dollars and 1 day delivery. Its a must have if you enjoy using the Q2.
Thats some slick editing 🙂
Great video, tysm!
Really good editing. Awesome video.
great review !
Best accessory purchase I ever made for the quest. Second was the valve Deluxe audio strap. In where I took the headphones off of that and adapted it to the bobovr M2 Pro strap via the joints. Best of both worlds
I have the deluxe audio strap. I'm curious how did you take that off and attach it to this one? Are there guides online?
@@cirmothe9 As far as I know I'm the only one to do it. On headphones I had to shave down the metal female end of where they connect to strap to fit in joint part of bobo. Have to use the original screw for headphones. The one in the Bobo head strap is too short. Then you just have to figure out wire management. Hope that made sense a little hard to explain in text.
I picked up the bobovr M2 Plus version w/ two battery packs which is the updated version over the "pro". It felt ok but more of a hassle to get it right on the head and when tighten for a good fit it did hurt my head. so I returned it and got the Kiwi Design battery strap and that thing feels much better and more comfortable on the head for long sessions plus has a battery too... I'd pick the kiwi design strap over this bobovr, for me for more comfortable and much easier and quicker to put on and take off and it's cheaper than the bobovr
Ordered mine, It should turn up a couple of days after my Quest 2 :) I got some lens ring protectors too. I can do the hairband mod for the controllers so I don't need controller straps straight away but I do have a couple of extra mods I want to get down the line. I think one of the most fun aspects of VR (outside of actually using VR) is how many ways there are to customise and augment our gear.
Nice, yea that's the fun part it's like building and customizing your PC rig to fit your needs.
Review?
@@moonycorn4914 it's very good but not perfect, I feel the M1 pro version might have a better universal fit
@@Clara_Page I see, sounds good! I think I’ll buy the m2 and then if I feel like I wanna change it or test out the M1, I could just buy the conversion kit- but I think either way it’ll be better then the default oculus strap lmfao
At first it feel like it doesnt fit right, and found out after playing with it, i left the middle section un strapped and it fits so much better now
The best Quest 2 add on ever!
Thanks for showing the install! Was wondering why I couldn't get a tight fit, just didn't put the side straps deep enough 🤦
Would you say it takes weight off the front of your face/ forehead??
Hi, Great vid, I'm thinking of getting this setup. If you plug a link cable for pcvr gaming, do you need to remove the battery pack, or is it ok to keep it attached at the same time? (I know depending on USB A-C, OR USB C-C has its own power amperage.)
This is exactly my quest 2 swtup with the bovo case
got mine, in comparison to the elite strap this takes some time to get used to the significant weight with the battery on
those transitions are smoother than my brain
i didnt understand a word of what you said
but i still love the video hehe
At 4:55, where you show the tiny strap - it's not possible to put both that tiny strap and the bigger over-the-head strap through the loophole at the same time right?
Those first 44 seconds were oddly satisfying
So true!
is this only accessories or the vr headset devices itself???
Would they fit in the oculus official carrying case?
anybody have had issues with the arms that you mount the headstrap to start cracking due to the extra strain on them from the m2 sliding mounts, and have a workaround, it seams the original straps that just clip over the howl arm are way better and id like a mount that works the same way that fits the m2
I love how it sounds like I'm listening to swaggersouls doing a review on it ahahah
lol
does the battery show inside of the headset like the elite battery pack strap?
So I’m thinking about buying this but about the “not sturdy” thing, like it not being stable. But anyways how bad is it? Bc that is the reason That is making me not want to buy it, btw do you think I can use tape so I doesn’t do that 😂
Hey just asking what’s the 5 dollar pad name?
I'm told they should be back in stock on Amazon US within the next 24 hours.
I will pay good money for someone to fix my $8000 VR system that Steam told me to FUGGED ABOUT IT and maybe find a local tech person who works with computers and shit, you know, an idiot nerd living in a van down by a river. That is $8000 advice from a company in SERIOUS LEGAL trouble for running a Monopoly. GUILTY!!
