It was just the English slang for Association Football, and had been for a very long time, long before the word was adopted by the States as the official name of the sport. People who tell you it's an Americanism are mistaken. There have been a few UK TV shows with Soccer in the title since the 60s, and no one ever used to say "that's an American word". That's a recent thing.
I am a wrexham fan but i've had a soft spot for Dorking since i started watching football because Marc is honest as they come, and has no fucks to give mentality which is what i like as well as how Dorking has progressed despite being a part time team... its just grown on me....

I gave up half way through cos I didn't have time to listen and probably missed some more gems. Least is best - so keep a lid on it. 1 hour - come on. 30 mins max for me.
