This guy is a legitimate dude. He manages the side still even though he had zero footballing credentials other than thinking he could just do it better than the pricks running Wimbledon and brought the whole team up to the 5th division with very little. And he is real when he says he didn’t lose the identity of a small time sunday league club because he still organises nights out for the lads and the whole team has a big drinking culture that you’d see in small clubs in all sports. He keeps it so real

He,s right as an away fan ,we were made to feel more than welcome at Dorking , similarly at Dagenham and Redbridge . Couldn't say the same for Bromley and Kidderminster the miserable gets it just makes you think twice about going if they make it so difficult when you get there ,,,many clubs throw out the " it's all about the fans cliche " but don't demonstrate that in real time ...Mark seems like a genuine bloke

I remember it happened at Highbury when we played Liverpool,linesman got injured and they asked over the tannoy if there was a qualified linesman in the crowd,someone stepped up and it was none than the late great Jimmy Hill
It happened at Pompey earlier this season. Except the Ref got injured, then the 4th official who had to run the line ,he got injured aswell so gentleman from the ground had to run the line most of 2nf half. Funniest part was he obviously never had his boots with him so he was wearing a pair of pink Nike boots he must have borrowed off one the players.

Remember at the start of this season, if you time wasted or kick the ball away you'd get an instant yellow. The 3rd man that runs to the referee they'd get a yellow, that lasted 2 weeks

As an official I always start the game letting coaches and players I may boff a call. I’ll say it and move on. Like players and managers we screw up. Too much pressures on league officials. Terrified to screw a call. Idgaf. I may miss one or five, shite happens.

How far down is the 5th division? (where they started) 12 promotions and still outside of the EFL. Those numbers don't add up. 🤷🏻♂️ unless you've got 1-5A and 1-5B

@@snipingkingdom2012 because if it was the lowest division at division 5 ,then 4 promotions would be division 1, then you've got North OR South division, then conference where they are now. That's 6 promotions.
@@weekendwarriorprospecting817 national league is the 5th devision also known as step 1 then is goes all the way down too division 11 step 7 which has loads of parallel league all over the place they would then have further divisions bellow that getting even more local l, remember they started it off as a Sunday league team