@@vrforseniors9830 yeah steam has NOTHING to do with your computer if something on it is broken... and if something aint broken... SteamVR 2.0 should of fixed things on the software end.
Do you have to buy them separately
Thanks for the closer look at the batteries! I've been waiting to see a teardown. A video focusing on battery performance would be great. I also didn't know there are two revisions of the battery out there. How can you tell if you have the old or new one?
Hey no problem, as of right now, doesn't seem like there is a straights answer, I asked them about it and they told me they are experimenting with it, so Im guessing they are still testing the new batch of upgrades against the original release ones. Once I get a straights answer and get my hands on the new stuff, I will do a full comparison.
I ordered the strap a little over a week ago directly from Bobovr. So far I have no shipping info other than the Bobovr status showing that my order is unfulfilled. I'm making an assumption that I probably will get the latest version whenever they feel they have the best solution. Ordering f rom anyone else may be a grab bag as to what level of that model is in their stock. @@VRKommando
I got this strap last week and it’s been sitting in the corner because the one time I tried using it, no matter the adjustment I tried to make, it would not fit tightly around my head. It sat on top of my head like a hat and would move and slightest turn of my head, even at the it’s most tight setting.
What are you using instead? I mostly like this, more so for the battery, but I have the same issue. It’s not tight at all. It bounces around if I move my head and doesn’t sit as close to my face as I’d like.
@@mattfoshee7354 I’m using the head strap by the same brand, just not the version with extra battery. Then I bought an extra battery that’s specific for the quest, but I purchased at Target and it’s by “Wasserstein”. It’s been working great for me.
I had the same problem and saw a video that solved the issue. VR Kommando talks about the strap that goes from the M2 Pro to the Quest 2 at the 4:53 mark in this video. Completely disconnect it from the Quest 2 and that should solve your problem.
Do I leave it plugged in the whole time? or do I wait until my quest battery gets low
Should I get the bobo vr M2 plus that comes with the 2 batteries as the dock for $99
Can you disconnect the battery wire and change it on the headset?
kiwi design strap i say is better with the battery
In my opinion the bobo is way better then the elitestrap. Better comfort better battery life and it is so easy to apply it onto your oculus.
Hi. Thanks for the review. Now I know what accessories should I buy for the Quest 2. I also think about a solution to have the F2 fan re-charged from the Quest 2 and the Quest 2 itself re-charged by the M2 Pro simultaneously is to get a two-USB-C to USB-C hub. Do you think that solution is possible and safe? Thank you.
Sorry for the late reply, the F2 has been recently upgraded and I believe in both old and new version you get Type-C to Type-C cable that goes directly to the B2 battery to charge the F2. I would stay away from a Type C Hub.
i bought bobovr m2 battery head set, it worked great for some time. now when i put the fully charged battery on headset it turns off withing seconds. unable to figure out the problem
I just bought this and the only issue i have is that its not friendly to my headshape
I have a pretty big/long head
The top pieces do not touch my head, unless i compeltely remove the front strap, but my issue is the back piece
It does not grip my head in any situation, and it has to sit really high on my head for it to begin to grip, but then it will just slide off
They need to make the back piece have pivot points, so that the back can easily reset into the Occipital Bone
I think the best fit for a Headstrap, would be to design it based of a Baseball umpire helmet
Image the back piece on this but its on the top and adjustable for the curve of the head, then you have a normal headstrap to grip the back of the head
This completely removes the pressure and it gives a perfect iit and prevents any sliding from the back
Check out my latest video on the M1Pro / Retrofit kit, it fixes the sliding issue : )
And lets you adapt the M2 Pro into an M1 Pro
I have a reality rebuff vr power 2 can that be attached to this please answer!!!😫
How is the screen wiggle when playing a shooter or moving a lot though? I’m torn on this and another one and I have heard this has some wiggle on the screen?
I just got it and have no wiggle, perfectly secure on my face.
could you tell me the heights of both of them in 2:13 please?
i need to know which one is 'taller'
Can I charge mu MQ2 (OQ2) and BOBOVR F2 by using BOBOVR B2 at the same time?
You show you have 2 batteries that you can swap between easily, but on amazon canada there seems to be no standalone battery to purchase, and the strap only comes with 1 battery. Do you know if they’re planning on selling the battery itself separately? Thanks!
Its constantly running out of stock, and seems like its mostly getting new stock on Amazon US & UK : |
@@VRKommando dang :/. Thanks for letting me know!
It's back on Amazon canada now
@@ddkin1937 ayy ty
i played back 0:08 like 30 times ngl that was sick
I bought one of these because my official elite strap broke (waste of money) and I find it really comfortable to use.
I dont understand how people break their elite straps like what are you doing with the quest r u throwing it??? I've had mine for a year and not 1 crack
@@ShadowBotboi It’s the actual strap that’s breaking by itself. They made it with a material that’s doesn’t work good with the side bars and in turn after a couple of months or a year, it ends up cracking.
I’ve just used my bobovr for the first time. I’m not impressed. Stupidly, I gave my Kiwi Strap to a friend. Totally regret that because the Kiwi is a lot more comfortable, secure and simple in design.
The battery pack however is really neat and good quality.
is the m2 plus and m2 pro the same thing?
I am trying to decide wether to get the bobovr m2 pro or the elite strap with charging. I can’t decide between the two because they both seem great. Which one should i go for?
Elite Strap is nice, but eventually it will break, for the same price you could get the M2 Pro with 2 hotswap batteries, but may need to do some mods to fit your needs.
When i put it on my headset and plug it in it doesnt charge it while im playing i have done everything right so idk whats happening, any ideas?
Saludos soy nuevo en esto si voy a jugar con el meta 2 empiezo usando la batería externa para cuando se agote la externa el meta continúe funcionando con la batería de el interna ?????
Can u charge it while your playing
So they advertise the B2 as being 5200MaH but it is actually 3400MaH?
Can you Oculus link through the battery pack?
When I put the bobo battery on my oculus. It does not charge my oculus. How do I fix this?
What is the triangle strap called?
my only problem with this head strap is that it is a little bit farther away from my face so i lose a little but of fov
i never usually listen to reviews as they seems to get on my nerves by the fact they never get to the point and talk forever. your video was the opposite, strait to the point and i ended up buying the bobo face fan, the pro strap and the battery as i get the headset slipping off my face with the default strap almost 2 years after having it.
Thanks for sharing this, really means a lot. That has been the goal since the start of this channel back with Google Cardboard videos.
Hi. Are the games built-in? You have to download the games into the headset? Do you need a PC to connect to download the games? Cannot find a review about how to download games and how to play. Can you play any kind of games?
The oculus works exactly like a phone.
There are free games and paid ones, and you play on it without needing any pc
With that cable plugging into the Oculus, does that mean you can’t use this while playing a game on pc with link cable??
correct, instead you will run on usb power as long as you got a cable and usb port that can handle it.
Cool 🤙 I’ll

They even have a dock now? BoboVR is on that hustle..
In my eyes the dock is kinda pointless because you can’t charge 2 batteries at once on it
@@kilsnacks Yeah, I can understand that view
@@kilsnacks I might buy it because it just makes my setup organized and not 2 or 3 cables charging my oculus and other back up batteries.
Im on the fence between the kiwi upgraded elite vs the bobovr m2 pro. What would you suggest?
I would wait and see what bobo has next. They got something pretty sick tbh.
@@VRKommando that sounds like a good idea, thanks.
I can’t see my iPhone (lion king was a test) through these goggles without closing one eye. What am I doing wrong? I can only see half the picture at a time
why do they give usb c to usb c cable?
they update the batteries?
hopefully you can see the difference in the serial number
I will ask them about that
@@VRKommando any word yet?
@@TheRealFlyingAnt I asked them and they told me they are exploring the options between the two so it seems like its not final. Once I get a solid word or once I have another model to review Ill make sure to take a look at the insides and share my findings.
Mine only came with one battery pack???
Greetings. I just want to ask, where can I get the 5 dollars pad? Can you please provide a link? I couldn't find it anywhere. I just got my bobo VR m2 PRO and I am extremely disappointed since it slips after 10 seconds of any movement. I can't even look down.
Hey, sorry I totally forgot to add the link for that.
Description is now updated with the links for that cheap padding : )
I think there’s screws you can tighten down from an other video I was watching. Just be careful of over tightening it. That may help fix the issue aswell
I had the same problem and saw a video that solved the issue. VR Kommando talks about the strap that goes from the M2 Pro to the Quest 2 at the 4:53 mark in this video. Completely disconnect it from the Quest 2 and that should solve your problem.
Is it safe to use those "unofficial" batteries on the quest 2? I've heard they could damage the headset's battery. Got me a little scared tbh.
Yeah there's no issue..
well......5v is 5v...doesnt matter where is comes from......
Where to buy an extra pad like u added to the back? Thanks
Link in description : )
My m2 pro came with a honeycomb back padding replacement, does that counter the headstrap from tilting up?
That is the m2 plus
Also no it doesn’t counter the headstap from tilting up it just grips your head better
@@enchantedsaiyanv3 I swear my m2 pro came with a honeycomb
My battery thing doesn't charge my headset while I'm playing
Hello if I use the battery on my quest. When I charge the quest will the battery then charge to or do i need to charge them separate. And can i use my headphones aux cable while using this headstrap ? Thx
You charge the B2 battery which also charges the quest 2.
The box says over 5000 mAh (the video shows it's actually 3091) and that it lasts about 3 hours. Mine lasts only one, some online say it lasts two, and others three. It charges mine up while playing, but many online say it doesn't. Terrible quality control and false advertising.
Hi 👋 Can anyone tell me if this is suitable for smaller adult heads, or would it be too loose 😖 Thanks
Can you see the pourcentage of the battery in the quest menu like the oculus elite?
Nope, so far only the official elite has that.
Only oculus certified accessories will show percentages in the headset. Which so far only the elite strap has that certification
Those this back pads are 12... not 5...
Where could I buy an extra top strap like the one used to fix the problem?
I have the same question. Can't find just a velcro strap on Amazon.
@@LoveJiuJitsu i just found out that one came with the pro
PROS: Comfortable Headstrap and Extended Battery.
CONS: USB Debugging does not work through the battery, USB has to be connected directly to Quest Device which defeats purpose of battery use.
Can you wear headphones with these?
Yes
So they say it's a 5,200mAh battery but your tests show 3,400mAh.. are they false advertising?
Every powerbank ever released advertises the internal battery capacity (it became the standard, bigger number is better type of deal). The real output capacity all depends on how efficient the system is, quality of the components and the lithium ion batteries.
So internal battery is usually 4.2v once it goes through the power conversion to be 5v it loses energy, power never stays the same, whenever you move it or change its voltage or amperage you lose bit of energy. Other factors like heat, and constant high load can drop the real output capacity further.
I should have explained it in the video, I did with the other recent ones. Its a test no one is doing on RUclips right for VR straps as far as I know, and I need to explain it in every video I showcase this.
Hope this makes sense : )
Where can I get that velcro strap?
Usually you can get it from another old strap like the halo strap, but if you are lucky you might be able to find one online for cheap, but will be harder to do. It is optional but its good to try your options,.
What is that "$5 pad" that you bought to prevent slipping? Do you have a link?
Check the description : )
What is the wire for?
To plug in to the headset
5200MAH the battery capacity is.
5200 is the original capacity of the cells inside, once it goes through power conversion it will lose energy.
Thats how every powerbank ever made works.
